INSTRUMENTE MIT TRADITION
Die Geschichte Die Qualität und das Renommee der FEURICH Instrumente sind in der Tradition des Hauses begründet, denn schon 1851 rief Julius Gustav Feurich als Spross einer alteingesessenen KlavierbauerFamilie die Pianofortefabrik FEURICH in Leipzig ins Leben. Er erwarb die Gewerbeanmeldung für eine Goldmark. Julius Feurich war sehr innovativ und brachte als einer der ersten deutschen Klavierbauer das aufrecht stehende Klavier nach Deutschland. Diese ersten Instrumente hatten schon 1851 eine Unterdämfungsmechanik, eine Bauart die sich in der Branche erst rund 50 Jahre später durchsetzte und heute noch Stand der Technik ist. Das junge Unternehmen wuchs rasch und um die Jahrhundertwende produzierte FEURICH bereits mit 360 Mitarbeitern jährlich 1200 Klaviere und 600 Flügel. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurden die Fabrikanlagen vollständig zerstört, doch der feste Wille zum Weiterexistieren und der weltweite gute Ruf der FEURICH Instrumente ermöglichten den Wiederaufbau. Allerdings war nach der Teilung Deutschlands keine Möglichkeit für eine zukunftsweisende Entwicklung gegeben. Im Dezember 1959 wurde das gesamte Unternehmen enteignet. So entschloss sich die 4. Generation zur Abwanderung nach Westdeutschland, wo man im mittelfränkischen Langlau in einer Unternehmensgemeinschaft ein neues Zuhause für die Produktion der FEURICH Instrumente aufbauen konnte. In den folgenden Jahren wurde rasch an die Erfolge der früheren Jahre angeknüpft. Seit 1993 ist das Unternehmen wieder völlig selbstständig mit dem Sitz in Gunzenhausen, Mittelfranken. Hier werden seither die berühmten FEURICH Instrumente in handwerklicher Tradition von hoch qualifizierten Mitarbeitern liebevoll für Kunden in aller Welt gefertigt.
The history In 1851 Julius Gustav FEURICH founded the Pianofortefabrik FEURICH in Leipzig as an offshoot of an old-established instrument maker's family. He acquired the trade registration for just one Gold Mark. Julius FEURICH was particularly forward looking in his conceptions of piano design. For instance, his first uprights were very resonant for their size. Already by 1851 they were supplied with underdamper action, yet other German makers only took up this modern innovation from around 50 years later. FEURICH'S burgeoning enterprise grew rapidly and from around the turn of the twentieth century the company could boast a huge factory with 360 workers producing 1200 uprights and 600 grands annually. They even had a concert hall where famous pianists of the day performed on their instruments. Sadly, during the Second World War the manufacturing plant was completely destroyed. Nevertheless, gradually in the 1950's the firm relaunched, endeavouring to rebuild its former world-class reputation. However, the partitioning of Germany made the situation increasingly difficult. Eventually in December 1959, the company was expropriated by the communist regime and in such circumstances business began to decline. Therefore, Julius Hermann of the fourth generation decided to depart for West Germany. Here he set up a new home for FEURICH instruments at a production complex in Langlau, Middle-Franconia, Bavaria. From then on, the enterprise accomplished as firm a business foundation as it had in pre-war years. Since 1993, the company achieved full autonomy building a new factory in Gunzenhausen, Middle-Franconia. From this centre our famous FEURICH instruments are exported to customers all over the world.

L’ histoire Grâce à leur qualité, la renommée des instruments FEURICH a toujours été partie intégrante de notre tradition car en 1851 Julius Gustav Feurich, qui allait devenir le fondateur d’une longue lignée de facteurs de pianos, créa la manufacture de pianoforte FEURICH à Leipzig. A cette époque l’inscription au registre des métiers lui en coûta un Deutschmark or. Julius Feurich s'avéra très novateur et il fut l’un des tout premiers facteurs allemands à introduire le piano droit en Allemagne. Dès 1851 nous avons utilisé une mécanique avec des étouffoirs par le dessous, technique qui ne fut généralisée qu’environ 50 ans plus tard et qui est toujours d’actualité. La jeune entreprise connut une croissance rapide et au tournant du siècle, FEURICH employait 360 personnes et produisait 1200 droits et 600 queues. Lors de la seconde guerre mondiale la fabrique fut entièrement détruite mais la renommée mondiale des instruments FEURICH et une volonté farouche de poursuivre l'œuvre entreprise permirent de trouver l'énergie et les moyens de reconstruire. Après la division allemande toute possibilité de développement dut être écartée et en décembre 1959 l’entreprise se vit entièrement dépossédée. C’est alors que la quatrième génération décida d'émigrer en Allemagne de l’Ouest, où, en Franconie, à Langlau, fut construit un nouveau site de production, au sein d'une communauté d'entreprises. Dès lors, le succès fut de nouveau au rendezvous. En 1993, la fabrique recouvre sa totale indépendance et se transporte à Gunzenhausen. C'est là que depuis sont fabriqués, à destination du monde entier, les célèbres instruments FEURICH, réalisés par des collaborateurs hautement qualifiés dans le respect de la plus pure tradition artisanale.

KONZENTRATION AUF DAS WESENTLICHE
Klavierbau ist Kunsthandwerk Ein schwieriges, aber schönes und klingendes Handwerk, das viele Fertigkeiten verlangt : technisches Verständnis, handwerkliches Können und künstlerische Begabung.
Die Herstellung eines Klaviers beginnt mit der Auswahl verschiedenster Hölzer, je nach Einsatz speziell ausgesucht, gelagert und getrocknet. Feinste Bergfichte aus dem Bayerischen Wald und Österreich, über 1000 Meter Höhe gewachsen , erfüllt erst die Anforderung an hochwertiges Resonanzbodenholz , wie es bei FEURICH verarbeitet wird. Die Stege, hergestellt aus feiner, aufrecht stehender Buche , werden im Diskant noch mit einer Aufdoppelung von ausgesuchtem massivem Ahorn verstärkt und verfeinert, denn diese Festigkeit beeinflusst den späteren Klang. Die Stahlsaiten aus besonderem Klaviersaitendraht erfüllen hohe Anforderungen an Klang und Festigkeit. Das Gleiche gilt für den Gussrahmen, der präzise berechnet und gegossen sein muß. Rund 20 Tonnen Zugkraft liegen auf den Saiten und der Platte eines fertigen Klaviers oder Flügels. Der Aufbau von Klaviatur und Mechanik erfordert ein Höchstmaß an Erfahrung und Fachwissen, damit die bis aufs Zehntel konstruierten und gefertigten, zum Teil filigranen Teile der Mechanik optimal zusammenspielen und so dem Pianisten das Gefühl eines perfekten Instrumentes vermitteln. Stimmen und Intonieren beschließen die Herstellung. Hier wird jedem FEURICH Instrument der letzte Schliff gegeben, damit der typische Klangcharakter auch vollends zur Geltung kommt. Nach der Endkontrolle, die von Julius Feurich häufig selbst erledigt wird, können die Instrumente ihren Weg in ein klangvolles Musikleben beginnen. FEURICH gibt eine Langzeitgarantie für jedes Modell. Einer von vielen Gründen sich für FEURICH - Qualität zu entscheiden.
Piano building is a specialist art It involves a wide selection of traditional skills: It demands sophisticated technical understanding, consummate craftsmanship and the experience to build instruments that enchant both performer and audience. Piano production begins with the choice of different timbers, specially selected, stored and seasoned. The timbers for our High-quality soundboards come from the finest mountain spruce grown in Bavarian and Austrian forests at alti– tudes of over 1000 metres. Our bridges supporting the strings are produced from fine, vertically-grained beech; later strengthened in the treble and capped with carefully chosen solid maple. This makes a big difference to the final sound and ensures that the upper register of the piano does not lose sparkle over time. Our steel strings are selected specially for their consistent tautness and wide sound spectrum. Similarly, exacting demands apply to the precise calculated and cast iron frames. Up to 20 metric tons of tensile strength are exerted on the frames of our finished upright and grand pianos. The design of both keyboard and action requires careful matching deriving from our specialized knowledge and experi– ence. All of these features subtly interact, evolving into the perfect instrument. Careful tuning and voicing concludes the building process. All this reveals the unique FEURICH sound. Following inspection and adjustment the final touch is given by Julius FEURICH personally. Only now are our instruments ready for their musical journey. We conclude by giving an extended guarantee with every piano. All of these features present the continuing tradition of FEURICH quality. They will surely be the deciding factor in your choice of piano.

La facture de piano est un artisanat d'art Artisanat difficile, qui pour élargir le beau visuel au sonore sublime requiert d'immenses compétences : connaissances techniques, savoir-faire artisanal et talent artistique. La production d'un piano commence par la sélection des bois les plus variés, qui doivent être choisis, stockés et séchés spécialement en fonction de chacune des utilisations. Chez FEURICH, seuls les meilleurs épicéas de la forêt bavaroise ou d'Autriche, ayant poussé à plus de mille mètres d'altitude, sont retenus pour la fabrication des tables d'harmonie. Les chevalets, en bois debout, proviennent des meilleurs hêtres, sont affinés dans les aigus et renforcés d'érable massif, dont la robustesse sera d'une grande influence sur la sonorité. Les cordes, tant pour leur sonorité que pour leur solidité, doivent répondre aux plus hautes exigences. Il en va de même pour le cadre en fonte, qui doit être calculé et fondu avec précision. Un piano, ou un piano à queue, fini supporte environ 20 tonnes de tension sur ses cordes et sur son cadre. Le montage du clavier et de la mécanique demande un maximum d'expérience et de maîtrise, pour que les éléments produits au dixième de millimètre puissent s'assembler de manière optimale et transmettre au pianiste les sensations d'un instrument parfait. L'accord et l'intonation représentent les ultimes étapes de la fabrication. Au cours de cette étape chaque instrument FEURICH est peaufiné afin que ses caractéristiques sonores puissent être complètement mises en valeur. Après le dernier contrôle, qui est d'ailleurs souvent effectué par Julius Feurich lui-même, les instruments peuvent prendre vie dans le monde musical. Our F227 model has been conceived as a semi-concert grand designed for smaller to middle-sized concert halls in conservatoires and educational institutions. It is also very appropriate for use in the home. The piano possesses consistent tonal balance with a very wide dynamic range. It has a responsive, precise touch clothed within casework of aesthetically pleasing design. Pianists invariably praise the instrument's transparency of sound. Recording studios comment on its outstanding consistency through bass and treble ranges. This model can be manufactured to customers' personal requirements. We offer many different modifications to order whether these relate to casework, piano action, or for instance choosing a keyboard with mammoth tusk naturals and ebony sharps.

Diese Formgebung ist heute noch so aktuell wie zur Zeit des berühmten Kunsttischlers Thomas Sheraton, dem wir den Namen für diesen eleganten Flügel entliehen haben. Der klassisch schlichte Stil und die Verarbeitung edelster Hölzer zeichnen das FEURICH Modell „Sheraton“ aus. Das hochglanzpolierte PyramidenMahagoni, dessen Krönung ein auf ganzer Länge durchgehendes Furnierblatt auf dem Flügeldeckel ist, wird durch die feinen eingelegten Birnbaumadern akzentuiert.
The refined neoclassical style and careful crafting of quality wood make our FEURICH "Sheraton" model particularly distinguished. A bright polished pyramid-mahogany inlaid with a continuous veneer sheet runs throughout the whole length of the grand. The lid is highlighted by fine, pear tree marquetry. This design is as attractive now as it was in the day of the famous English designer Thomas Sheraton from whom we have borrowed the name for this most elegant grand piano.

As early as 1851 our founder Julius G. Feurich designed the first upright piano employing an underdamper action. This innovation put it fifty years ahead of its time, only being taken up worldwide by other manufacturers around the turn of the twentieth century. Our uprights too undergo the same careful manufacturing as our grand pianos. These are constructed to similar exacting standards of craftsmanship. All materials for these are made from the highest-quality materials. Clearly, our upright models are more compact, space saving and less expensive than our grands.

A l’ opposé de la tradition de l’ époque, l’ histoire de la maison FEURICH démarre avec un piano droit et non pas avec un piano à queue. Ainsi le premier piano à mécanique avec des étouffoirs par le dessours fut-il présenté déjà en 1851 par notre fondateur Jlius Gustav Feurich. Il devançait ainsi l’histoire d’une cinquantaine d’années. Cette façon de faire est appliquèe de nos jours par tous les facteurs de piano. Les instruments FEURICH sont fabriqués à la main, avec amour et avec le plus grand soin par des facteurs de piano confirmés. Les matériaux utilisés sont également de tre-s haute qualité. De par sa conception ce piano est simplement plus compact, plus petit et par conséquent plus écnomique qu’ un queue.
