Peugeot’s history begins in the 19th century with the manufacturing of items such as pepper and coffee grinders. More than 160 years later, Peugeot grinders still set the standard in the kitchens of the greatest chefs.
Peugeot’s commitment A specific mechanism for each spice, with a lifetime limited guarantee. Environmentally favourable: Peugeot is committed to using wood harvested from PEFC-certified forests.
Mechanism Which pepper to use? To get the best out of your Peugeot pepper grinding mechanism, it is recommended that peppercorns with a diameter of 5mm or less be used. Black, white and dry green peppercorns can be ground. The pink berries can be ground only if in a blend (max 15% pink) with one of these other peppercorns. Dried coriander is also suitable for the pepper mechanism. Pepper mechanism This mechanism is equipped with a helixshaped double row of teeth that guide and hold the peppercorns for a perfect grind. It has a patented treatment that protects the steel from corrosion while maintaining its sharpness and wear resistance. Salt mechanism This mechanism is designed to grind cooking sea salt. It is made of stainless steel and is not sensitive to salt corrosion.
Wet sea salt mechanism This mechanism is specifically designed for wet sea salt. The natural consistency and moisture content do not allow the use of an ordinary salt mill. A spiral guides the salt, ensuring that it does not stick together. Spice mechanism This mechanism provides high performance for grinding spices and dried aromatic herbs such as basil, thyme, parsley, cumin etc. Designed to prevent friction, this mechanism provides excellent breakage and wear resistance. Chilli pepper mechanism This is a Peugeot exclusive product. This patented model has a pre-cutting system and a mechanism that grinds dry chilli powder. Like the pepper grinder it has a patented treatment that projects the steel from corrosion while maintaining its sharpness and wear resistance. Nutmeg mechanism This mechanism is equipped with a double stainless steel blade/grater and a strong claw which enables the nutmeg to be very finely ground. Just turn the handle to release all the nutmeg flavours, without any risk to your fingers.
