ETHICS DAY Join us for COCPA Ethics Day!

December 1, 2021 9:30-11:10 AM

Colorado Board of Accountancy Statutes, Rules, and Regulations Learn how to apply these bodies of law to practical, everyday experiences for the CPA in public, private, and government practices. Also, get updated on State Board Statutes and Rules. This course meets the Colorado State Board of Accountancy requirement to complete a CR&R course within six months of initial licensure/certification

11:30 AM-1:10 PM

Ethics and the AICPA’s Principles, Rules, and Responsibilities

1:30-3:10 PM

How Much are Your Ethics Worth?

Using the AICPA’s code of conduct, you’ll gain additional tools to help you make ethical decisions. Major topics discussed will include the AICPA Code of Conduct and sharing of ethical dilemmas and their solutions.

Ethics are of central importance to the CPA profession. But what do we mean by ethics? Is it just appropriate behavior, compliance with laws, or is it much more? In this course, we’ll discover what sets ethics apart and, therefore, sets the profession apart as well. We’ll explore the tools given to CPAs, the role of bias, and dive into real-life case studies to apply the AICPA’s ethical framework and detect where bias was involved.
