My 2011 was another good one. It started with a boring shoulder injury which put me out for a few months and stuck on a road bike for a while. But I got to watch my section in 3minute gaps, my largest movie appearance yet! After getting back in the swing of things and back on my 898 I started to go to trails all over the country including some new spots I’ve never ridden before. Also I got to ride the legendary Peynier trails in the South of France on a dirtjump trip with friends. I took my DMR Bolt all over the place too, from a street race in Plymouth, Downhill in the Swiss alps, and xc in France. I hope my 2012 continues with much the same theme. Riding my bike as much as I can. This will be my 9th year riding for DMR. Lets hope they can put up with me for another year! Godspeed.
2011 was a super fun year. Started off in February with a two week trip to California which was an amazing way to start the year. Highlight for me was riding Woodward West and learning new stunts. Rode loads and thanks to DMR traveled all over Europe competing on my 898 meeting new people, riding new spots and visiting some amazing places. Was stoked to win the King of Dirt again and keep the massive trophy. Also getting my DMR Bolt, have wanted one ever since i tested the prototype a while ago, so good to have a bike i can do everything on.

I had a good 2011 with a injury free year and plenty of riding done. I was lucky enough to get sessions in at some of the best trails in the world, which happen to be all nice and local to me in the surrey area which is always a treat on my DMR 898. Also my trails have made the change from being illegal to legal, which is a awesome feeling knowing i can carry on building and riding in the knowledge of them not going anywhere. I was also lucky enough to get my first DIRT magazine front cover (issue #117) and interview thanks to Gareth and Ben. At the end of the summer i went on a rad roadtrip around the UK for a week, taking in some good trails and good times with some good friends.
Really happy to be on DMR for 2012 and Really looking forward to More Riding, Competitions, traveling, filming and of course another California trip.

My Highlight for 2011 was winning the uk dirt wars series, getting to do demos at some awesome festivals and meeting some really nice people along the way. for 2012 i would like to push my riding to the next level and ride more spots across the country and Europe, meet some more people along the way and most of all have some awesome times with the DMR team!

My 2011 year has been brilliant with the help and support of the guys at Upgrade Bikes. The highlight of the year for me was riding with all the pro’s in all the UK competitions, and pulling off my 1st ever 360 backflip! My goals for next year are to improve to atleast a podium in a national competition and i cant wait to travel to some competitions abroad!

2011 has been such a sick year, as i have managed to ride my bike so much!! I’m real happy that i’ve got involved in the comp scene this year, as i was able to ride in pretty much every UK comp. To me, the most important thing with riding is to have fun! This year has been exactly that. Stoked to of had the opportunity to work with Nico Tuner again and featured in his film, ‘Being free’. For 2012 my aim is to progress even more then this year and produce many more edits!
I had a good year racing the DMR Omen in the hardtail downhill class, I won the hardtail Welsh Downhill Championships, Scottish Alpine Winter Series, English Championships, Caersws Cup Series and North Wales Series 2nd overall (HT Class). The highlight of 2011 was at the Welsh Champs where I won the (HT Class) by 14 seconds with a time that would have put me 4th in senior category. I will be racing to defend titles in 2012 and trying out XFusion forks.

2011 was another great year of riding bikes, everything from 4X racing and pump track riding to racing DH and Enduro on my new DMR Bolt. I had a pretty average 4X season in 2011 plagued with a few injures and unlucky crashes and although I had some terrible results I still had loads of fun. I’ve also raced a few Down Hill races on the new DMR Bolt, the highlight of the season being a 3rd place at a British National DH (on a 125mm bike!). Braking my collar bone at the Megavalanche was maybe the low point to the season but i’d done so much great riding in the Alps leading up to the crash I couldn’t be too disappointed.

The biggest highlights of 2011 was racing 4X world cups in Fortwilliam and Leogang as well as becoming the overall winner in the NPS 4X series for the second year running and also being supported by DMR bikes. My aims for 2012 are to progress my racing to new levels and to top 10 in the 4x world cups which i compete in. Also to race as many different disaplines as possible and to have alot of fun doing it.
2012 sees a new exciting direction for 4X and loads of new races to get my teeth stuck into, and as usual I can’t wait for the new season to start! - Cheers Duncan.

£899.99 The Bolt rides like one our 26”hard tails but when you need it, the Suspension is there. The Bolt frame was originally conceived as a Dirt jumper, but over a few prototypes with the Team riders input we’ve developed it into a broader ‘play-bike’ that can be set up for Downhill or Bikepark type riding. Its sort of like a full suspension Trailstar in character. Like all DMR frames it’s made from 4130 Cro.mo steel, we use steel for its excellent toughness and durability. The frame is BB pivoted allowing it to be set up as a single speeder or it can be built with gears by switching the DMR Swopouts to suit. The BB pivot makes for an active suspension system for DH riding, the X-Fusion air shock Comes with a lock out so you can also ride it as a hardtail for dirt-jumping or pump tracks etc.

The rear triangle is a fully rigid unit pivoted on 2 large bearings in the cast steel BB yoke, this is further supported by a swing link onto the front triangle to make the frame laterally stiff – so it pedals really well… The main shock pivot is mounted on two large spherical bearings to eliminate any play; these bearings are rated at 8000 Kgf so they can take a hammering.
