Above: Lincolnshire 14-year-old, Harriet Drewery saw off the competition to win the Petplan Equine Preliminary Silver Under 21 Championship. Partnered by Claire Drewery’s 14-year-old mare, Desana (by Diamond Hit), Harriet rode to a fabulous victory on a cracking score of 70.56% from the judges panel. The partnership made their competition debut together in November, achieving a string of successes.

Right: The only rider to break through 70% in the Petplan Equine Preliminary Bronze Under 21 Championship was 12-year-old Annabelle Wesley, who scored 72.15% to take first place with Armada Dyffryncothi Bridget. Armada Dyffryncothi Bridget is no stranger to BD Youth riders, having started Bridget Tate’s career back in 2014, before going on to help Lily Laughton at the start of her dressage journey.
