FORWARD GHOSTS OF BRISBANE

THE GHOSTS OF BRISBANE by Christopher Zisi Just after Christmas I watched a movie called Alien Lockdown (aka Creature). Seven minutes into the movie, The Ghosts of Brisbane was born.

It was such a beautiful thing as the plot just took form and expanded like a gelatinous potion in a mad scientist’s laboratory. The particular scene that sent me bubbling out of the test tube of writer’s cramp concerned a beautiful army soldier being briefed by a menacing Colonel. The soldier is played by the effervescent Singaporean actress Michelle Goh. In this scene the Colonel asks her if she knows why she was selected for this mission? The mission? Doesn’t matter, so just hold your horses. Michelle Goh, who plays the soldier, Talon, responds “… because I survived ‘The Brisbane Operation’?” She answered correctly. “The Brisbane Operation”? Not explained (until the end of the movie), but that is all I needed

What unfolds over the pages that follow is my account of “The Brisbane Operation,” and the consequences that resulted. You’ll meet so many nymphomaniac psychotics and you may become obsessed with them. Let yourself go, allow the beautiful to take you by the hand and lead you to so many wonderful and horrific places, and most of all… don’t feel guilty about enjoying this epic about the ruination of Australia.

Oh…by the way… Alien Lockdown and Talon do explain ‘The Brisbane Operation’ at the end of the film. Allow me to boast… my ‘Brisbane Operation’ is far superior than the one detailed in the film. For now, I sign off as I put the finishing touches on the sequel to The Himalayan Devil Woman.
