New – Higher Apprenticeships for Flight Instructors

Innovation is a hallmark for CTC Aviation and we are delighted to be able to launch yet another world first – a fully sponsored Flight Instructor Higher Apprenticeship.

The Apprenticeship includes three years as an employed Flight Instructor at our Crew Training Centre – Bournemouth and may include personal development training at our Crew Training Centre in New Zealand.

This exciting new programme, supported by the UK Government and Civil Aviation Authority, incorporates the BSc Honours degree in Professional Aviation Pilot Practice which we offer in partnership with Middlesex University and the Aviation Skills Partnership.

On completion of the Apprenticeship, you may choose to continue either working for us as an instructor at one of our Crew Training Centres, or our graduate placement team will identify an opportunity with one of our Partner airlines.

Successful applicants are sponsored by CTC Aviation to become multi-engine Instrument Rating and Class Rating Instructors as well as receiving a salary throughout training and into employment. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Our latest course of CTC WINGS Flybe trainee pilots has begun their ATPL training at our Crew Training Centre – Southampton and will soon be heading off to New Zealand to complete their basic flight training. On completion of their training they will become Flybe First Officers on the Q400 and they are already embracing the Flybe culture and are pictured here creating a human Flybe sign on their first day of training. Our 2013 CTC WINGS Flybe pilots are now within touching distance of their dream job now as they are currently completing their Q400 training with Flybe in Exeter and will be ‘flying the line’ before the summer is out. Enrolling on our normal monthly CTC WINGS ATPL Integrated programme is also a route into flying for Flybe; so, there’s no need to wait for the next sponsored programme if you are raring to get airborne!

NZ Adventure – SWEET AS! Last month we announced that we are offering several special CTC WINGS ATPL Integrated courses with an extended New Zealand adventure built into the programme. The demand is greater than we expected and so we are extending our ‘Sweet As’ offer! Flight training with CTC Aviation in New Zealand makes the journey to your dream job as an airline pilot even more unique and we’ve put together an amazing package that provides you with the opportunity to combine your flight training with the time to explore some of the most amazing sights on our planet.

We’ve put together a number of suggested NZ ‘adventure’ packages, or you can tailor your own – perhaps club together with others on your course. It might be a backpacking trip in a camper van around NZ, a visit to the movie set of Lord of the Rings, a helicopter flight over Rotorua, a swim with dolphins, tall ship sailing or a bush safari, or a tour of the famous kiwi wine regions – and along the way you’ll also learn more about the native Maori culture. What’s more, we will make a £2,000 contribution to fund your NZ adventure. And of course, learn to be an airline pilot in the process! As the Kiwis would say, our adventure-packed airline pilot training course is ‘Sweet As’!

You’ll spend 15 months in New Zealand with us and we’ve scheduled dedicated leave weeks into the programme to ensure you can take maximum advantage of your time there.
