The summit was effectively designed to promote thought provoking keynote sessions, powerful presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops in order to successfully address Business Opportunities & Challenges for Technology Partners. The summit provided a great opportunity for all the participants to gain more impactful insights into the consolidation of channel business. The publication also released report of DT IT Channel Survey 2018 which gave an insight of partner’s current challenges. The panelists also discussed the findings of this survey and suggested key move to tackle such issues. The key takeaway was traditional channel business is here to stay forever. We need to change our mindset and should work with a positive mindset to keep growing in any situations. Tech businesses need to focus on new avenues which can add value to their business goal. To start with, digital India ensured that technology is made available to citizens, enabling India to be digitally empowered in the field of technology. Let’s understand this more – With demonetization, adoption of digital currency brought a new facet among the overall IT Industry especially the smartphone market in India. With the rise in digital currency/online payments there was a trigger on aggressive 4G rollout to support the new demand. The smartphone market has shown 100percent growth YOY, each year defining a new pathway and new trends. Along with this, the year also saw the Ecommerce boom which kept the users further hooked to internet connectivity and their smartphones. The smartphone became multifaceted; no longer only for mere calls but online shopping, give orders, make transactions and others. Even the Regular bank related transactions have now gone digital. A recent study suggests almost 60percent of the customers use mobile devices in 2017 to check their account balances, view recent transactions, pay bills or transfer funds. Kaspersky Lab Opens New Office in Mumbai to Boost Presence Across South Asia Kaspersky recently established its new office in Mumbai as a strategy to boost its presence across the subcontinent. The expansion of its presence reflects how Kaspersky is working to capture a large market share.

To support the expansion of its business in India, Kaspersky Lab announces the opening of a newly relocated office in Mumbai, India for the South Asia region. There are currently 37 Kaspersky Lab offices in 32 countries around the world. The Mumbai office, will provide more office space for the growing global cybersecurity company as well as closer proximity to the partners it collaborates with frequently. The new office will provide greater space for Kaspersky Lab India’s newest team players who have recently joined the Kaspersky Lab to outline the growth for the company moving forward. According to new research from global data and storage leader Seagate Technology, 96 percent of senior IT professionals believe AI applications will drive productivity and business performance. However, an almost equal number of respondents (95%) believe further investments in their IT infrastructure are required to enable them to support their use of AI. The Seagate research, “Data Pulse: Maximising the Potential of AI”, explores the varying readiness levels of AI adoption and implementation by business segments across key markets in Asia Pacific (APAC) as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by organisations when looking to incorporate AI applications. The study identified 89 percent of organisations plan to implement AI technologies in the next 12 months, in areas within the organisation including IT, supply chain logistics, product innovation and R&D, as well as finance and customer support. However, two-thirds of respondents indicated they struggled to know where to start.

SOPHOS SURVEY QUICK HEAL APPOINTS SHOWS INDIAN MR. NITIN KULKARNI AS BUSINESSES CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICERT ARE AT RISK DUE TO UNIDENTIFIED NETWORK TRAFFIC Sophos announced the India findings of its survey, The Dirty Secrets of Network Firewalls, which revealed that majority of Indian IT managers have legal liabilities when it comes to unidentified traffic in their organizations. In fact, nearly one-in-four globally cannot identify 70 percent of their network traffic. The lack of visibility creates significant security challenges for today’s businesses and impacts effective network management.
