Broncos fan WEST EALING Above: London Broncos Rugby League club fan Mandy has her drum beaters but no drum – “Where’s the drum” are the words painted on her back – while her team work hard in the mid-20s heat to beat Workington Town 50-28 and maintain their unbeaten home record in the League. At right: the bleachers were popular for Broncos fans to enjoy the sunshine and clear blue skies. See page 2 for our Q&A with Broncos player James Cunningham.

team more confidence? We set a target at the beginning of the year to try and go a whole season unbeaten at home, and it’s worked out pretty well for us so far. We always like to go into games with confidence but never complacency – we understand that in order to be successful that hard work is paramount. Hopefully we can continue our home form and more people from Ealing can get behind us and support us.

The road to Broncos Former Hull FC player James Cunningham plays the hooker position for the London Broncos Rugby League team. Would you say that London Broncos have now properly settled into the area? What do you like about the whole Pitshanger/Trailfinders set up? Pitshanger is definitely one of my favourite places to visit in London, and I think it’s because of the community feel that I get when I go there. Everybody is just so polite and welcoming. I have a decent following on

Twitter so I think it’s nice for me to give the local businesses the advertisement and credit that they deserve. How cool is it that London Broncos haven’t lost a League game at home all season – that’s seven winning games on the trot! Do you feel increasing pressure to win every time you go out to play at Vallis Way, or does your home record actually give the

Q&A

Congratulations on renewing your contract with London Broncos for another two years. Can you imagine what the team, and your own game, will be like by the end of 2018? Yeah thank you I’m really pleased to be staying in Ealing for at least another two years. Our main aim is to gain promotion into the Super League again. As for me personally, I just want to grow better as a player and a person.
