Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and bring food and their favorite beverage to enjoy during the movie. The series kicks off Friday, June 7 with the B-movie classic, Robot Monster. The show runs June 28 - 30, 2019 at Bristol Riverside Theatre. Directed by Lisa Dawn Miller, My Buddy takes the audience on a journey that explores the deep bond between a father and son. Sharing personal anecdotes, Sandy brilliantly captures the nuance of his father’s comedic style as he reminisces about a lifetime together, including the 10 years they spent touring on the road, sharing stories and memories from the beginning days of Buddy’s career, to his skyrocketing success as a movie star and night club entertainer, to being the most sought after comedian of his day – to his rule breaking, fearless comedic truth, which broke barriers paving the way for today’s comedians. My Buddy reveals never-before-heard stories about Buddy Hackett holding court with some of his friends: Johnny Carson, George Burns, Richard Pryor, Jerry Lewis, Bob Newhart, Phyllis Diller, Milton Berle, Danny Thomas, Sid Caesar, Woody Allen, Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Alan King, Mickey Rooney, Harvey Korman and countless more. With the success of Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show, produced by Hackett and Miller, Sandy shares what inspired him to honor his father and his pals, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Dean Martin and tells stories of the times they shared together when they ruled the Las Vegas strip and beyond. Through original, distinctive, humorous and poignant Hackett storytelling, My Buddy is funny, witty and touching as Sandy recreates some of his father’s comedic moments and for the first time uncovers some interesting family drama that transpired after Buddy passed away in 2003. Lisa Dawn Miller, a producer and singer/songwriter, is the daughter of legendary songwriter, Ron Miller. She’s currently developing a new musical, For Once in My Life, about the life of her father whose hits, in addition to For Once in My Life, include Touch Me in the Morning, A Place in the Sun, Heaven Help Us All, Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday, If I Could, I’ve Never Been to Me, Someday at Christmas, Everyone’s a Kid at Christmas Time and many more. She has released several recordings and directed numerous music videos. She also heads up her own music publishing company, LDM Publishing; manages her father’s vast legacy catalogue; tours throughout the country and manages the careers of her children, 18-year-old actor/singer, Oliver Richman, freshman at New York University Tisch School of the Arts and 13-year-old actor/singer/dancer, Ashleigh Hackett, a middle schooler, also a student of the performing arts. Performances are Friday, June 28 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, June 29 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, June 30 at 3 p.m. Tickets start at $30 and are available by visiting www.brtstage.org or calling the BRT Box Office at 215-785-0100. Bristol Riverside Theatre is located at 120 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, PA. Since 1986, BRT has continued to bring critically acclaimed professional theatre to Bucks County. The theatre is the recipient of over 71 Barrymore Award nominations for Excellence in Theatre, given annually by Theatre Philadelphia. Under the direction of Artistic Director Keith Baker, Founding Director Susan D. Atkinson, and Managing Director Kevin Maroney, the theatre serves as a cultural hub for the community. In addition to its Mainstage productions, BRT offers four concerts including the holiday tradition An American Christmas Songbook, the new play development series America Rising, and the summer theater arts camp ArtRageous. For information, visit www.brtstage.org. BRT’s Summer Music Fest 2019 continues with Woodstock at 50: A Celebration (July 18 28, 2019), which relives this pivotal moment in music history with favorite songs from the 1960s. The festival will conclude in August with Broadway Summer Spectacular (August 15 - 25, 2019), bringing Broadway to Bristol in an evening packed with Broadway hits.

Shown is detail of “The Ring Nebula, 1/6/99.” Photo/The Hubble Heritage Team (AURA/STScI/NASA) he Hubble Space Telescope was launched on April 24, 1990, aboard the space shuttle Discovery. For the last 29 years, from its perch high above the distorting effects of Earth’s atmosphere, it has been observing the universe in near-ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared light, and recording some of the most detailed images of space ever. A new exhibit at Haverford College, The Cosmos Viewed from Earth and Outer Space from 1949 to the Present, collects and presents 40 color photographs made from Hubble Telescope’s high-definition images. Dating from 1990 to 2018, these beautiful and mysterious images have been carefully sized, edited, and printed for maximum detail and optical color balance in the digital imaging labs in the Marshall Fine Art Center. They were selected from the hundreds of files available on the Hubble Telescope website to highlight the telescope’s landmark accomplishments: making the deepest views ever taken of the evolving universe, finding planet-forming disks around nearby stars, chemically probing the atmospheres of planets orbiting other stars, identifying the first supermassive black hole in the heart of a neighboring galaxy, and providing evidence of an accelerating universe, propelled perhaps by some unknown source of energy in the fabric of space. In this new exhibit, these images are paired with a collection of analog, black-and-white gelatin silver print photographs of similar celestial spaces housed in the Strawbridge Observatory at Haverford College. This collection, known as the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey, is an ultra-rare set of special, highresolution photographs made of the night sky from 1949 to 1958, when it was less difficult to observe celestial space in the night skies over Southern California without the high density of light pollution now present. Pairing the two sets of telescopic images – one made on ground and one taken in space – presents a case study in the advances of photography from the analog age to the digital age. Prints from both sources offer an extraordinary opportunity for experiencing the intersection of photography and science. The ability to see into deep space and to record what is observed is a keystone of research, teaching, and learning about the origins of life and the meaning of the cosmos. The Cosmos Viewed from Earth and Outer Space from 1949 to the Present will be on view June 1 through October 6, at Haverford College’s Atrium Gallery in Marshall Fine Arts Center. An opening reception will be held Friday, May 31, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the gallery. The Atrium Gallery, in Marshall Fine Arts Center, is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Starting Sept. 9, it will also be open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. For information, contact Audrey A. and John L. Dusseau Professor of Humanities William Earle Williams at wwilliam@ haverford.edu, or visit exhibits.haverford.edu/finearts/thecosmos-viewed-from-earth-and-outer-space-from-1949-tothe-present/. Haverford College is located at 370 Lancaster Avenue, Haverford, PA 19041.

The evening began with photos in front of a flower wall. Once inside the venue, the guests mingled while perusing the Silent Auction before sitting down for dinner. Live Auction concluded the night and included many exciting items, such as a seven night stay at the Tryall Club in Jamaica, a trip to Chicago with tickets to the Notre Dame vs. Virginia game in South Bend, and brunch on a Barton and Gray All-American 40-foot Hinckley boat. The event, planned by Holy Child’s Parents’ Auxiliary, raised money to directly support Holy Child.

Featuring the world’s largest bounce house, The Big Bounce America tour lands at Maplezone Sports Village, 4881 Chichester Avenue, in Aston, PA, May 24 through Sunday, June 2. he Big Bounce America’s 2019 tour is bringing the most action-packed experience of the year to the Philadelphia region, from Friday, May 24 through Sunday, June 2. Featuring the world’s largest bounce house, The Big Bounce America tour is the largest touring inflatable event in the entire world and will be taking place at Aston’s Maplezone Sports Village, 4881 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA 19014. The Big Bounce America tour features three massive inflatable attractions: the world’s largest bounce house, an incredible 900+ foot long obstacle course, and a unique, space-themed wonderland, bringing familyfriendly entertainment to all new heights! The world’s largest bounce house, the featured attraction on the tour, is the planet’s preeminent bounce castle, and The Guinness Book of World Records agrees! The incredible bounce castle includes a basketball court, giant slide, and a massive ball pit. At the center of the fun is a world-class DJ playing a carefully selected soundtrack with nightclub quality sound and lights. Everyone is invited to enjoy the experience as sessions for the world’s biggest bounce house are organized by age. There are even adult-only sessions! Making its 2019 tour debut, The Giant, a 900+ foot-long inflatable obstacle course that is ready for aspiring ninja warriors! Designed with all ages in mind, The Giant offers over 50 different obstacles that will have participants weaving in-and-out of barriers, hurdling over inflatables, crawling through tubes, and climbing walls before descending the final slide at the finish line. Additionally, guests will be able to enjoy the brand new: airSPACE! This twenty-five-foottall space themed spectacle includes a five-person slide and a fifty-foot-wide play space for younger bouncers. The inflatable is filled with friendly aliens, spaceships, giant planets, moon craters, and more! It took more than 18 months of dreaming and planning before The Big Bounce America tour came to fruition. Grahame Ferguson, co-founder of the Big Bounce America sheds light on the inspiration for the idea: “The Big Bounce America had amazing success in Philadelphia last year and we can’t wait to show the region what we have been brewing up for 2019! We knew we had to up the ante and are really excited for the local debut of The Giant and airSPACE, giving the 2019 tour a really fun, unique spin. This event will continue to leave children, as well as adults, in awe when they arrive and happily exhausted when they leave.” The Big Bounce America is more than just inflatables; it’s a bouncing festival for all ages. Sneakers off, party on! For info and tickets, visit: https://thebigbounceamerica.com/. This event is expected to sell out; advanced tickets are encouraged. Maplezone Sports Village is located at 4881 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014.
