“Current Status of Cloud Adoption & Prime Concerns” with Cloud Services Shows ‘Building Trust in a Cloud Sky’ The world is seeing the dynamic growth in the usage of latest gadgets and devices. Every information is available on internet and it is available to everyone. Everybody is aware of its use and they daily store their confidential data on the internet accounts or on their devices. Many IT operations executed daily and cybercriminals affect these operations. So it is very important that their data should be secure because lots of cybercriminals are there to steal their highly confidential data.Big enterprises are very concerned about this issue because they have a fear of losing control over their important data. But the technology is evolving at a huge scale and now we have cloud computing. It can play significant role over our fear of data security. Although people are not very aware of this and still the adoption of Cloud services is very far from people’s approach. The most commondifficulty in the adoption of Cloud security is the lack of information about this technology. Itel has released a report on the ‘status of cloud adoption and its concerns’ that will signify the situation perfectly.

As a Country Partner for Bitdefender in India, we would like to see Bitdefender among top5 players both in consumer and enterprise segments, and we believe this target is quite achievable. As we are committed to further extend and boost our channel network and increase Bitdefender’s presence in the country. Able to maintain good practices and policies, but has also a very innovative approach to sales and great understanding of the product. Having such a strong partner will definitely help to move Bitdefender’s revolutionary security products in the Indian market. Q - What is the biggest challenge for your business currently?

While India’s IT security industry is slowly maturing, the country still needs better, higher computer literacy rates to cope up with the kind of development its economy is growing through. As India is turning digital, it needs to adopt IT security practices faster, especially at the consumer level. For this, the government,

businesses,

non–government

organizations should work more on providing free IT education to people, in the rural areas particularly.

Protocol stacks. It is for this reason that devices called Internet Gateways have been created that connect to non IP devices and networks on one side and the Internet driven applications, devices and networks, on the other side. By doing so, Internet Gateways need to be tailored for the type of local networks and local applications that they manage on one side and how they connect to the Internet on the other side.

Industry consultants who have gone through such projects point out, IoT application and network designs need to be built looking at requirements five years from now. When in doubt the rule of thumb is design networks for a requirement that is 10X the number of devices that are connecting in now. Looking ahead into the requirements for IoT type of networks there is a significant change in the way devices will communicate. More often than not, communication signals will hop from device to device, to enter and leave the network of devices, connecting into and out of their mesh network.

Utilizing a number of hops between devices rather than the conventional hub to spoke jump will become the standard for most IoT applications and networks. The key here is multiple and random paths between IoT devices, based on predefined algorithms, rather than a fixed point to point hop. This saves power, saves cost, builds scale, and builds redundancy. These

networks and the devices are called wireless nodes. Since connectivity within mesh networks rely on each other, their efficiency grows with an increase in the number of devices. Mesh networks become more efficient as the number of wireless nodes inside them increases. This is the opposite of what happens with the hub and spoke, star network arrangement. As silicon technologies enhance the computing capabilities of IoT sensors, devices, machines and appliances, they will increasingly become more Internet compatible. At that stage the two worlds will come together in exponential fashion and the true power of IoT will become a reality.

national B2C distributor VR Infotech to conduct a ‘Mystery Shopper’ exercise to get a step closer to all its retailers. It’s an unprecedented move in the largely textbook marketing techniques that the cyber security companies in India follow. Mystery shopper is a popular tool to gauge the quality of service a customer receives when purchasing a brand’s products. Mr. Gaurav Punekar, a marketing executive at Kaspersky Lab, was the mystery shopper. Delhi’s popular IT markets, such as Nehru Place, District Centre Janakpuri and Lakshmi Nagar Market were picked for the exercise. Gaurav walked into shops that sell cyber security products. He posed as a customer who’s looking for advice to buy a cyber security product that’ll meet his requirements. After a detailed discussion, when Gaurav finally revealed his identity, the shop representatives were pleasantly surprised. Mr. Ajay Yadav from VR Infotech soon joined Gaurav and together, Kaspersky and VR Infotech rewarded them on-the-spot with a gift voucher worth INR 1,000 to show their appreciation.

Vertiv, formerly known as Emerson Network Power, announced a lucrative, ‘Bill More Gain More’ program for its Value Added Resellers (VARs) in India. This unique offer applicable to small and micro Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) solutions (up to 20 kVA) has been unveiled to reward channel partners for their continued commitment towards the company. This offer gives channel partners a chance to redeem payback points and avail payout options for all sales made within the quarter ending March 31, 2017. Vertiv’s association with Payback will allow channel partners the chance to claim reimbursements through Vertiv’s national distributors, Ingram Micro and Neoteric. The
