what it takes to become an artist

FROM THE EDITOR

We meet again dear readers… February is the month when most people abandon their new year’s resolutions only to pick them up the next year. But fear not Riyadhis! Our new year’s resolution to bring you the best stories we can find hasn’t gone anywhere. For this year’s Art issue we’ve brought you some interesting stories. A comic book geek who went from aerospace engineering to engineering the perfect pulled lamb sandwich, check out Abdulkareem Alalami’s story in our business section. Aspiring and established artists: We’ve put together a little treat for you in our special feature section. Every Riyadhi must have a guide to the local art scene, all wrapped up in a nice bow for you. Whether your art output is on canvass, fabric, nature or even people, you’re covered. Artists with interesting mediums such as Madeha Al Ajrouch, Fahad Siddiqi, Mashael Faqeeh, Hiba Sultan and calligrapher Fahad Almajhadi have all lent us their stories to entertain and inspire you. Art is all about expression, and so is fashion. What better way to express your identity than with your packaging! Check out our photoshoot How to Saudi: City Style for tips on what styles you can easily localize. If the cold is making you curl up and seek sweet treats, have we got the perfect article for you. We put together a roundup of Riyadh’s favorite sinfully delicious chocolatey treats. Our pages are glossy and therefore somewhat drool proof, so feel free to enjoy.

Meet the Future of Innovation Sarah Al Dossary tells us about the creative mobile and tech shop. By Johara Almogbel

18 DESTINATION RIYADH FEBRUARY 2017

Who are the brains behind tekSPACY? The dream for a makerspace started when I was working with KACST BADIR Program for Incubators where I was the only female member of the Advanced Manufacturing Incubator (AMI). Dr. Mohammed Al Majed was the Director of BADIR AMI at that stage and he had a profound effect in shaping my mind towards advanced

manufacturing. Being the visionary that he is, and his passion for human capital development, he inspired me to make a career change from IT to practical advanced manufacturing. Last year I hooked up with Swiss specialist employability consultancy TeleTegniek Instituut GmbH to do a market research project on the concept in Saudi Arabia. We wanted to establish a facility similar to TechShop or FABLAB in the USA, but one

tekSPACY

In addition, many of the government initiatives to empower women to create their own businesses are challenged by lack of proper business models and training methods. For example, we are developing an innovative way to establish smart phone repairs. It provides needed technologies, necessary training, mentorship and market engagement while making use of the most advanced technologies in the world.

customized for Saudi culture and conditions. Being female, we decided to start with a female tekSPACY. BADIR sponsored the first tekSPACY, and we launched last Nov. 27. It’s a dream come true.

What inspired you to open a manufacturing workshop for women? With what’s called the “Maker Movement” going on around the world there’s a growing need to open the manufacturing sector to women and to develop ways to give all girls access to existing manufacturing facilities. Except for tekSPACY, there are no places for innovative women to convert their ideas into products and in creating it we can inspire many to become self-employed, or start small businesses that manufacture Saudi-made products.

There are a number of manufacturing hubs in the region. What makes tekSPACY stand out? This tekSPACY is solely for women and run by women. In addition, it’s connected to big manufacturing facilities such as Advanced Manufacturing Workshop at King Abdulaziz for Science and Technology. It’s also connected to a small innovative manufacturing company with larger machines where we can have products manufactured on larger scale. All is Saudi initiated, owned and managed. And we are already in discussions with large equipment suppliers like SIEMENS for next generation design and manufacturing technology. Such collaborations allow women to realize the most complicated designs. Web: tekspacy.com

What skill level should women who want to join in the workshop have? They really only need to have passion to do something themselves, and a willingness to learn. Even if they only have an idea, other women design for them, and someone else manufactures. The fun is really in seeing how an idea can take shape.

COOKING TO COMICS The jump from being an engineer to a completely different career. By Areeb Al Shathri

Abdulkareem Alalami was a dedicated aerospace engineer. After graduating with a BS in Aerospace engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals and gaining a masters in Aerospace Designing from the University of Liverpool, Alalami worked for the Saudi military for seven years. After losing his job in 2014, he vowed to only work on passion projects from this point on, and two of his passion projects have landed him quite a bit of attention. “I like food, and I like comic books and arts, basically.” 20 DESTINATION RIYADH FEBRUARY 2017

THE LAMB SHACK The Lamb Shack is a unique concept that combines what is essential American Southern comfort food with a Saudi flavor, lamb. The slow cooked (7 hours) pulled lamb, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are a winning combination in our book. So how did this passion come to fruition? After, what shall be known from this point forward as, the “the vow”, Alalami was approached by his now partner Abdulrahman Al Athil with

Abdulkareem Alalami

the idea to start a restaurant. Suffering from FOMO while watching people eat Sothern American comfort food but unable to participate because most of the dishes were pork, they decided to substitute pulled pork for pulled lamb, and thus the Lamb Shack story began. Today, like a proud papa, Alalami spends most of his evenings either in the kitchen or greeting customers outside The Lamb Shack with a smile and a cigar… Scratch the proud papa part and replace it with “Egyptian m’allim (boss)” and we’ve got ourselves a more fitting simile.

KHAYAL STUDIOS

Abdulrahman Al Athil

At around the same time he was approached by Al Athil, Alalami was looking for something to keep him busy. As a comic book fanatic, he began to create them for his own amusement. He was then introduced to Instagram and began posting his work on it.

I started putting photos up for the sake of just putting cool stuff on the Internet... Everybody wants to do that. Everybody wants to put cool stuff on the Internet. — Abdulkareem Alalami

Soon enough, people began to approach him to create their comics. “Khayal Comics created itself. There was no visibility no study, nothing. A passion project that took on a life of its own.” After gaining momentum, Alalami then bought two art studios to keep up with the demand. A total of 18 artists working full time in Indonesia and Malaysia doing commissioned work, comics, concept art and manga.“I think it’s because I have an engineering background so everything with me is systematic. And when I saw the economic viability of it I expanded it.” khayalstudios / thelambshack

The Italian Job I love a good heist movie and this remake is one of my favorites. The movie has an Ocean’s Eleven feel AND features Edward Norton… That’s a wining combination in my book.

This quirky crime is interesting, wacky and confusing in the best way. The visually stunning show centers around a loosely Sherlockian like character who’s a few almonds away from being a nutcase. A brainchild of Douglas Adam, the author of “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” the show’s quirkiness is its biggest advantage or its drawback, depending on where your spectator preference stands.

A MASTER OF THE ARTS Calligrapher Fahad Al Majhadi. By Johara Almogbel

Talk to us a little about yourself. My name is Fahad Saleh Al Majhadi, born in Riyadh in 1982, first Saudi to receive an ‘ijaza’ (an official license of arts) from the Head of Saudi Calligraphers Nasser Al Maymoon, an ijaza from Mumtaz Durdu, a calligraphy instructor in the Research Center for Islamic History, Art, and Culture (IRCICA), an ijaza from Sheikh Hassan Jalbi, the master calligrapher of Turkey. I’m also the first Saudi to receive a certificate from IRCICA, a tradition dating back to the Ottomans. I grew up in Riyadh, and I love routine. Coffee is another passion and I dedicate ample time for it every day.

There are different schools of calligraphy as well as the calligraphers themselves, for example the strongest/best school is the Turkish school, followed by the Baghdadi school and the others. By popular vote, the great 34 DESTINATION RIYADH FEBRUARY 2017

Do calligraphers have levels?

Sami Afandi is the best calligraphy in the history of the art, followed by his pupil Mohammed Nadhif Beh, then Mustafa Halim Ozyaghi Efendi. Mohammed Shawqi Efendi is considered the best calligrapher to specialize in naskh.

What is the most difficult aspect of learning calligraphy? In my personal experience, it’s when the calligrapher reaches a stage where his vision does not match his ability, which leaves him frustrated because he can see what he can’t write. But alhamdullilah, my faith in myself and my severe

perseverance helped me overcome this stage.

Are there particular tools you have to use, and does the quality of said tools make a difference? Yes, the tools have a large role, especially when producing paintings. The right paper, as well as good quality ink must be taken into consideration. The best tools are the natural ones, for example ink made of natural resources and by masters of the trade. For the pen, different types of wood are used in accordance to the calligraphy type, the jawi pen is for naskh calligraphy while Turkish or Iranian pens suit thuluth calligraphy.

Who is your role model? My role model in the field is the titan Othmani Sami Efendi. After Allah’s blessing, my admiration and emulation of him is what helped me reach the stage I am in now, to the point where my fellow calligraphers have titled me Sami of Riyadh.

Do you think the art of Arabic calligraphy has been somewhat neglected these days? The art of Arabic calligraphy is a venerable one, with many secrets, and it has seen large neglect here due to the lack of cultural artistic awareness in our society. However currently, and after expending a lot of effort by me and my colleagues, there has been a reawakening of the art and interest in it by some officials, which came about after they saw the high level of artistry that the Saudi calligraphers possess and the respect they wield internationally at this time. Mashail Faqeeh

Known for her spectacular embroidery, all her followers were excited when she announced her new website. Faqeeh launched her sparkly website in June 2016 after quitting her job to pursue her own passion and work on her brand. Shortly after quitting, she started acquiring the skills to build her website on her own and sell handmade pieces that she sewed.

Mashail Faqeeh 36 DESTINATION RIYADH FEBRUARY 2017

Not long before that, Faqeeh published a book called “Stitched” in March 2016, featuring a collection of short poems she wrote throughout her life. The book’s intent is to make people feel better. While juggling through that she was part of many galleries and collaborations including Tamashee, Nasiba Hafiz and Qoutna.

Fahad Al Siddiqi

Art is no stranger to Al Siddiqi. He’s been a painter since childhood, a pianist, a digital art enthusiast, and most recently a special effects makeup artist. At only 18 years old, he attracted a lot of attention with his unique art skills in practicing SFX and showcasing it in a unique way.

In 2013, he wanted to get over his fear of gore to be able to join the medical field, and instead of getting rid of his fear he got inspired to create it. Despite his struggle with the price, quality and availability of the tools needed to produce SFX, he managed to shine

His latest project created captivating temporary tattoos that give the same effect as a freshly made one, providing pain and guilt free tattoos. Al Siddiqi does not stop here yet, he has his eyes set to join the movie industry and enhancing his SFX skills even more.

Ali NAME: Sahrish S. AGE: 28 ogrammer OCCUPATION: Pr / Pun Queen ric MEDIUM: Geomet carving, um ps drawings, gy but paper folding, etc., mostly pens.

By Johara Almogbel

As a child whenever I would get antsy and restless during lessons, an adult would give me a piece of paper to fold, draw or play with. Occasionally I would go to my dad’s office on the weekends. He used to let me use a very old desktop computer with Windows 95 and a modem that made old timey noises. There I would spend hours sketching characters and doodling using MS Paint. Drawing and playing with paper has always been a part of me. 38 DESTINATION RIYADH FEBRUARY 2017

What got you started?

Why do you art? Communicating what I see and feel about the world around me has always been a challenge. I want to be able to communicate through creating. To bring an idea into focus and give it life so it serves a purpose by just existing in the world.

Is your work the result of sudden inspiration, or long term planning? How do you think up your concepts? Waiting for inspiration is like starving yourself. I do geometric patterns as a form of daily meditation and the origami just kicks in when I am thinking of other stuff. However, some projects are planned ahead. Sometimes inspiration just finds you when you are working and having fun while at it.

What is, in your opinion, the best thing you’ve ever created and why? Once I made this Rest in Peace piece, where I had these journals that I had filled out over the course of a year. Writings included my daily reflections and personal thoughts from times that were difficult and the only thing I could do was to keep writing. I took the pages of those

journals and folded them into origami peace doves that were then arranged in the form of a whirlwind. It symbolized coming to peace with my thoughts and the past. I gave them all away. People would come and pluck a piece and take the ones they thought were most relatable to them. It was comforting to see how much people related to the piece and I wasn’t alone.

What do you think of the art scene in Saudi? Anything you’d like to see changed? I would definitely love more public activities where you bring communities together to form one art concept or piece. There’s art education awareness on the rise now and I think nurturing visual thinking within the school systems would help.

WHO ARE YOUR ROLE MODELS? Ai Weiwei, Chinese contemporary artist and activist, and Neil Gaiman, English author.

daughter to make her a wedding dress, but she’s also pressured by the community not to make it because of local tradition. Film producer Mohamed Salman and leading actress Sally Zack opened up about their inspirations and experience making the film.

What did you learn from the character? How would you describe Maryam’s character? Maryam’s favorite color is red. The vibrant shade signifies a great deal about her character. She represents a person who cares about love; she wants to make peace with her mother.

You were born and raised in Saudi Arabia, but your background is Jordanian how difficult was it to play a Saudi girl?

only non-Saudi. Hence, I had to learn the accent in order to assimilate and get myself through. I consider myself a Saudi because this country has become my home.

Since I was born in Saudi Arabia, a part of me is Saudi. It was not difficult to play the role at all. Even my accent is Saudi. When I was in middle school, I was the

Whenever I visit Jordan, I feel like a foreigner. In my opinion, home is not the country of my origin rather it is the country that has embraced me as one of its native born.

The mother and daughter bond is special. Often, Maryam addresses her mother by the first name, exposing more than just a mother and daughter relationship. It highlights the close friendship they have crafted and fostered. I really miss Maryam. She characteristically typifies a naïve Saudi girl who has been sheltered from the outside world. The boundary of her social world ends at the edge of her mother and her fiancé’s perimeter. The film uses the characters to reveal the simplicity and naivety of life within an insular community.

MOHAMED SALMAN

What inspired you to produce this film?

How difficult is it to make movies in Saudi Arabia?

The writer, Zainab Alnaser’s script inspired me profoundly. This is the second film I have collaborated with her. She is a talented and an award-wining writer. Zainab skillfully applied her unique writing skills to transform a dramatic story into a fantasy. She created a space that afforded me artistic freedom. I capitalized and navigated the plot quite liberally and creatively. It was a pleasure working with her.

Producing movies in Saudi Arabia is not difficult at all. The Saudi government is actually very supportive. Just as in any country, it simply requires a filmmaker to obtain a filming permit.

Meet the man representing Saudi on the racetracks. By Tala Hussein

What were some difficulties you faced representing your country in the GT3 series? I’m very proud to be representing my country in a racing series like the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East as it is a huge moment and step up for me. I’ve never raced in a professional series like this before. With that being said, one of the biggest challenges for me is learning the tracks as each circuit is completely new to me.

A SPEEDY CONVERSATION WITH MOHAMMED AL SAUD

What is your goal as a Saudi racer? My goal is to grow my racing career to reach the epitome of racing regionally and around the world. Being a part of this year’s Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East, it allows me to benefit from this series’ ability to develop racing talent in thrilling competition.

Who is your favorite childhood race car driver? Maybe someone who inspired you to become one? As a child, I used to always watch Michael Schumacher and admire his driving skills – he would definitely be my all-time favorite driver!

What is your most memorable moment as a driver? My most memorable moment as a race car driver would definitely be when I first entered my car for my first competitive race ever. It was a feeling that I can never forget and put into words – a combination of being nervous, not knowing what to expect along with the strongest rush of adrenaline through my blood.

What is your favorite car model? As a racer and a regular driver? My favorite racing car would be the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. However, as a regular driver, I have to say it’s a McLaren SLR 722.

Where do you see the racing culture going in this region? While the racing culture in the region is improving with a stronger and wider racing community, I do think that we need to create more hype on motorsport and the value behind it. This kind of sport requires support from sponsors and governments for it to become more attractive and open to the talent we have which is something I absolutely advocate for.

What would you tell aspiring racers? To start early and be open to learning as much as possible – never a failure but always a lesson, is the mentality you need. It can be hard and challenging but you always have to push hard to get the results you want. Web: gt3me.com

12 Cups started by two young Saudi entrepreneurs Ghassan Alhazzaa and Bader Aljalajel, who studied abroad and came back to Saudi and found a need in the market for high quality variety of coffee beans.

decided to brew our coffee, but the question was where to get our caffeine from. We started importing our coffee from the same source of one café in Portland we both liked. Our friends, family and colleagues starting asking us to share our coffee with them, and eventually asked if we can include them in our orders. Little by little we realized we started to import in large quantities. That’s where the idea of starting 12 cups came from.

What is your secret to the perfect cup of coffee? I wish there was a simple secret. There is a long selective process that most people are not aware of. From selecting the best soil for farming then harvest and ripening. Also the method of transportation all the way to roasting profile and the form of preparation.

What kind of brewing methods do you prefer? I like the simplicity and fun of the pour-over method. Plus, it produces a cleaner cup, meaning it would be residual-free.

Are there any unique drinks on your menu that stand out? Shakerato during summer.

Where do you import your coffee beans from? Indonesia, Africa, Central America and Hawaii.

How is the recent rise in coffee prices going to affect business? I think it has a positive effect in general. If someone is going to pay an extra for a cup of a coffee, he will be expecting a quality that lives up to that price. Subsequently coffeestartups would thrive since their selling point is not the availability, it is the quality of the product.

One thing you’d add to your café if you had infinite funds. I would like to raise the coffeeawareness-culture. POPCORN Ok, hear us out on this. Have you ever wondered why popcorn is mainly associated with movies? Theaters serve this snack because it helps you concentrate and ensure your eyes stay on the screen. Also, it’s pretty hard to talk in a theater with a mouth full of popcorn.

If you need a dose of caffeine to trigger your imagination, switch out coffee for this healthier alternative. The caffeine in green tea will keep your mind sharp without the inevitable crash that comes with coffee or energy drinks.

WALNUTS

CHOCOLATE Not as if any of us needed another excuse to eat chocolate, it turns out it can help your creativity. A University of Nottingham study showed that there is a correlation between chocolate consumption and enhanced brain function. Chocolate has been observed to enhance the amount of oxygen which flows to the brain.

This snack is an office favorite. A roasted bag of these is not only delicious, but also good for improving memory and general brain function, according to a study. Though the study was conducted on rats because our brains are oddly similar, we’re hard-pressed to find someone with an unkind word to say about this nut.

WATER! OATMEAL Generally, foods rich with carbs load your body with glucose which helps your brain function better. And since oatmeal is one of the healthiest kinds of cards, grab yourself a bowl and let the nutritious fun begin.

Quite a bit of your brain activity depends on this. If you’re even slightly dehydrated, it impairs its abilities. We hate to get all parent-y on you, but you really should drink more water.Your daily priority should be: to breathe and drink more water!

AN ITINERARY FOR YOUR TRIP TO

CHINA

A guide to one of the world’s oldest civilizations.

Visiting China was one of the most exhilarating experiences in my life. From imperial architectural wonders to breathtaking mountains, surreal beaches to glittering metropolitans, there’s a bit of everything bundled in this beautiful country.

The history of Shanghai spans over a thousand years and closely parallels the development of modern China. Originally a small agricultural village, Shanghai developed during the late Qing dynasty (1644–1912) as one of China’s principal trading ports. Known as ‘the Paris of the East,’ Shanghai

is a great blend of old and new. The city’s heart is the Bund, a renowned waterfront boardwalk along the Huangpu River, lined with colonial-era buildings nestled between modern sky scrapers. The Huangpu River divides the city into two parts; Puxi and Pudong. Puxi is the oldest side of the city, its former financial and festive district. Pudong is Shanghai’s modern financial

A walk along the Bund is a must during late afternoon followed by a boat cruise at night to witness the dazzling skyline, showcasing distinct contrast between modern life and the past. If you only have time to visit one museum, my top pick is Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, which shows how far the city has come over the past two decades and the urban plan for the future. Shanghai Museum is also worth visiting to see ancient Chinese artifacts. It has more than 120,000 precious historical relics. Whether you’re into antiques or high-end brands, Shanghai is paradise for the shopaholics. One can lose track of time navigating the labyrinth of malls and markets in search of finding something unique. The antique market is a street full of road side sellers offering traditional Chinese pieces that will compel you to acquire at least one, if not more.

A FOREST in Jeddah Defying the desert. By Mohammed Mirza

78 DESTINATION RIYADH FEBRUARY 2017

Around five years ago I remember visiting the area when it was a dumping ground for the city’s sewage and was called Musk Lake for reasons that I can’t comprehend. I did find it pretty lush though back then, with various types of

desert plants growing around the rim of the lake. Fast-forward to today, and large portions of the forest are fenced, the lake has been filled up and tall coniferous trees have replaced small shrubs

EXPLORE KSA

that once grew here. All in all, over 80,000 plants thrive in this man-made forest, which is now called Eastern Forest (Ghaib Sharqiya). When visiting for the first time, I didn’t know what to expect, as there isn’t much evidence of the forest online. The photos that do exist don’t do it justice. After taking the Briman exit from the highway, we proceeded eastwards, going past car scrapyards, farmlands and tents on our journey on the highway that runs from Jeddah – Jummum. The highway even serves

DESTINATIONKSA.COM 79

as an alternative though longer route to Makkah from Jeddah. It took around 20 minutes from Briman to the forest. The entrance is such that one might expect it to be a gargantuan sized farmhouse of an affluent businessman, with security guards and barricades, making it potentially off-putting for tourists. The signboard of the forest is too small, so you have to reach the security gate before you can read it. The guard lifted the boom barrier, revealing a lush forest like I haven’t ever seen in or around Jeddah before. The trees, however, seemed to have lacked luster almost as if the vibrant green has been dried by the desert sun. The sight of the forest, with many plants I’ve never seen in Saudi Arabia before, made me forget for a moment where 80 DESTINATION RIYADH FEBRUARY 2017

I was. Some tall, some short, some blooming, some not, it felt like a nature reserve without the animals. Every few meters or so, an opening in the road allowed for parking spaces. Whatever handful of families that were in the forest had parked their cars there and went deep into the forest to set camp. We could hear birds chirp but couldn’t see them.

Colorful butterflies were flying around, passing from one tree to the next. I would have loved to see flowers as well, but hardly any flowery plants have been planted. Perhaps the place achieves a more ‘foresty’ look without them. After passing through empty roads and roaming for miles around the forest, we saw an observatory tower on a plateau.

From the observatory tower, we saw the entire landscape of the forest. We could see various groups of trees planted together, ground cleared at a distance for new plantations and the road snaking its way around the forest. It looks natural, as if a road was paved through a real forest, not as if the trees were planted around the road.

The toughest part of your visit? Trying to convince others that there’s actually a forest in Jeddah – I know I am still struggling to make people believe this.

There are solar powered lights along the winding road, although I’m not sure of the reason, as the forest remains closed in the night. Sticking true to its environment-friendly aspect the forest is irrigated through recycled sewage. The sewage is recycled nearby by the National Water Company. There aren’t many facilities on site, other than a charming little mosque with beautiful gardens and a few toilets at the entrance. Whatever you need for a day in the forest – including water and snacks – must be brought with you, as the nearest baqala is miles away.

Taken as a whole, Jeddah’s Eastern Forest is ideal for a picnic, a non-barbeque one that is. The scenery provides lots of Instagram and Snapchat worthy photos and videos. The whole place spans over an area of 2.7 million square meters. The entire area

isn’t covered in forest, but is it expanding, with many places cordoned off due to construction work. COORDINATES 21.647537, 39.386706 VISITING HOURS: Thursdays and weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the forest is accessible only for families. Entry is free of charge.

TABUK A HISTORICAL SAGA Of mysteries, chronicles and bygone times. By Mohammed Mirza

Almost 1,000 years after its founding, the town became part of the state of Al Ayaneyean and then flourished. The city is also speculated to be part of the Nabatean Kingdom, which is famous for its construction at Madain Saleh and Petra. However, the town dwelled into obscurity and not much was written about it for the centuries that followed right from the turn of the millennium until Islam dawned in Arabia. The Battle of Tabuk, which is actually a misnomer as no battle actually took place,

82 DESTINATION RIYADH FEBRUARY 2017

was more of an expedition that managed to display the strength of the Muslim forces to the Byzantine vassals. The expedition was successful for the Muslims and Tabuk again became well-known and was integrated in the growing Muslim Empire. A mosque where Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) prayed during the expedition still exists in Tabuk to this very day.

For the years that followed, many pilgrims passed through the city of Tabuk, which was now seen as a gateway to and from Northern Arabia. The flow of pilgrims intensified with the arrival of the Hijaz Railway and the city became an important stop on the railway line. Many historic structures left behind by the Ottomans mark some of the most visited touristic sites in the city.

PHOTO/ABU FAHAD AL OTAIBI • TOUFIC SALEM

As strange as it may sound, the city of Tabuk was originally called Taboo. At that time, it was a small oasis town with a history dating back to 1500 BC. Many pre-Islamic poets make mention of a famous mountain in Tabuk called Hasmi in their poetry.
