RESIZE DESIGNS
Changing the size of a design, either proportionally or non-proportionally, is easy. Size changes in a range of +/- 20% provide best results. Size changes beyond 20% can be achieved but a test stitch out of the design is recommended.
ALTER STITCH DENSITY
Alter the stitch density of designs and lettering to accommodate different types of fabric and varying weights of thread.
MOVE DESIGN
Arrange designs anywhere in the hoop by using the stylus, your fingertip on the screen or use the external multi-function knobs.
WORDART
Customise lettering by creating vertical, horizontal and curved baselines. Individual letter spacing can also be changed for style or visual balance.

2-Point Placement is a feature for easy positioning, resizing and aligning of embroidery and quilt designs without additional tools or templates. If the fabric is hooped off-grain, use 2-Point Placement to match the angle of the design to the angle of the fabric. Need to resize a design to fit perfectly on a project or in a quilt block? No problem. With 2-Point Placement resize or skew a design between two points that you set.
VIRTUAL POSITIONING
Check the exact placement of a hooped project down to any single stitch! Easily check boundaries, alignment points, or stitches in any location directly on your project for perfect placement.
ENDLESS EMBROIDERY
Endless Embroidery makes it simple to repeat and align embroidery designs to make continuous borders. Designs can be fine-tuned to the spacing desired and verified with stitched placement arrows.

STITCH OPTIMISATION TOOLS

INVISIBLE SECURE & SMART SECURE
Invisible Secure stitches the tie-on and tie-off stitches within the design so they are hidden and will not detract from the look of the design. Smart Secure is a feature that recognises if a design does not have tie-on or tie-off stitches and will automatically add them if you turn the feature on.
THREAD-UP COMMAND
Lower and raise the needle to bring the bobbin thread to the top of the fabric at the start of stitching, leaving the underside of the embroidery clean.
THREAD AWAY MODE
When Thread Away Mode is activated the machine cuts threads and moves the hoop in a manner that keeps the threads to the underside for clean embroidery results on the top side of the project with no threads to clip.
SMART JUMP STITCH CUTTING
The cutting of jump stitches can be set, subject to design properties. No more manual trimming on the top side needed.

The range of BERNINA presser feet includes special feet that are used for both free-motion embroidery and for embroidering in a hoop.
EMBROIDERY FOOT #15
This foot is engineered to prevent the embroidery thread from looping during stitching. The foot is long from front to back and the front is tilted slightly upward to facilitate movement over dense embroidery stitches.
DROP-SHAPED EMBROIDERY FOOT #26
This is the preferred presser foot for machine embroidery. The drop-shaped needle opening provides proper thread guidance for perfect loop formation and high speed embroidery.
FREE-MOTION COUCHING FOOT #43
Stitch continuous line quilting designs using 2 mm cord and Foot #43. When stitching, the cord will be couched into the stitching, giving the design a raised effect.
ECHO QUILTING AND CUTWORK FOOT #44C
Foot #44C is perfect when using the Pinpoint Placement function. The clear foot with cross-hair lines at the needle opening provides an open view and guides for setting the placement points. Also beneficial when quilting borders as the cupped bottom of the foot glides easily over the edge of the quilt.
ADJUSTABLE RULER FOOT #72
For an added embellishment, use the Couching Inserts and the Adjustable Ruler Foot #72 to couch various yarns, cords and threads.
PUNCHWORK TOOL

Closed items, such as T-shirts or small kids clothes can easily be embroidered thanks to the freearm and the different hoop sizes.
JUMBO BOBBIN
