design tips Planning The Space – Size matters as it will dictate proportions and quantity of bathroom fittings and furniture you can install. Ergonomics and efficient use of the space along with how people work are important because a bathroom is a place that should operate smoothly and efficiently as well as being somewhere that is safe and relaxing. Mirrors and Medicine Cabinets play a functional role in the bathroom but they can be used to create an illusion, too. A wall or large panel of mirror will reflect natural light, increasing strength and giving room a brighter, more open and invigorating feel. Stands the Test of Time – While you update wall coverings, accessories and hardware that reflect the latest trends, consider choosing cabinetry that will stand the test of time. Accessories Use accessories to accent your cabinets: Crown Molding, Vanity Dressing Drawer, Medicine Cabinets, Linen Cabinets, Mirrors, Hutches, and Laundry Hamper Kits, to enhance the functionality of your bathroom design. Toe Kicks and Fillers Can be used on the outside edges of cabinets to give the illusion of space. Toe kicks provide an elegant look to your MasterBath cabinets. They are offered in multiple finishes and styles and can be combined with decorative fillers. They are to be used on the outside edges of cabinets to give the illusion of space. Fillers can be used between cabinets, against walls and for decorative use. Fillers are 3˝ wide and can add a unique look to your bathroom layout. Create a stylish design by adding rope, column, fluted, or standard fillers between drawer banks and vanities. Door to Door Layout Think about how each door and drawer of your cabinetry will open. Be sure they will not collide when opened. Filler can be ordered to create space so door to drawer cabinets do not hit each other. When a drawer bank is next to a wall, a filler must separate the cabinets from the wall to prevent the doors or drawers from rubbing against the wall. Sink Location Make note of the sink location, sinks may only be placed over vanities, not drawer banks. MasterBath vanities cannot be placed on 18˝ Vanity Cabinets.

Finishing Tips • It is important to measure your cabinet space for accurate dimensions. Keep in mind that sinks may be placed over Vanities only, not Drawer Banks. • Be sure to consider all elements of your cabinet configuration, especially the toilet location, plumbing, electrical outlets and door clearances. • Accent your bathroom design with accessories like Mirrors, Bath Storage Cabinets and Crown Molding. • When purchasing a Linen Cabinet as a stand-alone unit, order both the Linen Flush-Fit End Panel Kit and a Base Flush-Fit End Panel to complete the exposed sides. • Remember you will need to order a Flush-Fit End Panel for every exposed side or partially visible side of cabinetry in your bathroom. • When designing your layout, Fillers can be added to balance out your available area and fill space. Fillers should also be used between a wall and Drawer Bank, to ensure clearance between drawer fronts and wall.
