UPCOMING COURSES WITH

Mark Soukup It appears that Congress will not initiate any significant changes to the Tax Code for 2016. Unfortunately (or fortunately based on your perspective) the IRS and the Tax Court have been churning out rulings, procedures, and regulations in bulk. Many of these new rulings and regulations will have a significant impact on your clients and the management of your practice. Here are some of the changes: 1. Hobby Losses – The tax court has issued several new rulings on horse operations, jets, planes, and automobiles

lessors

2. Taxpayer reimbursements for corporations to claim charitable deductions – a favorable ruling for your clients

5. Research and Development – the new rules give some tremendous opportunities to small businesses for tax planning in this area.

4. Uniform Deductions – or really lack of a deduction

3. Passive Loss – new rules for S corporation

6. Capitalization and Repair rules - the IRS is still issuing some clarifications that will be important for all your business clients no matter how small the business. 7. Partnership Basis – New rules on allocation of basis 8. Revised Forms – IRS has changed rules on filing several of its forms

Register online at cocpa.org for one of Mark’s programs and learn about the ever-changing rules and regulations you need to know for this year’s tax season. TAX YEAR IN REVIEW AND 2016 PLANNING 10/31 Sterling 11/03 Steamboat Springs 11/10 Pueblo 11/11 Colorado Springs

We know how busy your travel and work schedules can be, so we guarantee you seven days’ notice (prior to the presentation date) of the cancellation of any course.
