BROAD Magazine

Chicago, United States

BROAD magazine is a digital and social justice publication born from the Women's Studies and Gender Studies program at Loyola University Chicago. As part of BROAD media, BROAD Magazine is a non-profit effort by a diverse set of activists. Broad's Mission: BROAD media is an alternative media movement founded on the principle that no experience or identity is illegitimate. We aim to embrace all identities, empower all stories, and engage people of all beliefs in constructive dialogue about the topics that really matter. Unlike mainstream media, BROAD does not censor or limit the kinds of expressions it publishes. Instead, we seek to bring marginalized voices to the front and center of our media engagement. Intersectionality is at the heart of BROAD media, where it is not shunned, split, nor squashed as in the mainstream.
