That mark includes 21-0 at home, 2-9 away and 4-1 on a neutral floor. The Mocs are 32-5 overall in their first home game of the season. - Chattanooga is 4-0 against Hiwassee. See page three for more series info. - The Mocs are 93-1 against non-DI competition since the move to DI in 1977-78. The lone loss was on December 16, 1999 to Southern Poly, 73-69. - All 10 Southern Conference teams begin the 2014-15 season Friday, November 14. - Chattanooga’s probable lineup includes two starters (Casey Jones & Greg Pryor) from last season along with three newcomers. Two, Justin Tuoyo (VCU) and Tre’ McLean (Queens) spent 2013-14 practicing with the squad sitting out the season due to NCAA transfer rules. Chuck Ester signed with the team in the spring period as a junior college transfer (East Mississippi C.C.) with three years of eligibility remaining. So it includes a junior and four sophomores. - The Mocs have a hectic beginning playing eight times in the season’s first 18 days. It opens with a three in five run with Hiwassee at home followed by trips to Wisconsin (11/16) and Butler (11/18).


2014-15 CHATTANOOGA BASKETBALL NEXT UP Chattanooga hits the road to face Wisconsin on Sunday, November 16, and Butler on Tuesday, November 18. The meeting with the 2014 Final 4 participant Badgers is a 1 p.m. (Eastern) tip on ESPNEWS in the Kohl Center. HEAD COACH WILL WADE - Head Coach Will Wade is 18-15 in his second season as a head coach. He is 1-0 in season openers, 3-0 vs. non-DI competition. - The 18 wins in year one were the most for the Mocs since the same total in 2008-09. - Wade is 12-2 at home, 5-11 away and 1-2 in neutral site contests in his career. - Wade is a 2005 graduate of Clemson. He has worked with current collegiate head coaches Larry Shyatt (Wyoming), Oliver Purnell (DePaul), Tommy Amaker (Harvard) and Shaka Smart (VCU) at Clemson, Harvard and VCU, respectively. - Wade’s staff includes a former head coach, Wes Long (Queens, 2009-13), former Mocs standout Casey Long (2004-07) and Brooks Savage. POSTGAME PROCEDURES

The UTC locker room is closed. For home games, following a 10-minute “cooling off“ period, Wade comes to the media room first followed by visiting team coach (if requested). Selected Mocs follow the visiting coach. Visiting player availability and locker room accessibility depends on that team’s procedures.

SOCON TELECONFERENCE

The Southern Conference hosts a weekly teleconference for its men’s basketball coaches during the spring semester. A complete schedule will be emailed upon release.

Every Tuesday during the regular season, the Southern Conference announces its Player of the Week. There is also a monthly award that will be announced early in the month following the previous one’s competition.

2014-15 CHATTANOOGA BASKETBALL SCHEDULE NOTES - For the fourth time in the last four seasons, Chattanooga faces a Final Four team from the previous year. This time it is Wisconsin. The last three: Kansas (11/15/12), Butler (11/15/11) and Kentucky (12/17/11). - There are 17 home games on the schedule. That’s the most since 18 in 2012-13. - Georgia’s visit on December 2 will be the first SEC opponent in McKenzie Arena since Tennessee on December 4, 2007. It’s the Bulldogs first game in the Scenic City since the 1985 NIT (March 13). - There are five non-conference road games. Three of the five – Tennessee Tech (11/22), Kennesaw State (11/29) and Middle Tennessee (12/19) – are fewer than 115 miles from campus. - Of the non-conference schools, Middle Tennessee is the most frequent opponent as this year is the 61st meeting. UTC leads 32-28. - Hiwassee, Kennesaw State, Georgia, Montreat, Northern Kentucky and UAB return to the schedule from last season. - The Badgers, Robert Morris and Louisiana-Monroe (possible opp.) are the only first-time opponents. - Montreat is coached by former Mocs guard Lincoln Walters (1995, ’96-98). - It has been more than 10 years since the Mocs have faced either Tennessee Tech or Lipscomb. The last time the Golden Eagles crossed paths with the Mocs was November 11, 2001 (13 years). The most recent meeting with the Bison was December 29, 2002 (12). - UAB is back in town for the first occasion since December 16, 1997. - The SoCon is a 10-team league after all the realignment shuffle.
