Public Interest Research Bureau

Pro Bono Research Providing pro bono research services for public interest legal organizations. The Florida Coastal Public Interest Research Bureau (“the Bureau”) provides free legal research services to lawyers working for public interest law organizations. The goal of the Bureau is to provide student research and writing services to poverty law attorneys in an effort to make justice available to all. The service is provided at no cost to participating Legal Services Programs.

Using the Bureau’s online program is easy. Attorneys in participating Legal Services Programs can access the Bureau’s user friendly website at www.fcsl.edu/researchbureau and, within minutes, post a research request. Step-by-step directions are provided on the website to allow for easy uploading of any supportive documents, such as pleadings or motions. If no documents are needed to complete the project, an online from can be submitted that includes relevant facts, legal cites, if any, and further instructions. A Bureau Research Associate will then be assigned to the projects and will follow up with the organization.
