写这篇卷首的时候，我正身处奥地利，每次出门，跟不同地方的 人交流时，提到澳门，大家总是一副惊讶表情，它就如一个突然在全 球走红的小乡镇一样，一夜暴富，不单单会发生在人身上，也会在城 市里发生。在很多从未来过又或者在十几年前来过澳门的人心中，这 个小地方要不就是紫醉金迷，要不就是恬静浪漫。可是今日的澳门早 已经换了一副面孔，就像澳门金沙十周年庆时老板说的那样，澳门的 野心，绝对不是大家十年前想象的那么简单，港珠澳大桥的落成，以 及传闻中即将进驻的号称全球最奢华酒店，这一切都在预示这小城会 再一次发生翻天覆地的转变。 在转变中，一定有无法避免的好和不好继续发生，既然我们不能抗 拒，不妨想着法子，把一切从好的保留下来，用文字，用图片。这也 是你即将翻开的这本小城唯一的城市指南另一个有趣的使命。本期杂 志，我们就为你保留了关于旧茶楼的珍贵记忆，连周润发也激赞的龙 华茶楼，保留着连喝惯粤式早茶的广东游客也无法置信的自助式点心 服务，拿多少点心全靠自己，结帐时凭的是你个人诚信！在这个缺乏 信任的社会里，找遍整个中国，也难发现这么一种街坊情谊了。而另 一家大龙凤酒楼，虽然顾客多是长者，可这里是唯一保留了现场粤剧 演唱的茶楼，乐队的成员看到有年轻人对古乐器有兴趣，全都会饶有 兴趣地跟你说起那些不曾听闻的乐器传说。在五星级豪华酒店林立的 今日，尤幸澳门还有这么一些行走的活化石，即使它可能因为时代狂 潮而渐渐被掩埋，那些留下来的光芒仍然会深印在我们的心中。 除了旧茶楼，这期还有精彩的节目专为放暑假的孩子准备，除一系列 精彩的暑期文化表演节目适合大人小孩一家参与外，我们还给你介绍 了澳门四季酒店的亲子设施。我们本期的主题是夏日乐悠游，如果你 计划在澳门，又或者中转澳门到各大东南亚海岛度假，绝对不要错过 我们给你带来的最新推荐。

las, this note is written in Austria. Whenever I mention “Macau” during a trip, people are quite surprised. In the impression of many who became acquainted with Macau decade(s) ago, the tiny oriental city is of either luxury and extravagance or tranquillity and romance. But the Macau today is a reborn, as Sands Macao’s owner, at the property’s decennial celebration, expressed that Macau’s ambition is far more comparable that the impression 10 years ago. There is a greater change undergoing here by the future completion of the Hong Kong-ZhuhaiMacau Bridge, and the rumoured world’s most luxurious hotel.

In the course of a transformation, various deeds, good or bad, happen.

If that is realistically inevitable, why don’t we preserve all the good ones, utilising texts and images? This is yet another interesting mission of this little guidebook, one of a kind in the city, that you’re about the flip open. In this issue, we inscribed for you the precious memory from Cantonese teahouse, presenting the Chow Yun-fat-praised Long Wah, where dim sums are served and bill reported by yourselves: it is all about integrity. In a society lacking this, there’s nowhere else such neighbourhood attachment can be found. Tai Long Fong, on the other hand, is known by the only live performance of traditional Cantonese opera in town. As these vintage restaurants are struggling to survive in the skyscraper safari, it is definitely our honour to live with them, whether or not their brightness will dim.

Also in this issue are activities for kids during the blessed summer holidays.

Apart from cultural entertainment great for the family, we also highlighted children’s facilities at Four Seasons. “Summer Escape” is this issue’s core, so it is a reader-in-hand if you already planned your trip to or through Macau.

信到港澳旅游的朋友 都发现两地的公共交通费用差 距不小，随便在香港搭趟巴士 都要五六元，但在澳门则是便 宜至两元，那全因澳门有一个 政府包底的低票价制度。政府 会向巴士公司提供财政援助， 财政援助按现行以每公里服务 费减去巴士公司取得的票收计 算，因此只要你持有一张“澳 门通”，澳门坐车到路环都不 用花上五元，而且巴士公司早 就按照政府安排各自路线，公 平经营。然而在政府如此贴心 的保护之下，其中一间巴士公 司“维澳莲运”竟于去年“十 一”后宣佈破产， 后由政府紧 急接手。在大半年过去后的今 天，“维澳莲运”终于不再是 无主公司，因为已由最大股东 是“澳巴”的“新时代”公司 以1.9亿购得，并且于7月1日 开始营运。至此，澳门的巴士 服务又进入了一个新时代，由 旧有的新福利、澳巴以及全新 的大股东是“澳巴”的“新时 代”提供。

点解 dim gaai Meaning : Why

here is a noticeable gap between transport costs in Macau (lowest MOP2) and those in Hong Kong (lowest HKD5). The “Macau advantage” should be attributed to government’s subsidy to the public transport sector, which means with a “Macau Pass” – an electronic payment card – it doesn’t even cost you MOP5 on a bus trip from Macau to Coloane. In spite of this advantageous environment, Reolian Public Transport announced bankruptcy and was temporarily taken over by local authority after last Chinese National Day. Almost half a year later, the company is now acquired by New Era Public Transport, a subsidiary of current operator TCM at a price of MOP190m, and will begin operation from 1 July. At this point, Macau’s public transport has entered a new era, with operations by Transmac, TCM and New Era.

Being part of the 2014 annual conference of International Planetarium Society (IPS), the Festival in Macau will be hosted in the first 8k 3D fulldome theatre, holder of the Guinness Record of world’s highest resolution planetarium. There will be 30 latest 2D and 3D films of interesting topics shown to the public, and they are competing for 12 awards. Both kids and adults will find tons of fun. 海上花 Flor do Mar 《海上花》是由澳门演艺学院舞蹈学校师生共同演出 的原创舞作，由舞校专业舞蹈课程的毕业菁英与老师 共同演出，由现任澳门演艺学院舞蹈学校校长、著名 编舞家高成明领衔创作，汇集澳门及香港的幕后制作 班底，全力打造澳门近年极难得的大型原创舞作，更 是属于严肃、高端的艺术精品，作为献给澳门回归祖 国十五周年的艺术献礼。 Flor do Mar is an original dance performance of collective efforts of both Hong Kong and Macau. It is created by Gao Cheng-ming, famous choreographer and principal of Macao Conservatory’s Dance School, and performed by teachers and students of the School. It is also a performance dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Macau’s Handover.

芝麻高高歌剧团III - Dの杀人事件 Dreamers GoGoIII - Murder Code: D 故事讲述高士德和啤利喇这两位倒霉私家侦探受聘 于“D”前来角村调查人口失踪案，岂料角村繁荣安 定，人民丰衣足食，而且每个人都好客热情。但是， 每个村民的微笑背后却隐藏着一个重大的秘密。由梦 想计划协会主办的《芝麻高高歌剧团》已经是第三年 公演，这个集合了澳门歌手、艺人组合和本地年青新 一代共同演出的大型歌舞剧，以原创音乐加上百老汇 的演出形式，展现纯本地澳门台前幕后力量。 Murder Code: D is the third annual music and dance drama by Dreamers GoGo, a group of committed local singers, artist groups and art lovers incorporated

by Dream Project Association. It tells the story of two unlucky private detectives who were hired by a person named D to find a missing person in a village.

Although witnessing a prosperous and friendly countryside, they sense something dirty behind the smiles of the villagers.

Engiroro Art Exhibition 鞍子路路“纳杂”艺术作品展为14/15年度艺术家驻场 计划，亦为作者首次个人作品展。“鞍展”于年度计 划中为第一章节，内容以“如果可以如果”为主线思 考主题，配以简单可爱的插画，希望观众可轻松地带 着向自己发问、反思及创造如果的心态欣赏作品。 年青艺术工作者陈绮琳Engi正是这只名为ENGIRORO 的可爱小怪物主创，她表示个人非常喜欢这个小怪 兽，现从事展览馆活动与课程策划及美术设计等工 作，同时也是澳门雕塑学会会员。 2012年毕业于澳门理工视觉艺术教育专业，主修 雕塑艺术的Engi从读书时期已经开始创作鞍子路路 （ENGIRORO的译音），她擅长用铁线和钉子等外在 物品加入到雕塑及版画设计中，而这些外物全都是展 现于作品中人物受伤害的部位。除了蓝色小怪物，略 胖可爱小女孩也是作品的主角，而Engi说这是她的自 画像。主打的小女孩雕塑用铁线缠绕制成的头发颇有 “三千烦恼丝”的意味，而另一幅蓝色小怪物则是被 钉子钉住了下体，寓意男生也会偶尔受到侵害，但是 作品中的主角全都拥有一张积极的笑脸。作者表示这 是希望传达正能量和正面讯息，即使有烦恼，最后也 会迎刃而解。 14

Engiroro Art Exhibition is part of the 2014/15 resident artist project and the debut solo exhibition of Engi Chan, who encourages visitors to go deep in the seemingly simple and cute illustrations themed “If There is If”.

Most of the exhibits feature ENGIRORO, Engi’s favourite lovely monster. The artist is a member of the Macau Sculpture Society and works as an art curator.

ENGIRORO was born when Engi was still a student majoring in sculpture arts at Macau Polytechnic Institute, from which she graduated in 2012. She is good at adding iron wires and nails on sculptures and illustrations, mostly to symbolize wounds. There is also an image of a cute and slightly chubby girl, a self-portrait of Engi, whose sculpture has iron wires around the head representing hair. In one illustration, the blue ENGIRORO has a nail at the private part, warning us that boys might be sexually abused too. But every face is smiling by which the artist is sending a message that all troubles would be gone, sooner or later.

第五届足迹小剧场演书节 The 5th Drama Festival of Step Out

“艺术进入社区计划－艺术着陆雀仔园”今年以“土地文化”为主 题。活动启动的第一场讲座，由人称辉哥的雀仔园福德祠值理会黄启 辉副会长主持。主要讲述土地诞及其相关的活动。其中以抢花炮最有 代表性。无奈因为种种原因抢花炮活动早在60年代中已经停办。另 外还有应节的投花灯等，对于这一代人来说变得十分陌生。 展览部分将展出六名本地艺术家展出与本地文化，土地庙或雀仔园社 区有关的不同类型作品。 The“Art in Community Project–Art Lands on the Bird Paradise”strives to foster closer interactions between the participating artists and the community of Horta da Mitra district. This year’s event is focused on “Tou Tei (Earth God) Cult”, with a series of handicraft workshops launched in May for residents and visitors alike to take part. The main exhibition under this Art in Community Project will take place from June 14 to July 9, featuring artworks in various media by six Macao artists, inspired by local culture, the Tou Tei Temple and/or the Horta da Mitra community.

2009年开始，米芝莲的评选进入澳门，令澳 门的美食开始在国际上扬名，获得星级推荐的 餐厅自然成为追寻美食者的目标，然而在人们 记忆中逐渐褪色变黄，深藏旧街暗巷中的广东 旧式茶楼同样值得我们探寻，因为它们与澳门 生息共存半个世纪，代表着澳门的传统饮食文 化。本月让我们以怀旧之名，走进澳门仅存的 三间广东旧式茶楼，品茶赏曲吃怀旧点心。 Although fancy Macau dining has been gaining global fame since Michelin Guide started to cover Macau in 2009, there is a type of traditional style of dining worth remembering: teahouses that have accompanied Macau for more than half a century.

红街市旁边的龙华茶楼，于1962年由何逢创办，当年 这一带并没有茶楼，“龙华”的出现，带来新的饮食 场所。龙华共有三层，供应传统点心、烧味和炒粉麵等 等，全盛时期有五、六十个员工。 龙华茶楼至今已五十二年，数十年的经历，见证澳门的 变化。记得父辈中人，閒时弄雀怡情，“龙华”总是人 声与雀声鼎沸，那是上世纪六十至八十年代的事；九十 年代中后期，禽流感出现之后，“龙华”则变成“鸦雀 无声”。约十多年前，美食家蔡澜和香港著名作家锺伟 民，他们在报纸专栏写了“龙华”，从此令“龙华”变 成了澳门的“旅游景点”。虽然雀友走了，但又有影友

来了，画家来了，他们在此茶聚，甚至将茶楼变成文化 艺术活动的场所，办摄影展、演话剧等 。 “龙华”吸引人之处，在于它的古旧，现只有二楼营 业，铁窗、地砖、吊扇、木卡座等等，都保留了六十年 代茶楼的风貌，牆上挂着的那个“美度表”，由它开业 至今仍运行，细看着茶楼渡过半世纪的岁月。龙华现传 至第二代，由人称德哥的何明德接手。 “水滚茶靓”是广东旧式茶楼常用的形容词，“龙华” 的茶叶比外间的好，所以茶位也略高，在这里是半自助 式的，点心自取，一壶茶几笼点心，确实可以消磨上半 天，如果人数多，一定要点葱油鸡，因为最少半只。此 鸡鲜嫩味美，除了用新鲜鸡之外，炮制得宜也是重要因 素。

Casa de Cha Long Wa The three-floor building (only the second in operation) of Long Wa by the Red Market was founded by Mr. Ho Fong in 1962. It has been serving traditional Cantonese food, and hired more than 50 staff members in its heyday. As the very first of the kind in the area, it drew the attention of other restaurateurs.

A history of 52 years is a record of ups and downs. It used to be a popular social venue for bird keepers from 1960s to 80s, and both birds and keepers no longer hummed nearing the end of 1990s when bird flu had become fierce. After being featured in famed Hong Kong authors’ columns, it was revived by artists – photographers, painters, actors, writers, etc – who turned it into an art incubator, a gallery and even a drama house.

Everything – iron windows, floor tiles, ceiling fans, timber benches – is exactly as they were in the 60s. The MIDO clock on the wall still tells the time after half a century. The house is now run by second-generation Ho Tak-meng (aka Brother Tak), who maintained its attractive oldness.

Long Wa serves tea of better quality, which justifies its relatively high charge. It could be a long and relaxed morning with “semi-buffet” dim sum and a pot of tea. If your group is large enough, try the sumptuous “Chicken in Oil with Spring Onion”.

Lan Heong Kuok, Dim Sum Legend Negotiations between triad gangs in old Chinese restaurants used to be a favourite plot in older Hong Kong films. Lan Heong Kuok is a typical set that makes you think you’re in Leslie Cheung’s films yet, in reality, you’re dining with local oldies.

The founder Mr. Chan Chi (Uncle Chi) is a legend himself.

He, at the age of 10, started his career in F&B during early 1930s as apprentice. Crowned “Dim Sum Maestro”, Uncle Chi retired after 80+ years of work before passing his business on to his children.

Originally East Asia Restaurant, shares were shuffled and house

rebranded in mid-60s as a Cantonese restaurant. It is the only oldie Chinese Restaurant that still sells Dragon Boat Rice Dumplings and Moon Cakes yearly. People chase after their specialties for the reminiscence rather than the somehow non-existing packaging and promotions.

Uniformed staff: none. So where is the experience? Chitchat with the mid-age auntie for her recommendations, but she might become too passionate and bring you too much. Our recommendations are the spongy Fried Glutinous Rice Lotus Leaf Wrap, the crispy Deep-fried Taro Dumplings, and the seasonal Duck Rice in Consommé.

大龙凤，叹茶听曲 港澳粤语中有个名词：“大龙 凤”，意思是大场面。在十月初 五街，就真的有“大龙凤”，说 的是大龙凤茶楼，这茶楼也真的 有慑人的大场面，就是澳门仅存 得现场伴奏粤剧曲艺，而且来者 都是唱功了得之人。 “大龙凤”前身是得来茶楼，曾 是澳门三大茶楼之一，七十年代 中改名大龙凤经营至今。七、八 十年代的十月初五街，两旁有贩 卖各种不同货品的小贩，相当热 闹，附近有码头、新马路有赌 场、国际大酒店的舞厅，这条十 月初五街，有过辉煌的日子，而 那时候的大龙凤，营业时间是凌 晨三点至下午三点。 到九十年代，小贩没了，舞厅也

没了，十月初五街归于平静，“ 大龙凤”第二代接班人陈小姐 则开始了粤剧曲艺茶座，别树一 帜，渐渐吸引粤曲爱好者，也成 为澳门独一无二的现场伴奏粤剧 曲艺茶座。茶座下午三点至七 点，最低消费四十五元，五位乐 师和一位伴唱组成的班底，由国 仇家恨到恩怨情爱的名曲，唱 者、奏乐者，都在忘我之中，连 座上客也融入了。 旧式茶楼各有千秋，“大龙凤” 除了点心、炒粉麵、烧味之外， 更有“私房菜”，只要提早一日 预订，便可尝到霸王鸭、金钱蟹 盒等传统粤菜，中午或晚饭皆 可。大龙凤供应的还有各种碟头 饭、木桶饭、传统焗鱼肠等中 菜，甚至葡式焗鲈鱼，如果每样 叫一碟，可真是“大龙凤”了。

Tai Long Fong Casa de Cha Tai Long Fong (literally Dragons and Phoenixes), meaning astounding scene in Cantonese, is located on Rua do Cinco de Outubro, and is now the only Chinese teahouse that provides a stage for nearly professional Cantonese Opera.

Used to be among top three in Macau, it changed its name from Tak Loi to the current one during 1970s. The neighbourhood was a glamorous entertainment district with vendors of all kinds plus highend casinos and dance floors. At that time, Tai Long Fong would

open from 3:00-15:00.

After the area turned calm in the 90s, Ms. Chan, the second generation of the family business, introduced in-house live performance, attracting opera lovers and gaining its fame soon.

At a minimum charge of MOP45, you will enjoy an excellent show presented by skilled performers from 3 pm to 7 pm.

The food is as amazing as the shows. Dim Sum, Fried Noodles, and Siu Mei, as well as private dinner gourmet (1-day advanced reservation required) Emperor’s Duck and Gold Coins (deep-fried pork dumplings) make you dragons and phoenixes.

国以民为本，民以食为天 “To the ruler, the people are heaven; to the people, food is heaven.” (ancient Chinese proverb) 南非葡萄酒搭配中餐？这个任务听起来好像有些棘手。南非出产各种类型的高品质 葡萄，比如常见的白诗南以及源自南非的特色品种皮诺塔吉（Pinotage）。Walker Bay 区以优雅迷人的黑品乐和霞多丽著称，Swartland 则可以找到法国罗纳河谷风格 的红白葡萄品种（单一品种或混酿）， Stellenbosch 出产顶级品质的赤霞珠、美乐 和西拉，Elgin 和 Elim 区则以清爽的长相思和霞多丽见长，在 Franschhoek 和 Cape Winelands 的大部分地区特产高品质的起泡酒，当然还有世界闻名的 Constantia 甜 酒。 中餐历史渊源几千年，发展出八个特色独具的传统派系，中国老话说的好：生在苏 州，住在杭州，吃在广州，死在柳州。广州地区的美食地位可见一斑，所以这期先 说说和粤菜的搭配。时至今日，粤菜早已走出广州的地界，走向全世界，包括香 港、澳门和全球各大城市的唐人街中。这种菜系以其繁多而精致的口味、口感和类 别而著称，比如琳琅满目的粤式点心，需要搭配至少两种葡萄酒，我通常会为其选 择来自 Walker Bay 和 Elgin 产区的霞多丽和黑品乐。 Matching South African wines with Chinese cuisine can be tricky but the country produces an extraordinary number of different grape varieties such as the popular Chenin Blanc and South Africa original Pinotage. There are the wonderful elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Walker Bay district to the brilliant white and red Rhone single varietal or blends from the Swartland. From Stellenbosch, enjoy top class Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah, with fresh Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from Elgin and Elim area. South Africa sparkling wine is the Methode Cape Classique from Franschhoek and most of the Cape Winelands and not forgetting the famous Constantia wine which was one of the world’s great sweet wines.

The traditional eight known culinary treasures of China are Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Szechuan and Zhejiang cuisines. Each cuisine is distinctive and brings its own unique flavour and style. An old Chinese saying indicates how highly the cuisine of the Guangzhou region is regarded “To be born in Suzhou, to live in Hangzhou, to eat in Guangzhou and to die in Liuzhou”. Cantonese cuisine is found everywhere around the world including Hong Kong, Macau and all Chinatown in most major cities. To find wines to match the many different delicate flavours, textures and variety such as dim sum will require at least two types of wines but I always seem to look for the Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from the Walker Bay and Elgin districts.

Tim Mondavi, son of famous winemaker Robert Mondavi, has recently paid a visit to Macau to celebrate the premiere of his and his family’s masterpiece Continuum.

You may know very clearly that the younger Mondavi was in the industry for long, but not quite with his family. He assisted in winery including Napa Valley’s Opus One and Italy’s Luce, all quite well known for the delicateness.

With all these experience, as well as those of the family, Mr Mondavi has now returned to Napa Valley for a crucial part of the wines. His latest creation is Continuum 2011.

Cguide has spoken to Mr Mondavi about his victorious return and others.

What is your vision upon returning to the family winery?

As you know, our winery has run for four generations, and we’re very experienced in winegrowing and making. Our motto is “one purpose, one estate, one family”, and we do work by that because we have worked hard to make Continuum a world recognised fine wine.

What do you think about your latest masterpiece?

So you’re talking about the 2011 vintage. It has a deep red robe, black highlights and a vibrant violet rim. The primary aromas are rather rich, with black cherry, mulberry, rose petal and Ethiopian coffee, and as the wine breathes, red cherry, chocolate, fig and cardamom is revealed. On the palate, you will feel ripe damson plum, savoury aged beef and allspice.

So it’s good to enjoy now?

It’s always good to enjoy good wines, but for this vintage, you can also age it for 10-15 years more before you enjoy. www.cguidemacau.com | July 2014

Sailing Days The extensive stage for this performance is Vasco, Grand Lapa Macau. The hotel can be described as Macau’s earliest international hotel, and has decades of history.

Vasco, the bar at Grand Lapa, also has a long and remarkable history. The name was that of a Portuguese voyager, Vasco de Gama, who had become the first European to arrive in India.

That goes so well with the hotel itself because the latter’s interior design captures classic Portugal and specifically boasts the Age of Discovery. Once in the hotel, you may have a feeling that you’re actually on the ship to Narnia, then Vasco acts pretty well as the bar on the vessel.

Drinks for Everyone People say, “Not age, but creativity determines youth.” Despite so historical, Vasco has recently taken a step to claim juvenility by remixing Sangria in a Vasco way.

You’ll immediately see the inevitable classic originals of Red, White and Champagne Sangrias on the list, but alas, fun doesn’t just stop here.

On the list there are also Port and Caribou (!?) variations, as well as some blended with fruit liquor, great fun lies in them.

Not quite into alcohol? Vasco has also prepared some Virgin editions of the drinks for the enjoyment of all. We have tried out the Lychee one, and it’s aha, beyond imagination.

在澳门这个没有乐坛的城市里，喜爱音乐的人不是向 外发展，就只有坚守本地的表演场地，一直以来澳门 大众和政府的支持度不足，要坚持做乐团不是件容易 的事，如果笔者说澳门有一队乐团名为Vibration已经 成军接近20年了，你是否觉得难以置信？ Vibration成员包括：主唱兼结他手Ringo、吉他手 John、贝斯手金名、鼓手Machi和键盘手Rico。他们 一直积极参与澳门大大小小的音乐演出，现场演绎的 大多是自己的原创作品，努力为乐队建立一个健康、 正面的形象，希望籍着音乐发声来服务社会，并鼓励 澳门新一代年青人勇于表达，期望用生命影响生命。 集合多年音乐创作，今年Vibration发表了一张原创专 辑《Angel Smile》，这张专辑于2011年筹备，2013 年初开始录音，由于各成员的工作关系，共花费八个 月才完成录音和混音这两个程序，之后便转到台湾进 行母带制作。专辑中共有七首歌曲，分别以广东话、 国语及英语演绎。Vibration期望专辑有助乐队文化活 动的推广，为澳门年青一代带来更多正面的讯息。 更多乐团资讯请看 For more information www.facebook.com/vibrationmacau

In a town without a mature music community, Macau musicians have to pursue their dream outbound, while those remain local have to compete for the limited stages. It was difficult for a band to survive here because there hasn’t been no enough support from the public and the government. But a Macau band named Vibration has been around for 20 years, unbelievable?

The five members of the band are: vocalist and guitarist Ringo, guitarist John, bass guitarist Kam ming, drummer Machi and keyboarder Rico. Being active in the local live performance arena, they featured original, healthy and positive band image, committed to expressing enthusiasm to the larger audience through music, and to encouraging the younger generations to speak out their idea and care about our community. The band just released their first album, Angle Smile, which was planned back in 2011 and recorded in 2013. It took 8 months to complete the recording and mixing work due to the schedule differences of the members. The soundtrack was produced in Taiwan, while the works of design, print and release were in Macau. The album has 7 songs performed in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Vibration hopes the album will be a promotion of local music endeavor, sending a more positive message to younger Macau citizens.

It is quite imperial to start your day at a beach. Hac Sá Beach, located on the southernmost island of Coloane, is one of the two beaches in Macau and boasts high-inmineral dark sand.

Adjacent to the beach is a row of BBQ stalls where you’ll find the most local barbequed “gourmet” including Pork Chop Bun, kebabs, squids, scallops and sometimes even abalones! Occasionally they open early (afternoon is a better time) so a BBQ breakfast is possible.

Coloane Karting Track

Also on Coloane is a Karting Track that Macau takes pride in. With the annual Grand Prix, Macau has long been known as a racers’ cradle where Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna have won trophies.

Even though you may need more training to go on Guia Track, you still have a chance to chase the wind in Macau at the Karting Track. This is an outdoor facility, which is quite rare even globally, and at only MOP180/15 minutes you can examine your driving technique.

The track is 1.2km long and located just on the south of Cotai.

Coloane Village

Downtown Coloane is a holiday hideaway for local and must-visit for tourists, because of the wellpreserved local fishery lifestyle and slow, tranquil daily lives.

The downtown is indeed a roundabout, around which are small eateries like old cafés and new bistros. The area also houses Lord Stow’s Bakery, the inventor lab of Macau’s famous Pastel de nata (Portuguese Egg Tart).

So come here and enjoy a “black water” (local black coffee) or a bica (Portuguese name for espresso) in a relaxed mood.

澳门被称为“东方蒙地卡罗”，以 其博彩业的蓬勃见称，由于娱乐场 繁盛，故小城内拥有不少当铺，其 中最具代表性的，当属新马路的“ 德成按”典当业展示馆。 Known as “Monte Carlo of the Orient”, Macau is a city of gambling and entertainment and consequently pawn business, and there’s even a museum preserving the history: Tak Seng On Pawnshop Museum.

典当业展示馆原本是民国六年(1917年)开设的一间当 铺──“德成按”，属澳门富商高可宁所有，后来当 铺不再营业，便由澳门政府主动修建成为展示馆。 “德成按”是澳门现存结构较为完整的当铺建筑，其 格局无论从外到内均按民初时期当铺的特色而设置， 完整地呈现当年当铺的面貌。 展示馆由当楼和货楼两部分构成，从大门进入展示馆 便是当楼，这里摆放着一个大红的屏风，俗称 “遮羞板”，板上写有“德成按”三个字。古时人们 觉得 经济有困难的人才会进出当铺，是一件不光彩的事， 所以当户站在遮羞板背后，路人便无法看见自己的样 子，以保有一点稳私。 站在遮羞板内，抬头便可看见装了铁栏栅的柜枱，相 隔这个高高的柜枱便是当铺的帐房。在帐房近柜枱前 有一位或数位赏柜对外接待，俗称“朝奉”，即广东 人俗称的“二叔公”。凭手持的门票，游客或市民可 以使用枱上的印章在上面盖印，门票是仿德成按的当 票而造，十分逼真，更配以枱上刻着“一本万利” 、“大道生财”和“货如轮转”的印章。 展示厅内除了保存了当时当舖中的家具，展柜内还完 整地展示了昔日德成按的用具，各类印章、测量工 具，印当票的模版，还有一本登记薄，让游客及市民 可以了解昔日当业的操作模式和流程。与帐房相隔一 条窄巷的便是当铺的货楼，是存放抵押物的地方。楼 内除设有大保险箱存放贵重物品外，还摆放各种多层 货架存放典当货物，而建筑特色方面则有如碉楼，结 构坚固，有防火、防水、防盗和防土匪的效果。

Tak Seng On was founded in 1917 by local businessman Ko Ho-ning and later restored by the SAR government to serve as a museum. With all the original architecture being fully conserved, it is where you can review how pawn business was operated a century ago.

The museum consists of two sections: The Pawn Building and the Warehouse. Through the main entrance you enter The Pawn Building, and a large red screen with the shop name on is placed behind the entrance serving as a peek-blocker, for pawning your valuables was regarded as a shame in the old days.

The iron-fenced counter behind the screen used to lock away the heart of the shop, where the accountants and pawnbrokers worked. At this you will see crucial goldexamining devices, abacus, and magnifier, as well as word track and calendar.

Visitors could have their unique admission ticket, a vivid replica of the original pawn check, stamped with the traditional stamps, yet another vivid replica, of good wishes.

Other than the furniture, the museum also reserved the whole pack of pawnshop devices and documents for a more complete picture of the business model and procedure. It even has an audio record of a past pawnbroker, allowing a more authentic experience.

The rear warehouse is filled with large safes and shelves to deposit pawns of different values. It was constructed as secure from fire, flood and robber as a fort.

全能艺人李俊杰 Jacky Li, an All-round Talent Susanna Lei Melao

在不少澳门人心目中，李俊杰 Jacky这一个 名字，一点也不陌生，他既是节目主持人、 活动司仪、歌手、教育工作者，也是澳门全 职剧团“戏剧农庄”的创办人之一及行政总 监，更是著名舞台剧演员，曾凭《老窦》一 剧获提名第十四届香港舞台剧奖（悲/正剧） 最佳男配角。 Jacky Li is somewhat a popular name in Macau. He not only is a TV host, master of ceremony, singer, teacher, but also the founder and executive director of “Theatre Farmers” – a full-time drama company – and a distinguished stage actor who got nominated for the Best Male Supporting Role in the 14th Hong Kong Drama Award.

t is not easy to gain publicity in this tiny city of which the showbiz culture is strongly influenced by cities around. Nurtured by a family of music lovers, Jacky has turned his love of music to more than 30 awards in singing competitions of different sizes from when he was still in school; but his career of stage was completely by chance.

Yet the success did not blind him. He is still as energetic as always and keeps teaching however tight his schedule and low the income. Besides, he is also a dedicated learner. He brought Theatresports from the West to the East and became a registered instructor and Asian consultant of the project. “Theatresports emphasises creativity, inspiration to think, and improvement of communication skills, so that people can face living optimistically. I witnessed how some of the students grew from resistance to acceptance and from pessimism to optimism. It is so meaningful that I hope to keep going.” He said.

* Theatresports is a theatre model of improvised performance created by famous dramatist Keith Johnstone. Popular in Australia, the Americas, Europe and Japan, it is performed as a competition without restrictions on number, gender and age of performers, nor on venue and style. You can perform or compete out of anything, anywhere and anytime.

你对澳门最美好的印象是什么？

《Theatresports 劲爆剧场大比拼》 “戏剧农庄”于暑假继续举办 《Theatresports劲爆剧场大比拼》 亚洲联赛，将于8月22至24日假澳 门文化中心小剧院举行，这次的参 赛队伍除澳门队外，更有来自香 港、新加坡、马来西亚及台湾等代 表队来澳一同竞技，而李俊杰就继 续担任大会主持。

Theatresports Competition

Theatre Farmers is hosting another session of “Asian Theatresports League” during summer holiday from 22 to 24 August in Macau Cultural Centre’s Small Auditorium.

Li continues his post at MC for the event, which attracts teams from Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.

你认为在澳门做什么事情能给人真正的澳门 体验？ 步行走在旧桥（即嘉乐庇总督大桥）上，感觉很特别， 它全长2,500多米，也曾是世界最长的跨海钢筋混凝土 桥樑，很少地方可以让人走在这些桥上面吧，我曾经 遇上一个特别的景致，就是一半桥在下雨，另一半则 没有。 我虽然来自香港，但是现在已经当自己是澳门人了。很 开心可以在澳门接触到舞台剧，还拥有一班学生及观众 的支持，更可以与志同道合的朋友，为梦想、为心目中 的文化艺术而努力。

Where in Macau do you find the most beautiful scenery?

The view from Colina da Penha to Sai Van Bridge, Sai Van Lake and Macau Tower is awesome, especially with the sunset.

Which is your favourite restaurant in Macau?

By far the Terrace Italian Restaurant has excellent food and service, which is rare in Macau.

Where is the best place to go for a real Macau experience?

It feels so unique when strolling along the old bridge (Ponte Governador Nobre de Carvalho). Used to be the longest sea-crossing bridge in the world, it has a length of more than 2,500 meters. You can literally walk on it. It is so long that I once saw it half in rain and half not.

What’s your best memory of Macau?

I regard myself as a Macau local though originally came from Hong Kong. It is great to found my theatre career here and be supported by my students, audiences and friends to strive for the development of culture and art. www.cguidemacau.com | July 2014
