Greetings Realtist Family and Friends, Thank you for joining us for “The Royal Affair” Installation & Awards Gala! It is a time to celebrate Realtist® excellence in a royal fashion! A Realtist® works tirelessly in pursuit of one mission, to create and increase generational wealth in the black community through home ownership. Tonight, we recognize those who seek recognition only through their service. As we dine, entertain, and fellowship, let us be reminded of what brings us here together and what will keep us connected beyond this evening’s festivities as there is still more work to do! Do not let this year end without making a new Realtist® connection. Instead, let it be the beginning of new partnerships and ideas to increase equity in real estate on all levels for 2022.As we reflect on the past, let’s enjoy today and plan for a more equitable future. KEYNOTE SPEAKER

A

ngela Cornelius Dawson currently serves as the Executive Director of the Ohio Commission on Minority Health. The Commission on Minority Health was created to address the disparity in health status between majority and minority populations. The Commission funds projects which are innovative, culturally sensitive and specific in their approach toward reduction of the incidence and severity of those diseases or conditions which are responsible for excess morbidity and mortality in minority populations. The Ohio Commission on Minority Health was the nation’s first state office of minority health in response to the disparity in health status between Ohio’s minority and non- minority populations. Today, the national minority health network includes the Office of Minority Health, U.S. Public Health Service and over 40 state offices of minority health. Prior to this selection, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland appointed Angela Cornelius Dawson as the director of the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services

(ODADAS) March 2007. She served as the first African American director from March of 2007 – January 2011. As director, Dawson was responsible for planning, initiating and coordinating an extensive statewide system of services designed to prevent substance abuse and treat Ohio's addicted populations as well as oversight of over 100 staff and a $193 million budget. Prior to her appointment to ODADAS, Dawson served as the executive director of Project Linden, Inc., a private non-profit outpatient alcohol and other drug treatment and prevention services center in Franklin County for twenty years. Dawson received her bachelor's degree in rehabilitation education, a master's degree in counseling and guidance and second master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from Wright State University. Dawson serves her community through her commitment to mentoring young women and through her service at the First Church of God where she along with her husband and son are active within the ministry. 

ryan Heyward is a native of Dayton, Ohio who graduated from Carroll High School in 1995. Upon completion of high school, he received a football scholarship to Western Kentucky University where he played for legendary Head Coach Jack Harbaugh (father of Jim and John Harbaugh, head coaches in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens). While at Western Kentucky University, Bryan was a four-year starter, team captain, and All-American Award recipient. Bryan graduated From WKU in the spring of 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration.

In 2006, Bryan opened an American Family Insurance agency, as a scratch agent (zero policies and zero clients). He quickly became one of the country’s best agents for American Family with over 2500 clients and 2 million dollars of written insurance premiums. After accomplishing everything he could as an American Family agent, Bryan decided to cancel his franchise agreement with American Family and go into business for himself in January of 2013, forming the Heyward Group, LLC Insurance Company. The Heyward Group is an independent insurance brokerage agency that has access to over 50 insurance companies. This allows his clients many options for their insurance needs. 
