“Hello from the golden deserts of Arizona! Flight training with CTC WINGS has been one of the most amazing times of my life. Not only did I get to fly a brand new, state-of-the-art Diamond DA-40 aircraft, I have also explored the whole west coast of America, Canada, and Mexico. My first solo flight was unforgettable, as was the ‘initiation’ ritual we have started; post – landing I was carried from the plane and hurled into the campus swimming pool by my course mates before my feet even touched the ground! I chose to train with CTC Aviation because of their iconic partner airlines - the list of airlines I could be working for seems to be growing rapidly! I was actually offered a job with a private jet company and turned that down for the opportunity to go in the CTC Aviation airline placement pool. thomas cook airlines to employ ctc Wings graduate pilots
The 4 newest members of aircrew will commence line operations in April 2015, with Dean, Joseph and William operating out of East Midlands and Georgie from Newcastle.
Thomas Cook Airlines has once again turned to CTC Aviation to select from the company’s airline placement pool of newly qualified CTC WINGS pilots. Tim Cheal, General Manager Training for Thomas Cook Airlines confirmed that the first group of four pilots to commence their type rating would be Joseph Cammell, Dean Corbin, William Sharp and Georgie Sweeney. We caught up with the pilots during the early days of their type rating training at CTC Aviation’s Crew Training Centre – Southampton, UK.

Due to increased demand we are accepting applications onto our popular ATP scheme, leading to aircraft Type Rating training and placement opportunities with one of our growing list of Partner airlines. Applicants meeting the following criteria will be required to complete our Airline Qualification Course (AQC) to airline standards as part of their CTC FLEXICREW selection process:
• Hold a CPL/MEIR with ATPL Theory (‘frozen’ ATPL) issued by an EASA member state (first series pass at CPL and IR) • Hold an unrestricted Class 1 Medical certificate • Have the unrestricted right to live and work in the EEA • Produce a CRC (Criminal Record Check) Basic Disclosure Certificate
