I’ m Claudio Patanè, I’ m abilitated as architect on 11th of February 2009 and graduated on the 10th of May 2008 at Syracuse university of architecture. Having difende a degree tesi about “sprawl city”, in which I investigated the mechanisms of growth of contemporary cities and for which I elaborated a strategy that, through sociality, could produce identity, I would like to deepen this matter and find out new places for experimentation. Degree thesis entitled “FRAMMENTI DI UN DISCORSO METROPOLITANO, immaginarie ipo/tesi: l’area collinare etnea” Thesis Director: Prof. Stefano Munarin During the academic years I worked as assistant of Architectural Design, Urban design and Life Class teachers. I organized cultural events and several film shows like a member of sedicinoni group - a student organization. As a student I had the chance to have a lot of experiences in different cultural environments, in addition to work in the research field. So, I struck up a relationship with foreign architects, artists, performers and with the staff working at the contemporary art gallery of Siracusa. I attended to some conferences where I knew the opinion about the architecture of Stefano Boeri, Odile Decq, Giorgio Grassi, M. Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo, Emanuel Mateus, Bernardo Secchi, Paolo Soleri and Livio Vacchini. I am good at using computer, expecially at working with graphic software such AutoCad, Rhinoceros, Adobe (Photoshops, Illustrator, InDesign), Office, Corel Draw.
