CLASS OF 1973

Dear Event Sponsors,

The 1973 Class of Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio, achieved some remarkable deeds during their senior year. One student was employed as a DJ at the legendary Radio Station WVKO, which was the premier Soul/R&B station in the city. He had the opportunity to work with DJ's like Eddie Saunders, Kirk Bishop, Bill Moss, and Les Brown. Another senior student would call -in on the air with Les Brown and report on the high school news. The Senior Class Officers hosted city-wide dances at the Columbus Bush Armory called, "Back at the Bush," which were announced by the DJ who worked at WVKO.

Students near and far attended these Friday night dances and not one incident occurred during these historical gatherings. All proceeds were used to purchase stage curtains in the school's auditorium & trophy showcases as well as reduce the Senior Class dues. We were bright, creative, and innovative high school seniors who displayed a genuine love for our classmates, community, and high school. We were committed to making a difference in our community and alma mater. Fifty years later, we still have a burning desire to make a difference as we organize another major "gathering" this summer.

We are excited to announce that our 50th High School Reunion will be held in August. The theme is "Jubilee in '23 - A Precious Moment in Time." It will be an elegant evening with dancing, fine dining, fun, and surprises at the classy venue, Mozart's. Our goal is to "WOW" at least 100 guests who will have the pleasure of enjoying the presence of a prominent guest speaker, stellar live entertainment, and door prizes. Tickets may be purchased through the 73lindenpanthers website until August 1, 2023.

To enhance this memorable celebration, we will provide a beautiful keepsake program for each classmate with the support of generous sponsors.
