For half a century PALECEK has combined natural materials and traditional handcrafting techniques with contemporary designs to create furnishings as unexpectedly beautiful as they are rigorously durable. The Casey Outdoor Collection is a perfect example of these guiding principles of design and construction. It features a striking outdoor sofa and lounge chair, crafted with natural teak wood legs and frame. PALEY SINGLE CHAISE

Summit Furniture is delighted to introduce Paley, their latest collection, which was created in partnership with designer Mark Anders.

“I wanted to mark 10 years of working with Summit Furniture with a new collection inspired by the lifestyle of the American socialite Babe Paley,” says Anders. “There was a picture of Babe taken around 1959 from Jamaica...and I was taken by her elegance in such a beautifully simple and relaxed setting. Paley’s fluted forms add texture to this collection’s elegant simplicity.” The Paley collection includes a chaise, double chaise, daybed, sectional lounge chair, ottoman, sectional sofa, coffee table/ footrest, occasional tables, and planters.

CALLIDUS GUILD COLLECTION COLLABORATION WITH YOLANDE BATTAEU

The Callidus Guild Collection is the vision of Yolande Milan Batteau, a trained and exhibited fine artist who brings decades of aesthetic and decorative skills to the studio. SHELL COLLECTION

The delicate design of sea shells was the starting point for creating the rounded designs in nautical rope for Tidelli Shell Collection. Hallmarked by artisan craftsmanship, sustainable practices, and impressive durability that withstands even the harshest climates, Tidelli’s luxurious designs are artistic yet functional. The brand's design philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that nature is the best source of inspiration to reflect harmony and balance.

Comprising three items, the Shell Collection features an armchair, a loveseat, and a chair. Each piece combines an upholstered seat with a rope exterior, supported by wooden legs and reinforced with an aluminum frame.

I Object: KENNY SCHACHTER: SCULPTURE

PDC DESIGN GALLERY ON VIEW THROUGH APRIL 2024

The exhibit is comprised of recent sculptures, videos, prints and paintings all of which derive from digital files—the majority of which have never been seen before (other than the loop of video works spanning decades).

The videos and writings, since 1993, largely pertain to the art ecosystem— but beyond—to the greater social, political, economic and technological landscape we are mired in; and, in particular, to the hermetically sealed machinations of the art market, generally known by few and understood by less. Systematically pulling back the curtains on the goings on of the gallery, museum, auction and art fair businesses (they are all nothing short of ruthless commercial enterprises—even institutions) in a critical and analytical fashion, Schachter brings attention to the myriad hypocrisies of the art world. By employing humor, he disarms and diffuses the often harsh and biting nature of the satire.

PDC DESIGN GALLERY ON VIEW THROUGH SEPTEMBER 2024

Betsy Enzensberger is a Southern Californiabased pop artist who is known for her whimsical resin sculptures. Her flagship Original Melting Pops™ series has had international recognition and acclaim. She has exhibited with galleries domestically in Los Angeles, Miami, Des Moines, Dallas, Charlotte, and New York, and internationally in Hong Kong, London, Stockholm, Belgium, Hamburg, Singapore, and Byron Bay.

“It is my intention to spark joy and inspire nostalgia by utilizing the unifying form of the ice pop. If I can connect with someone across the world over a simple thing like an ice pop, then I feel like I have created a sense of unity and positive connection. Why are they melting? This element begs for the sculptures to be rescued. Once saved from impending doom, the sculpture is then coveted in its partially melted form. The perfectly imperfect half melted sculpture is the epitome of the series title “Tragically Sweet.”” - Betsy Enzensberger
