About the Illustrator

Mark met Nate Mellott on a baseball field where Mark was coaching Nate’s cousin. Upon hearing that Nate was a talented artist, Mark gave him the manuscript for MixedUp Morning Blues and asked him if he might be interested in illustrating it. A few days later, Nate gave Mark a couple of drawings that astonished him. Nate’s soulful, childfriendly artwork was exactly what he was looking for. Nate went on to create page after page of just the right stuff. Nate is currently working on his own book – a graphic novel – and is also busy with commissioned projects. www.NathanMellott.com / mellottn@eifrigpublishing.com “Find the fish” key:

Fun stuff to do with this book -- Go through each page and find what is “mixed up”. -- Find the hidden fish on each page (a great time to introduce a magnifying glass to your child). Thanks and enjoy, Mark and Nate
