TIME WARP with ORANGE AND DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY Pins barred as balloons brandished

These children put a strict ban on pins as they brandished balloons at the Rural School’s infants’ annual fete in November 1958! The fete, with many stalls well stocked with a wide variety of goods for sale, raised £190. A highlight of the day was a display of handicrafts and paintings of the children’s work on display in the assembly hall.
