It took place at the Grange Hall in Southam and finished off with a short showcase for parents to come and watch on Thursday 28th July, we had some lovely feedback from the parents which will really appreciate and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They performed Street Dance, Acting, Line Dance, Zumba Kids routine, and a Musical Theatre piece from Annie.

I was extremely excited to be starting off our celebrity interview spot with the wonderful (and wacky) Freddie Starr. I had the distinct feeling, that perhaps it wouldn’t be that easy – he’s not renowned for being the easiest of interviewees, but isn’t that part of his charm? I began by introducing myself – explaining I was from the Express Advertiser. “You’re from where?” Freddie asked me, with a slightly suspicious intonation to his voice. I reiterated I was from a small independent advertising publishers (putting the emphasis on small as I didn’t want to be associated with a well-known tabloid of a similar name).

Upon reflection, I believe that he was using Mount Everest as an analogy for the huge task of making hundreds of people laugh on stage night after night. Stand up is renowned for being the hardest (and loneliest) job in show business – so yes Freddie, I totally agree with your sentiment.
