Shopping in Jersey

Despite its small island charm, Jersey hosts more independent stores and boutiques than your average high street. You’ll find luxury goods and bespoke souvenirs from island brands enabling you to take home a memory of Jersey. Shopping for your favourite brands is even easier with the added benefit of VAT-free prices.

Department Stores And Gift Shopping

If you want it all under one roof, check out Voisins and de Gruchy department stores, the ‘Selfridges’ and ‘Harrods’ of Jersey, both located on the main shopping street of St. Helier; both have been developed in recent years to create a cutting edge environment behind the traditional facades. It’s worth a wander through each.

Jersey’s only covered shopping area, Liberty Wharf, offers an array of boutique stores in one place and a great destination for locally-inspired gifts. If you want to take the taste of Jersey home with you, there’s nowhere better to pick up Genuine Jersey products, hampers and hand selected wines than Maison de Jersey on King Street.

Jewellery

Looking for something that sparkles? A visit to Jersey’s oldest jewellers, Hettich offers 117 years of experience and the same VATfree discounts on their world class brands from Cartier to Rolex and their exclusive diamond collection.

For another Jersey touch, keep it local at Rivoli Jewellers, their ‘Centre Ville’ silver collection is influenced by the castings on buildings, lamp posts and street furniture around King Street and the Central Market in Jersey. This local family run jewellers in the heart of St. Helier also features a large, Swiss style, revolving clock, that chimes playing music as it changes scene every hour to the delights of a gathered crowd.

If you’re seeking beautifully bespoke, Catherine Best makes for a designer day out. Browse their extensive showroom with many Genuine Jersey pieces on offer or watch the master jewellers create a bespoke piece to your own design in the open studio. Offering a completely unique jewellery journey, at Jersey Pearl you can enjoy guided talks or even experience picking your own oyster to discover the gem within. The skilled artisans can then string an incredible range of pieces by hand, made to your own design. Back in St. Helier, treat yourself to a piece of Swarovski jewellery or crystal piece at the STORY by Rivoli store or the unique local pieces at Jersey Gems, featuring locally-designed pearl and gemstone jewellery set with Jersey Granite, Jersey Ormer Shell and other gems sourced around our beautiful island.

Boutiques

Boutique shopping at its best all in strolling distance from one another (ideal for heavy bag laden arms). Visit Harriet and Rose for cool giftware on the highstreet. Further up the road, just as you pass the second turning to The Royal Square, you’ll find the relatively new Wild Atlantique that features a malange of items with coastal living vibe.

If you’ve a love for homeware and fashion at its most unique, The Loving Chair Company delivers luxury, colour and imaginative design in droves. There’s also plenty out of town shopping to enjoy. Chi Chi in St. Aubin injects the quaint town with an eclectic dose of worldly trinkets, jewellery, bohemian clothing lines and more. The perfect addition to a day of harbour-side strolling.

Arts And Crafts

If you’re looking for some arts and crafts, head in to the central market or out east to Gorey Harbour to find Jane James Ceramics . If you’re out west before Christmas, wander down the bulwark in St. Aubin to The Harbour Gallery. Exhibiting the work of over 100 local artists and craftworkers you can purchase handmade silver, printed canvases and landmark models as the perfect souvenir.
