VISION ROMANS 15:20-21 20 Accordingly I set a goal to preach the gospel, not where Christ’s name was already known, so that I would not build on another man’s foundation; 21 but [instead I would act on this goal] as it is written [in Scripture], “They who had no news of Him shall see, And they who have not heard [of Him] shall understand.”

MISSION 1 CORINTHIANS 1:17 17 For Christ did not send me [as an apostle] to baptize, but [commissioned and empowered me] to preach the good news [of salvation]—not with clever and eloquent speech [as an orator], so that the cross of Christ would not be [b]made ineffective [deprived of its saving power].

Devotions by the anointed Dr AndrĂŠ and Jenny Roebert

Self Control Message taken from Galatians 5:22-23 (AMPC) Galatians 5:22-23 (AMPC):"But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes]...self-control... Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge]." A definition for this remarkable fruit of the Spirit, self-control, is to have dominion from within. As born-again children of God, the strength that sustains us from inside our spirits is the power of the Holy Ghost, at work within us. Which, incidentally, is the biblical definition for every fruit of the Spirit. As we submit ourselves to the will of God; obeying and allowing Him to transform us, He empowers our spirits in the process, giving them dominion over our thoughts, emotions, will, and physical bodies. Galatians 5:16 says, "But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). His empowerment strengthens us to refuse the temptation to quit under pressure and do His perfect will! Philippians 2:13 says, " [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energising and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight. So yield to the Holy Spirit today and let the fruit of self control demonstrate its power in you.

B&TG NEWS CHRISTIANS IN THE KNOW!

OVERVIEW: New Stories of Kobe Bryant's Faith Emerge More stories about Kobe Bryant's faith are coming out in the aftermath of the tragic helicopter accident that killed him, his daughter, and seven other passengers in California last weekend. Leaders of a sports ministry that was involved in outreach at the 2012 London Olympics are revealing an encounter they had with Bryant. In that conversation, he told them he had asked Jesus to be his savior. "We were telling different guys about Crossfire basketball ministry, and Kobe was there," Randy Shepherd of Crossfire Ministry told WLOS News 13. "And I said Kobe, have you ever invited the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your life as your Lord and Savior? A question I've asked a lot of people from kids to the president, and he said, 'Yes I've done that'." Source: CBNNEWS.COM

India’s Christians See Challenges Ahead in 2020

The initiative is being launched in response to “the gruesome murder of the Chairman of CAN Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Rev. Lawan Andimi, abduction and killings of many Christians recently and the continuous incarceration of Leah Sharibu and other prisoners of faith.”

Source: www.persecution.org 01/10/2020 India (International Christian Concern) – Looking back over 2019, many Indian Christians remember the year as a challenging year. The reelection of the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to India’s national government and continued attacks on Christians and their places of worship have many bracing for more challenges ahead in 2020. According to Tehmina Arora, a practicing Supreme Court lawyer and Director of ADF India, Christians in India continued to endure an increasing number of attacks on their community in 2019. Much of this violence was perpetrated by radical Hindu nationalists, often incited by the BJP government’s nationalistic rhetoric and policies.

Nigeria launches three days of prayer and fasting Source: www.csw.org.uk The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on churches in Nigeria and abroad to join in three days of “Special Fasting and Prayer,” commencing on 31 January 2020

The fasting and prayer will focus on “the gruesome killing of innocent Nigerians” and the need for the Nigerian government to “develop capacity to overcome the criminals troubling the nation.” It will culminate on 2 February, with a “Special Prayer Walk by Christians in all the States of the Federation,” involving processions led by CAN Chairmen of each of the federal states and pastors of churches across Nigeria.

The Dangers of Religious Social Networking in China by : Zhang Feng (www.bitterwinter.org) Believers not only face the risk of arrest for gathering in unlicensed places of worship – even joining a religion-affiliated group online may lead to persecution. China’s communist regime has been monitoring what people say online for years, attempting to manipulate public opinion and block any information it deems

damaging its image, including issues related to religion. All Chinese social networking platforms, WeChat being the most popular, are under constant surveillance, and groups uniting people of faith on them are targeted in particular, authorities seeking to arrest as many people as possible in one go.

WASHINGTON, DC – US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman tells CBN News that the newly unveiled Middle East Peace Plan is a proposal that will both preserve Israel's democracy and give Palestinians a chance to flourish. "There's a lot here for everybody," Friedman tells CBN News during an interview in Washington, DC on Wednesday.

"It will preserve Israel's sovereignty over its biblical heartland and it will create an opportunity for the Palestinians to live in peace and dignity and prosperity…We think we threaded the needle. It's a tough needle to thread but we'd like to think we got there." Palestinian leadership has rejected the plan outright, saying the United States can't be trusted as an honest broker.

ACTIVE & PASSIVE OBEDIENCE BY:GOTQUESTIONS.COM

Active obedience is when we obey the commands of someone else. Passive obedience is the total submission to another, even when harm or suffering may result. The two concepts are very similar, but active obedience usually involves the performance of certain deeds, while passive obedience implies non-resistance. In reference to God, active obedience is seeking out His commands and setting our hearts to do them. Passive obedience is the state of ongoing surrender that says, “Not my will but yours be done” (Luke 22:42). Jesus exemplified both active and passive obedience at all times during His ministry on earth, and Christians are to rely on the Holy Spirit’s power to follow His example (Acts 1:8). God required active obedience of the Israelites in the Old Testament. That active obedience was detailed and difficult because God wanted them to realize that they could not be righteous enough to deserve His mercy and grace.

"CHRISTIANS ARE TO RELY ON THE HOLY SPIRIT’S POWER TO FOLLOW HIS EXAMPLE (ACTS 1:8)." He was setting the stage for the entrance of His Son, Jesus, who would fulfill every letter of the law (Matthew 5:17). Through Jesus’ active obedience, He fulfilled the totality of the law’s requirements. He said, “I always do those things that please Him” (John 8:29). In passive obedience, Jesus submitted Himself to cruel and unjust treatment because it was the will of God (Isaiah 53:7). The Bible never uses the terms active obedience or passive obedience, but some biblical descriptions of Jesus’ passion do emphasize passivity: “When they hurled their insults at him, he did not -

retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly” (1 Peter 2:23). A Christian is to remain in a constant state of passive obedience to God. Walking in the Spirit means we stay sensitive to His leading and respond the way He wants us to (Galatians 5:16, 25). When hardships come, we endure (James 1:2). We live in the knowledge that God will work everything together for our good (Romans 8:28), so we need not pursue vengeance (Romans 12:19). We know that God is at work in our lives, and we give Him free rein to accomplish what He wants (Galatians 6:9; Philippians 2:13). However, passive obedience is only half of the responsibility of the Christian. God has specific commands He wants us to obey, and many of them are contrary to what we would naturally choose.

Jesus told us that in order to follow Him we must “deny ourselves and take up our crosses” (Luke 9:23). Those are actions. Among other things, we are told to “be not drunk with wine, but be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18), “flee sexual immorality” (1 Corinthians 6:18), “love one another” (1 Peter 1:22), and “pursue holiness” (Hebrews 12:14). Those commands all require active obedience. First Thessalonians 5:12–22 is a list of commands from Paul to the church. It is not an exhaustive list, but it demonstrates that the Christian life requires performing certain actions.

WHICH JESUS ARE YOU

SERVING? BY M.K

With Jesus as our perfect model and the Holy Spirit as our strength, we must pursue lives of both passive and active obedience (Acts 1:8). It takes both to fulfill commands such as this: “As far as it is up to you, live at peace with everyone” (Romans 12:18). Passive obedience overlooks wrongs and leaves judgment with God. Active obedience seeks ways to do good and avoid evil. When we live this way, we glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

"GOD HAS SPECIFIC COMMANDS HE WANTS US TO OBEY, AND MANY OF THEM ARE CONTRARY TO WHAT WE WOULD NATURALLY CHOOSE.".

GET YA MIND R I G H T !

BY; KENDRA DUBLIN

The Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Spirit is a comforter. The Holy Spirit is a teacher. The Holy spirit helps us with decision making. The Holy Spirit is peace giving. The Holy Spirit is accountability. The Holy Spirit helps us finish God’s work in God’s ways. So, why is it so hard to run this Christian race? Last month we talked about Selfexamination=Purpose preparation. While we are examining ourselves, we have to allow the Holy Spirit to take the lead in our development. If the soul can turn itself to God, the process isn’t as grueling and as lengthy as we think it is. What is the soul? It’s your mental ability to reason, character, personality, feeling, consciousness, memory perception, and ultimately Life! Without it there’s nothing to activate the body, the brain and the blood flow for living. The soul is longing for a connection to its Creator and often has a hard -

@godsperspectiveforme

time deciphering which god is God. While we are searching for God, we usually find ourselves filling that role. We can function without the Holy Spirit even at high levels which is why it’s hard to come into submission to God when He’s put everything we need in us to succeed (in whatever capacity that means). We don’t need the Spirit to reason or think, so we often feel like we don’t need it; Our word is better, our thoughts are better. “See God, I did it without you!” You can feel accomplished never realizing the level that you are residing in, still isn’t your best or God’s plan. When the Holy Spirit comes upon us and attaches itself to our soul, we can handle life differently than without it. When we receive the Holy Spirit, the same soul that could reason for itself comes into subjection to God’s will. How you reason is based upon your submission to the Holy Spirit, not yourself. So, do my issues go away once I receive the Holy Spirit? No, they don’t go away! If you are jealous person, you’ll still be a jealous person. If you are a mean person, you’ll still be a mean person. If you’re a liar, love sex, and love to gossip, you will still have the same strongholds. The difference is you’ll start to feel bad about it and the Holy spirit will convict you; Because the Holy Spirit is your accountability partner, it will try to stop you at your thoughts. But are you willing to surrender to have the transformation needed to live a godly life? If you are a liar, your deception comes in wanting to keep things under your control. Pride and self-service are all you want. Your memories are unreliable and after a while it’s hard to recall what’s actually true. “But Kendra, how do I give up the control I desperately seek?” Record your thoughts throughout the week. Ask yourself, why do I feel like I need to-

deceive people? Is there something in my childhood that created this alternate way of thinking? As you start to write these things down. Figure out where you were triggered. Did you lie more at work than home or vice versa? Allow the Holy Spirit to show you were you need to focus on weekly to face yourself in a way that starts to change your behaviors. Maybe your personality is straight forward. Did you know you can be honest and humble? Lol. Because most of the time you are mean, and you want God to back up your meanness; “God made me this way.” Actually, He didn’t. You have convinced yourself that you don’t need to grow because “keeping it 100” is the only way to live. But ask yourself this…What if God kept it “100” with me all the time? You couldn’t handle it! So chill sometimes. Examine yourself around your friends, family and coworkers. What was the intent behind what you said? Did everybody around me shut down after I said my piece? You can always ask someone close to you how do they feel around you? Also, allow the Holy Spirit to take over, weave in and out of you, so you start to recognize how you can change your behaviors. In today’s culture, it isn’t hard to “get into your feelings” and allow that to guide and lead you. But that’s not the ways of God. Basing your life on your feelings keeps you impulsive and diminishes your decision-making skills. Your body is controlled by your erratic conduct, your breathing stays rapid, it’s hard to understand what’s happening in situations and you become more reactive then proactive. Ask yourself, why am I acting this way? Why are certain situations changing my disposition? How can I make better decisions? Try breathing techniques to bring your body and reaction into submission to the Holy Spirit. Recite your favorite scripture as you began to breathe slowly. Always ask the Holy Spirit for guidance then listen.

allowed the Holy spirit to take over or are you constantly fighting it for the #1 position? Is your perspective jacked up? Is your pride not allowing you to take God at His word? How many self-induced setbacks do you need? Think of a time when you allowed the Holy spirit to take over. How did it feel? For me it was about seven months ago. I had a lot of negative thinking about a situation I was dealing with. It wasn’t until I gave God full control of my actions that I was completely removed from that setting. There will be certain things that I’ll have to deal with as the aftershock occurs but I’m at peace and stress free. When you lean into God, He will help you because the help is already attached to you. Even when you don’t feel like you hear God, the Help is in you. #LeanIntoWhatIsWithin Be patient in your journey, but always take actions to change. What are you prepared to do over the next 24 hours, seven days, 14 days, to give the Holy Spirit authority? It’s up to you to change today because TOMORROW IS TOO LATE TO BE GREAT in the KINGDOM of GOD.

Seven Things That Bring Increase By: Gloria Copeland

These principles are how Ken and I laid a foundation for the prosperous life—and also how we maintain it. #1 Walking in truth. This means walking in the light of God’s Word, according to His ways, His wisdom and what He says is right. I’m not talking about just reading scriptures about prosperity. You prosper when you have a lifestyle of walking in all the words God says to you. #2 Faithfulness. Be faithful to continue meditating on the promises in the Word until they overtake your life.

#3 Diligence. The Word repeatedly says we are to diligently seek God, listen to what He says and obey His commands. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 says when you do, blessings overtake you, because “he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). And as Proverbs 10:4 says, “The hand of the diligent maketh rich.” #4 Tithing. Tithing is a covenant transaction that gets God involved in what you are doing. The first 10 percent of your income—the tithe— belongs to God. It’s devoted to God, and goes to support ministries that feed you spiritually. #anniversaryissue

Tithing is how you honor God with your money. It makes a way for Him to bless you supernaturally. #5 Sowing. After we tithe, we are to sow according to what the Lord lays on our hearts, with the right attitude. The Hebrew word for offering comes from a root word that means “to draw nigh.” We draw nigh to God with our offering. Second Corinthians 9:6 says: “He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” The Scripture plainly says you reap what you sow (Galatians 6:7). If you desire to be a receiver, you have to be a giver. #6 Believing. The Bible says several times, “The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11;

"Be faithful to continue meditatin g on the promises in the Word until they overtake your life."

Hebrews 10:38). Abraham was blessed because he lived by faith. He believed God. We’re supposed to live the same way: “So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham” (Galatians 3:9). #7 Saying. Faith must be in two places—in your heart and in your mouth. “The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach” (Romans 10:8). Believing in your heart and saying with your mouth produce the operation of faith. Jesus said, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” (Mark 11:23).

First fruits are the first grain harvested in Israel, if you did not bring your first fruits in the house of the Lord, God instructed Israel that there would be no additional fruits for the harvest, therefore as a farmer in the time of Israel you did not have the blessing of God because you refused to bring the first fruits you were in trouble.

GOD IS THE LORD OF ALL OR HE IS NOT LORD AT ALL. God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the garden of Eden, they didn't have to work like we do, many hours a week and even face traffic. God gave Adam and Eve one command that: “do not eat the tree of knowledge of good and evil” (Genesis 2:17). Why did God create that tree? To see if Adam and Eve would put Him first whenever Satan came to tempt them because He knew that temptation is coming., God wanted to see if they would put their WILL above His Will. When your desire, plan, ideas become more important to you than God's plan, you have adopted the attitude of Lucifer. Lucifer challenged God (Read Isaiah 14:12-14). The fact is you can have the attitude of Lucifer and confess to be a Christian.

When your WILL becomes greater than God's WILL, you have an idolatry problem! When Jesus and the 12 disciples were rejected by the Samaritans, James and John came to Jesus and asked permission from Him if He could call fire down to the people who wouldn't accept the. Jesus looked at them and said do you know what you are asking, you don't know what manner of spirit you off (Luke 9:54-55). Saint Peter said to Jesus you don’t need to go to the cross, when the Roman soldiers threatened to take Him, Peter said we'll take up swords and we'll defend you, Jesus looked at him at said get behind me satan. (Mathew 16:22-23). Why did Jesus reprimand him? Because the whole purpose for Him to come on earth was to die on the cross Revelations 13:8 says from the foundations of the earth He was pre- destined to die as the Lamb of God that took away the sins of the earth and when Peter said: “you don’t need to go to the cross”, that was exactly what Satan did not want to happen. HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOUR ATTITUDE IS CONTROLLED BY SATAN? • When you refuse to put God first in your life • When your WILL is not God's WILL That's when you are in a dangerous territory Satan did not put God first and even though he was an ark-angel one of the top three in Heaven, God kicked him out of HEAVEN and He became the devil Ezekiel 28:11-19 Isaiah 14:12-17. Why? Because he worshiped his WILL. Adam and Eve had one thing to do and they messed it up and God kicked them out of the garden of Eden for not putting His WILL first.

Eve and Adam were cursed, the ground was cursed and that curse lives until this day (Genesis 3:16-19) Let's look at Abraham: why did God choose Abraham to be the father of all nations all who believe, why is it even after thousands of years people still know him better than any person on the earth? Because he understood the law of first fruit, when Abraham tied Isaac and placed him on the altar to sacrifice him to God, he lifted the knife and the angel of God stopped him and said: “For I know that you truly fear God” ,THE LIVING BIBLE translation says: “for I know that God is first in your life” (Genesis 22:12). Only when you put God first, He is God able to provide what He promises (Genesis 22:1-18). ONLY IN TOTAL OBEDIENCE IS THERE TOTAL REWARD, CONSIDER GOD'S LAW FIRST THINGS, EXODUS 34:22-26 God established the system of sacrifice in which animals were to be burned as an offering upon the altar. In Leviticus 1:1-17, God designated 5 different animals that were acceptable for sacrifices. The 5 clean animals were: - Oxen - Goats - Sheep - Pigeons - Tuddledoves And the animals you sacrificed was a reflection of your financial ability, but this was a command for every person in Israel, DON'T COME EMPTY HANDED BEFORE THE LORD. In the law of first fruit it was either things were sacrificed or redeemed, Exodus 13:12.

ROTUBIRTNOC

According to old testament law the first born was to be either sacrificed or redeemed there was no third option. In the new testament, John the Baptist meets Jesus Christ at the banks of the Jordan river (John 1:29) Christ at the banks of the Jordan river (John 1:29) And says behold the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. Jesus was God's only begotten son He had to be sacrificed or redeemed, God allowed His son, a male lamb without spot or wrinkle to be sacrificed for the sins of the world. The point is if you do not accept Christ as your substitute on the Cross, you must die for your sins because the wages of sin is death, Jesus paid the price for us to be redeemed from the power of sin and darkness because of the cross we are free, we have eternal life, we have healing from sickness and disease, there is VICTORY over the world, the flesh and the devil, there’s the prosperity of Abraham, the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.

CONCERNING FIRST FRUITS Whatever is done with first fruits determines what happens to all the rest. Follow this: Isaac was the first-born child of Abraham as first born, he was to be redeemed or sacrificed, when Abraham put Isaac on the altar God send a ram tired by the horns just so to redeem Isaac. When the first fruit was given, it brought a mighty harvest, follow the history; whatever is done with the first portion determines what happens to all the rest!

Joseph sent for his family the Jewish people who were a number and stayed in Egypt for 430 years they became a mighty nation of almost 2 million people even though they were persecuted they prospered and grew, why? because of the first fruit, Isaac on mount Moriah had been given to God and what you do with the first fruit determines the guarantee of everything that comes after it, that's why they were blessed and always will be blessed because God is keeping His covenant with Abraham. IN CONCLUSION

We go to church on the first day of the week it determines the quality of the rest of the 6 days determines the quality of the rest of the 6 days You give to God your tithe first and He blesses what is left. Isaac was the first fruits, he had two sons Jacob and Esau, Jacob had 12 sons and their descendants became the 12 tribe of Israel. God sent Joseph to Egypt to be the PRIME MINISTER.

If you refuse to put God first, it doesn't stop God from being first. It only releases the judgement of God on you, it releases a curse on everything you put your hands on for the rest of your life until you put your house in order!

the minute you you refuse to put God first in your life and when your WILL is not God's WILL, know that YOUR ATTITUDE IS CONTROLLED BY SATAN!

Sometimes the things we think are the most valuable are of little importance to the Kingdom of God. In this study, Daniel Kolenda discusses how God’s honor system works differently than man’s system of status, wealth, and power. “I have a hunch that those most honored will be the unlikeliest of people. Something tells me that those whom God will honor are not the same people we would honor.” – Daniel Kolenda A Glimpse of Eternity (PART 1) So not everyone will receive the same reward in the age to come.

Some believers will actually be closer in proximity to the throne of God than others. Some will receive special honor from Him in front of all creation. Listen closely to Jesus’ own words. “Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted… When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you in return and that will be your repayment. But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you;  for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous” (Luke 14:11-14, emphasis added).

In this world, self-promoting, proud people love to decorate themselves with status symbols—like cars and clothes—that distinguish them from others and demonstrate their wealth or power. But one day, God will decorate men and women with honor, wealth and power beyond anything this world has ever known. And I have a hunch that those most honored will be the unlikeliest of people. Something tells me that those whom God will honor are not the same people we would honor (Luke 16:15; 1 Cor. 1:26-28). I daresay that the most decorated men and women in eternity will be people whose names we have never heard.

Many will be the unseen servants who were faithful in the most humble of circumstances. There will be a little girl who laid her life down for the Gospel, refusing to deny the name of Jesus and remaining faithful until death. There will be grandmothers who spent decades on their knees interceding for lost loved ones. No one saw their sacrifices—the burdened prayers, the sleepless nights, the tears, the groaning—except God. But on that day, they will receive the reward for their labor, and will be honored before angels and saints. There will be Sunday school teachers, church nursery workers, and janitors.

There will be saints from every walk of life with various callings and gifts, who were simply faithful to the assignment God gave them. They were faithful with their resources, faithful with their time, and faithful with their abilities. They were obedient to God’s call, and one day, they will receive their reward. If this isn’t good news to you, perhaps you aren’t living in light of eternity.

Religion in Christianity Message taken from John 10:10 (NKJV) John 10:10 (NKJV):"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Many people confuse Christianity with religion. While the Bible explains true religion as being a part of Christianity, it shows religion certainly doesn't define it. James 1:27 says pure religion is, "... to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." As Christians, we're instructed to help those in need, and live holy lives, but that's just a part of Christianity. Its essence is the miracle of God at work in man; it's divinity alive in humanity. It's a living relationshipbetween God and man, through the Holy Spirit inhabiting the life of a believer. Understand, when you received Christ into your heart, it was a real life experience that will continue to change your life forever. As you allow God's character to be formed in you, He will live out His good purpose through you, and pure religion will be one aspect of your new life in Him.

THE LESSONS OF THE SWALLOWS

Uncle Angus Buchan . A Born Again, spirit filled servant of the LIVING GOD. An Author, Evangelist, Farmer, Husband, Father and Grandfather.

Early this morning, as the sun touched the peaks of the hills, I looked up at the beautiful clear sky, and saw tiny dots. On looking closer, I could see they were swallows, returning from Europe. It seemed like just yesterday they were gathering on the telephone lines, getting ready to fly north, leaving our winter for the summer of Europe. And here they were back again. Looking at the swallows, I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to recall the faithfulness of God. The Bible says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). God is trustworthy. He never changes. He is absolutely dependable. We live in an age where things move so fast it seems as if we cannot be certain of anything. Many of us don’t know what tomorrow will bring. And we therefore need to trust in God. In Philippians 4:6, we read: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your

After a while, the robin, puzzled, turned to the sparrow and asked: “Why are these people running all over the place? Why are they so busy? What are they so worried about?” The sparrow said: “It’s probably because they don’t know the Heavenly Father that you and I trust in.” Here’s a little story with a lot of truth in it! Christ urged us to take our cue from the birds – they do not worry about tomorrow, because God feeds them and takes care of them. How much more valuable are you and I to Him? The Lord says that He knows the number of hairs on our heads! He reminds us that every sparrow which falls to the ground is seen by Him. We need

the ANTICHRIST WORDS BY: Britt Gillette EXTRACTED FROM : of End Times Bible Prophecy

The Bible tells us that in the last days one man will rule the world. He will rule over the entire human race politically, economically, and religiously, speaking great blasphemies against God and setting himself up in the Temple as God himself. But this man will not be God. He will be the very antithesis. He will even lead a rebellion against God, but he will be destroyed by the King of kings. History has deemed him the Antichrist, but he is known by other names as well, each being fully indicative of his character:

Although much debate surrounds his national identity, the Book of Daniel clearly states that he will come from the people whose armies destroy the Temple.

With the benefit of hindsight, we can see how this was possible, but for the Jewish scholars who lived before the time of Jesus, these prophecies were the topic of much debate. That debate continues today in regard to prophecies of the Antichrist. But in reality, we won't know the absolute truth until he appears. As such, it is wise to study these prophecies and teach them to others, so that the people of the Antichrist's generation will be able to positively identify him based on sound Scriptural evidence. THE LORD IS COMING SOON “the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect”

It was on the 7th of January 2020 when I got a visitation from Almighty God, My Lord Jesus Christ in a form of a vision. As a Prophet of God, I hardly have visions. The only time I recall getting a vision from God was when I was in my former church and God would show me a vision regarding me opening a ministry, that’s the only time. The vision occurred in the early hours of the 7th of January 2020. Yeshua was saying :

“My son, I know I have anointed you to preach, teach , set the captives free, deliver and heal the broken hearted I don’t dispute that but you must go to the nations and tell my people that: I AM COMING SOON”, child of God that was it. I woke up and I was terrified because this time Yeshua whom I normally hear His voice came to me in a vision. Child of God, The King of kings is soon returning ARE YOU READY? Jesus said that He will return soon. Read: Matt 24:36; Mark 13:32. Yeshua said that He does not know when He will return but He nevertheless said that He will return soon. While sending His disciples out on a mission trip “to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Mt. 10:6), He told them to hurry, for they will not have enough time to visit all the cities of Israel before He comes (Mt. 10:23). Teaching His disciples that they must take up their cross and follow Him because it is foolish to gain the world and lose one’s soul (v. 24–26), He concluded, “whoever loses his life for My sake will find it ... for the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds.

Read : Matt 16:25-28 ; Luke 9:26 Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who shall not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom” After saying that everybody will see Him coming on the clouds with power and great glory, He told a parable to warn His disciples to be watchful, and concluded, “this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away “(Mt. 24:34-35; cf. Mark 13 & Luke 21). Note that, in each instance above, He emphasizes the truth of His Words. Yet, 2000 years later, He has not returned. Some people just bluntly conclude that Yeshua made a mistake. Others proposed various, sometimes desperate, solutions for this conundrum. These articles evaluate various proposals and conclude with a view that has major implications for our understanding of the kingdom of God. THE APOSTLES ALSO BELIEVED THAT THE LORD IS COMING SOON. However, it is not only Jesus that said that He would come soon; this concept is found everywhere in the New Testament, for instance:

Paul wrote: “Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here” (Rom. 13:11-12). “God ...will soon crush Satan under your feet” (Rom. 16:20). “The time is short, from now on it would be wise for those who have wives to be as if they had them not” (1 Cor. 7:29). “The Lord is coming soon” (Phil. 4:5). Similar to what Jesus said, Paul also wrote that we will not all die before He comes: “We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed” (1 Cor. 15:50). “We who are still alive ... till the coming of the Lord” (1 Thess. 4:15). Paul also in the Hebrews wrote that “all the more as you see the Day approaching. ... You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay” (10:25, 36-37). - James wrote: “The coming of the Lord is at hand ... the Judge is standing right at the door” (5:8, 9). - Peter wrote: “The end of all things is at hand” (1 Pet. 4:7). “it is time for judgment to begin” (1 Pet. 4:17). - John wrote: “The world is passing away ... it is the last hour. Even now many antichrists have arisen; from this we know that it is the last hour.” Read : (1 Jn. 2:17-18).

In Revelation John also wrote: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” was “to make known to His servants the things which must shortly come to pass” (Rev. 1:1,3; 22:6). Jesus three times said, “I come quickly (or soon).” (Rev. 22:7, 12, 20; cf. 3:11). These statements that the Lord is coming soon are found all over the New Testament. Only two authors in the whole New Testament don’t have anything to say about His soon return. Unexpected YESHUA also said that “the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect” (Luke 12:39), and some therefore propose that ‘soon’ should be understood as ‘unexpected’, but these are two different concepts that are able to co-exist. THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE DAY Peter explained the delay as follows: Read: 2 Peter 3:3 ... in the last days mockers will come with their mocking ... 4 ... saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” ...8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. That Peter had to explain the delay implies that the Christians were already then asking questions about the delay. Peter here explains the delay by giving two reasons, namely: Time does not matter to God, for with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day), and His motive is to save all; He is not wishing for any to perish (die). We should not use Peter’s words to argue that God meant “soon” from His perspective of time, because that would imply that God purposefully deceived His disciples, which we cannot accept. We should rather interpret Peter’s words as meaning that Yeshua was to return while some of His hearers were still alive, but that God delayed His return, “not wishing that any should perish

10 reasons christians shouldn't celebrate

VALENTINES Valentine’s Day is among the most popular Christian holidays in the world today. However, what’s popular does not automatically mean it’s acceptable to God. You might be shocked to know that the Bible actually forbids the celebration of Valentine’s Day. Here’s why!

Valentine’s Day is among the most popular holidays in the world. Thanks to commercialism, this day is so popular that even non-Christians celebrate it. It is estimated that Americans spend about $20 billion on this single holiday alone, making it the second most expensive holiday next to Christmas. However, the majority is not always right. One must ask whether Christians should celebrate this day. Most importantly, what does God think about Valentine’s Day?

Before I proceed, let me tell you this SHOCKING TRUTH: Valentine’s Day should NOT be celebrated by Christians. In this post, let me share the reasons why this is so. Let me make it as simple as possible for everyone to understand. Here are the 10 reasons Christians should not celebrate Valentine’s Day. Reason no. 1: Valentine’s Day has pagan roots A quick look at any encyclopedia or history book will reveal that Valentine’s Day is an ancient Roman festival.

It is originally known as Lupercalia which is celebrated every February 15. Lupercalia is celebrated to honor not God, but pagan gods namely Lupercus (god of fertility), Juno (goddess of marriage and women) and Pan (god of nature). There is really nothing to argue about here.

fea tu re d Plain and simple: Valentine’s Day is rooted in paganism.

and does not want us to suffer unnecessary pain.

God calls paganism as ABOMINABLE and He strongly commands His people to stay away from it.

Though sexual immorality brings pleasure, it will not last long. When you consider its many dire consequences, you will soon realize that it’s not worth the risk.

God is very clear on this: “When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ You shall NOT worship the Lord your God in that way; for every abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall NOT add to it nor take away from it” (Deuteronomy 12:32). Reason no. 2: Bible says to flee sexual immorality “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (I Corinthians 6:1820).

Sexual immorality brings a lot of heartbreaks, diseases, and negative emotional and social problems. God loves us-

So what does sexual immorality has to do with Valentine’s Day? Lupercalia is celebrated with pagan sex rituals. It is about eroticism, lust, and fertility. God knows what’s best for us and He knows sexual immorality, like any other sins, leads to many untold suffering. As early as the fourth B.C., young men seek their sexual partner during the Lupercalia festival. By a “love” lottery, young men would be able to win the companionship and sexual service of a woman until the next year’s drawing. With these dark secrets of the origin of Valentine’s Day, you sure don’t want to be associated with it. God’s word is very clear with this and He wants us to flee sexual immorality. Reason no. 3: Christians are called to love, not to lust There is no doubt that the origin of Valentine’s Day involves strong infatuation and lust rather than genuine love.

There are a lot of unmarried couples who use Valentine’s Day as an excuse to participate in pre-marital sex. Often, this sexual act leads to unwanted and unplanned pregnancy. Sadly, some resorts to abortion just to “correct” their mistakes.

Reason no. 4: You can Celebrate Love without Valentine’s Day Why do so many Christians limit their love on a specific day, in this case, Valentine’s Day? Wouldn’t it be great to demonstrate your love every single day?

Married couples or those who are in a relationship can show their love and concern every day and not wait for Valentine’s Day to arrive. After all, even if you celebrate your love on Valentine’s Day, it really feels awkward since this day celebrates lust and not true love. Reason no. 5: NO one exactly knows who St. Valentine is Do a quick search on the Internet and see what you can find about St. Valentine. It is very weird because his story is based on LEGEND and not facts.

It is also unbiblical to revere a man. Some people think that we should pray to the saints as they can help bring our petitions to God. This is a satanic deception that we must all stop. Dead people are dead. They don’t anymore have the ability to help the living. First and foremost, dead people are dead. The Bible makes it clear that there is no knowledge in the grave (Ecclesiastes 9:10) and no one has ever ascended into heaven except Christ (John 3:13). Therefore, it is useless to have so-called “saints” canonized by the Roman Catholic Church.

fea tu re d Besides, if you are really a Christian, why celebrate Valentine’s Day which commemorates a saint of the Catholics? Reason no. 6: God’s definition of love differs from what Valentine’s Day promotes

The Biblical definition of love is this: “FOR THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. And His commandments are not burdensome” (I John 5:3). God’s definition of love is keeping His commandments. The commandments of God are there because He LOVES US. The commandments of God gives us the guidelines of how to have a fulfilling, blessed, and joyful love. Valentine’s Day is just the opposite. As Christians, it is our duty to please God rather than men. At this point, we need to stop and think. There is no doubt that Valentine’s Day is a pagan holiday turned “Christian”. It is a holiday consecrated and ordained by man, NOT God. In fact, God considers pagan holidays as abominable, detestable, futile, vain, and useless. - Who should we follow? God or man? - Whom should we please? God or man? - Who should we believe? God or man? Jesus Christ gave us the answer:

Jesus answered them, “How right Isaiah was when he prophesied about you! You are hypocrites, just as he wrote: These people, says God, honor me with their words, but their heart is really far away from me. It is no use for them to worship me, because they teach human rules as though they were my laws!’ “You put aside God’s command and obey human teachings” (Mark 9:6-8, GNB).

Reason no. 7: God is not impressed when He is worshiped with pagan holidays Why do we keep on insisting our own way? If you read the Bible, you will see the exact and proper manner how God wants to be worshiped. We need to stop and ask, “How does God want me to worship Him?” Rather than asking, “How do I want God to be worshiped?” After all, it is about God and not us. Why would you use something that God hates to worship Him? Jesus said: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH (John 4:24).

Ask yourself, “Is there any truth in Valentine’s Day?” “Does it help us to worship God in spirit?” The answers to these questions are a glaring “NO”. Valentine’s Day is nothing but a recycled pagan holiday repackaged with a “Christian” name. If you are going to give a gift to God, do you think He will be happy to receive something that He calls useless and abominable?

We need to be honest to answer these questions. Reason no. 8: Valentine’s Day leads to negative emotions Women, in general, are very emotional. If they don’t receive a gift on Valentine’s Day, they feel unloved. If ever they receive something on this day, they will feel proud.

Proud because they receive something better than what other women received. Unloved because they receive something worse than what other women received. Valentine’s Day is geared towards the way of getting rather than the way of giving.

Reason no. 9: God commands us not to conform to the world Like I said before, Valentine’s Day is a very popular holiday in the world. Why not? It caters to the lust of the very human nature that we have. However, God expects us Christians to overcome our human nature and be more like God and less like us. Reason no. 10: We are commanded to celebrate different Holy Days Surprising as it may sound, God commanded His people to celebrate His Feast Days. There are seven annual festivals that Christians should celebrate instead of borrowing holidays from pagans. They are written in Leviticus 23.

They are written in Leviticus 23. Please don’t assume that it is just for the Israelites because we can read that Jesus Christ, the Apostles, and early Christians celebrated them even many years after Jesus’ death.

This truly impacted my life, because being younger I felt as if I was abandoned, that though my dad was around, emotionally I 1 8felt as if he really abandoned the family- as a result it felt as if my heart was torn in two. This also brought my childhood to being very insecure, low self-esteem, afraid of losing anyone in my life especially my mother, and even “played sick” almost daily at school for attention. In spite of circumstances, DRIVE AND DETERMINATION remained. We live in a generation where these two factors are scarce. How did you get disciplined in this practice and how can one start? The one thing I came to realize was a scapegoat for all these situations was sports. I began to get involved in sports at the young age of 12. I began being part of a physical fitness group, track and field at my sister’s high school, though I was an 8th grader in junior high school. I began to let out any internal pain and frustrations by becoming a team member. Learning to embrace other cultures, races, and ages. Being part of a group that treated each other like family. We would push each other’s past our boundaries during practices and competitions. This began to create that DRIVE AND DETERMINATION that I forever hold dear in my heart. I began applying that in all aspects of my life. You speak about Divine revelation and transformation that drove you to want to walk into your purpose. Enlighten us about that journey? Right around July 2014 I knew that I was going to soon join NYPD and I knew it was God letting me go into that department for a reason. I had no idea that it was to deal with my character in depth. After getting into the academy in JAN 2015 even after being sworn in, I knew in my Spirit that this was temporary, though I didn’t know why. How can one know and operate in their purpose? If the internal process in our character is never done, then God has to let our purpose be delayed. Not because He doesn’t want you to know, but because we are not ready to neither receive it nor accept it. Only after an internal process- which renews our mind- is the way that our hearts can finally see and feel the desires that God has over our lives. Without that revelation we really can’t move forward. To operate in our purpose we need to first step back to intentionally work on our character, our hearts, and our perspective of everything that happens. Then and only then, doors begin to open that we didn’t apply for, ask for, or sometimes even prayed for.

When a Door opens you might start feeling unequipped and unprepared, but that’s where He is glorified, because the human part can only prepare up to a certain limit, but with Gods strength we surpass it all. You’ve recently been ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Did you always know you were called into the 5 hold ministry? I did not know whatsoever. What I did know and was reminded of it’s that for five years straight God had told me through three different individuals that I was called to pastoring and I clearly never believed it until the 3rd time. That third time was on OCTOBER 2016 after I had 9 months that I had resigned NYPD because God placed it in my heart. But, this time God revealed it publicly and with details that only God and I knew from my intimate prayer time at home. I wholeheartedly didn’t want any title, position, ministry, or anything, because I was back to my first LOVEGOD alone, but I also knew then that my LIFE was NOT my own. I was ready to submit to His plans because of the journey I had just gone through. It’s said that women are not called to be Ministers. What’s your take on that? I am the type of Minister that agree that Men should be and always be the covering of every single woman in ministry. I don’t ever want to be in any leadership position without a covering. It was one of my many revelations during my journey from 2014-2016. I also understood that in this day and time God calls and chooses woman because some men have not owned up nor step up to their calling or are afraid to because of their passivity , therefore God uses woman to rise like a Deborah (see the book of Judges).

"When a door opens you might start feeling unequipped and unprepared, but that’s where He is glorified, because the human part can only prepare up to a certain limit, but with Gods strength we surpass it all."

Though quickly after that 3rd confirmation from the LORD my senior pastor announced he will be ordaining a few individuals, I still told him I am willing because God speaks through him but that I forever want to stay under His covering and the church’s covering. I need to know I am always under Gods established order and after understanding the amazing value men have in our world for the Kingdom, I want to always and always uplift them to take their mandated place. Even if that would mean me having to just be the encourager- I’m ok with that because it’s our God given design and I learned how to embrace it. What can you tell those who know are called but have fear and anxiety? That just like them, I was there too. I feared every moment of stepping out of the comfort zone and into the unknown. I battled anxiety for all the other situations that were going on in my life and still trying to serve the Kingdom. I will say please be aware that FEAR & ANXIETY are the devils plans over your life to paralyze you! He has no hold of you unless you let him. I intentionally read books, aside of the bible to help me calm my anxiety, I fasted, rebuked it, and no longer a slave to it. I came to the realization that if God says in His word “DO NOT BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING..” then I must not be, and I have to learn how not to be. But be INTENTIONAL. What are the challenges and opportunities you’ve encountered since your ordination? A lot of criticism in and out of the church, rejection in and out of the church. Why because we are dealing with people from all sort of backgrounds, beliefs, mentality, and upbringing. But, you can’t blame them and just love on them. Jesus went through worse so I expected the same things will happen.

I just focused on the Kingdom and trying to always look at the other people as merciful as my Father would look at them. So I think to myself “HOW DOES THE FATHER SEE THEM?” You are the founder of the ministries “RADIANT WOMAN INTERNATIONAL and INNER RADIANCE DESIGNS. Tell us more about that? Radiant woman int was born out of what I call the “CAVE TIME” after NYPD where God had to show me that woman are living a lie each and every day by living a life God didn’t intend for them to live. Therefore I bring out to the surface the awareness of BOLDLY EMPOWERING, the renewing of their mind and not being imprisoned to the reasoning of this world. Inner radiance Design derived from the same idea, though it’s for men and women. But it’s an interior design business yes but with a twist. Focusing on any renovation, or design the person may need but making sure it’s ministering to their inner being, their heart, and their soul. Why? Because everything that enters our soul would be manifested. When consulting someone for a design, I always ask if they would allow me to choose quotes, verses, or phrases for them that I see fit their need. Whether it be battling depression, self-esteem etc. I choose according to their need and then we make sure those internal goals and visions are written at plain sight, so that he or she who sees it may run, which means may act upon it, as the Word of God encourages for us to do since Faith is dead without works.

How important is it for women to be whole internally and physically? Extremely important. Woman need to learn how to have a balance in their life. Why, because we tend to be the “do it all” woman. We can fall into the traps of forgetting the I in us. Marriage, children, career, business, ministry, and more would come out way therefore a healthy body will help us run the race, but an internal solid foundation sustains us. What legacy are you working towards to leave for your descendants? I am working on a legacy that reminds all future generations that going back to Gods original plan at the beginning it’s key to live a life content in all seasons of our lives. If we focus on the original plan and our calling as an individual and the Kingdom of God everything will truly flourish correctly from that core before the fall. So in a few words my legacy would be to: always live out the original plan of God over our lives and to always keep our heart humble before Him because He is LORD of our lives. Which country and Minister if opportune would you love to minister alongside? Currently my desire is to truly visit and minister at the State of Texas alongside Priscilla Shirer and Td Jakes would be more than an honor. If I was to choose a country I would say ministering back to my own country Dominican Republic, to give back to my home country and serve them with knowing the true living God. Spiritually and physically 2020 is? Sisters International it’s a movement that my biological sister Angely Rojas, Pro bikini fitness competitor, founded together in 2019, where we bring awareness of true sisterhood internationally, whereas sisters that are opposites we’ve learned to embrace each other’s differences. And alongside we focus on unleashing the outer and inner you. Just recently in Jan 25th we had our annual event called “retake your life.” Retaking the control of the physical body but also inwardly their mind, will, and soul. Love and unity seems to be lacking in the Body Of Christ. How can the Church go back to this very important commandment found in 1 John 2v7? We, at Thessalonica church, where I serve, we believe the key thing it’s to end any divisions that may be going on within the body immediately, to run to forgiveness, and run back to the cross to repent, and start over with His mercy.

We need to continue staying at His feet and in that way we can be slower to not judge but to give new chances to people. How can we walk in holiness and purity in this perverse world? I believe it’s all about perspective. If you realize that the focus and the most Important journey, it’s your journey to your calling, you would want to do one thing and that is OBEY the Word of God. And yes it might be easier said than done, but it starts with falling in LOVE with GOD. Have a relationship with GOD, and when we finally LOVE Him we push to OBEY Him at ALL COST. Define this verse to us: “And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple” Luke 14:27. The best way I can define the verse found in Luke 14:27 it’s by sharing an example to understand it. When I left NYPD many of my own family members were very upset for me leaving “such a good job and career.” Many criticized, gossiped and furthermore my whole circle sort of did. But I understood this was the price to pay to truly wholeheartedly follow Jesus as I said I would.. I knew that if I am openly willingly to be radical for Him, even to the point of becoming unemployed to see His fruits over my life, then I had to bear with the high price to pay. Now, if Jesus paid with His life, I know we must be ready to do the same. When we truly decide to follow Jesus we must be willing to go above and beyond what we can’t even imagine just like He did for us, and only then we become true followers of Christ. If Jesus were to visit you for one day, what would you say to Him and how would you spend the rest of the day with Him? I would say THANK YOU for saving me from my messed up life, thank you for transforming my life around, thank you for loving me besides all my shortcomings. Thank you for your grace and faithfulness though I do not deserve them. The rest of the day I would probably continue repeating all of the above, but letting Him lead the way in a God-Guided SPECIAL DATE. A date with my Abba, my daddy. Somewhere along I would ask Him if we can stop for coffee please.

There is POWER IN THE NAME of Jesus Christ, share with someone who doesn’t seem to grasp that exactly? There is POWER in the name of JESUS CHRIST, the best way I can help anyone explain it , it’s that if it wasn’t BY JESUS CHRIST I wouldn’t be here. I should’ve been dead, ill, with all kinds of situations, maybe three kids and no father, abused and far beyond my imagination of destroyed. But the Power of God, through His people, through preachers preaching His word, through experiences where you see His power, is the way we get to feel in our heart that HE is truly calling us, reaching out for us, and ready to change our live.

Advice to the youth of the world? My advice to the youth of the world is to: seek God now in your youth while He can be found. Know your identity in Christ so that anything that it’s not aligned to His word you can have the courage to remove from your life.

Jesus doesn’t call the qualified but qualifies the called”. How has this truth impacted your life? This truth has impacted my life because when I look at my path, history and present it doesn’t make sense. The fact that by the age of 13 I was being dawn to the world and began a clubbing life for years where my void was being filled by this world and then by mid 20s I was in leadership serving in ministry, it made no sense.

How can people get in touch with you and your ministry? People can get in touch with me by emailing: MarlynsReflection@gmail.com or Radiantwomaninternational@gmail.com . I am alsos available through DM on instagram , username MarlynsReflection.

I would’ve never thought that I had anything to do with God, and nevertheless ministry. I was never qualified; always felt I knew nothing of the Word, never felt in any way ready. But I began to intentionally study, seek Him, and push myself. Then I realized because of the effort I put, God places His mighty strength in you to do more, because in our weaknesses He glorifies Himself. What messages do you have to the Church, regarding the end times and especially this “NEW AGE GOSPEL”? My message to the church, regarding end times and especially this new age gospel” is to stay prayerful and watchful. It’s not the time to play around with God and His Kingdom. We are facing tough times and they will only get worse. Make sure you and the church are spreading the gospel in every way possible and that you are pleasing the Lord at heart.

When people hear the name Marlyn. What do you want them to know? I want them to know that she Reflected Christ in all she did. That she Reflected He who saved her and changed her life around. Her Lord and Saviour.

Last words and plans for 2020? Excited to be in the transition of editing my first book and writing a second one. Working on individually continuous growth for Him alone and His kingdom and in expectancy with the many promises He has given me, but all at His time.

Have a relationship with GOD, and when we finally LOVE Him we push to OBEY Him at ALL COST

According to Your Word Message taken from Matthew 6:13 (NLT) Matthew 6:13 (NLT):"And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one." Have you ever looked at precise instructions such as this one, and asked yourself, "how can this happen in my life?" Praise God, His Word is full of answers! There's clear direction answering this question, set out in Psalm 119:9 which says, "How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed and keeping watch [on himself] according to Your word [conforming his life to it]." In other words, it's educating ourselves in the ways of God, from studying His Word that's going to keep us from evil! Why? Because then, those things that are contrary to His ways, with the help of the Holy Spirit, will be easy to detect. This works exactly the same when it comes to recognising real, solid truth from relative or subjective "truth". If we are going to stay on the cutting edge of God's will, we must diligently keep watch over our thoughts, the things we say, and the things we do. We must make sure they line up with God's ways. This can only happen when we have purposed to know what His Word says, and apply its timeless wisdom to our lives. That's how we refuse to yield to temptation and stay well clear of evil!

DON’T LIMIT GOD! Jessica Wilde shares how to overcome writer's block. Story on p. 20

It is a blessing to be content with where God has us currently, however we should never grow too comfortable with our current season because at any time God can and will move us to align us to purpose for His will and for His glory. We must check every area of our lives to see if we have truly surrendered to God. Abraham loved God, but he was comfortable with where he was and God told Him, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you” ( Genesis 12:1). Although the Bible didn’t say it, I’m sure it was uncomfortable for Abraham to travel so far with his family to a foreign land, however, he had faith in God and obeyed Him. Abraham did not limit God to be a God who could only supply his needs in his current destination. He believed that God could supply him for eternity.

As a result of Abraham’s obedience, God blessed Abraham and those attached to him tremendously. He told Abraham, “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all people on earth will be blessed through you” Genesis 12:2-3). Abraham’s obedience to God’s will for his life sprung forth numerous victories.

However, the victories were obtained because Abraham was okay with being uncomfortable for God, he was okay with traveling for miles to please God and he was okay with crucifying his flesh for God’s glory. Most of all, Abraham did not limit God in any area of His life, therefore he was able to walk in supernatural blessings on earth.

Abraham could have said to God, he’s pleased with his current location, but the Bible says Abraham, “Obeyed.” We can all walk in supernatural blessings, but in order to obtain them we cannot limit the God who gives them to us. Whenever God instructs us, we must be obedient , because it is in our obedience, we gain the victory. God knows exactly what He’s doing, so we need to trust Him to lead the way. Our blessings are awaiting, but first we must take the limits off a limitless God.

When Good Gifts (Like Marriage) Distract Us from God The Dangers of Distraction The not yet married today live in the most technologically advanced generation in history. That means we also live in the most connected generation and therefore likely the most distracted one. Distraction has always threatened faith in Jesus—long before cable television, the first iPhone, and Candy Crush.

Jesus said that some will hear the word of God, “but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature” (Luke 8:14). Still today, every distraction—good or bad—could probably be given one of those three labels: cares, riches, or pleasures. The three are different, but Jesus warned us that each has the power to distract us from him, blind us to his worth, and deafen us to his Word. In that way, distractions can decide our destinies. As Christians, we are the happy, hope-filled, and strange people who “look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal” (2 Cor. 4:18). But there’s just so much to see in this world! Another movie, another football game, another fashion trend, another app. All the cares, riches, and -

pleasures make it easy to forget the unseen and to settle for far less. The things that distract us are not necessarily bad in themselves. If God is our treasure, his glory our mission, and his Word our guide, we can enjoy all his gifts to the full.

Christ The @ Center

Scriptures: Philippians 1:19-21 “For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Romans 8:38 & 39 “For I am, neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” Before the beginning began, Christ was there, all we see was made through Him. Paul wrote the above scripture (Philippians) in prison, He was at the point of death, all because of preaching Christ. In pains yet he still exalted this Christ. He knew and understood that Christ is the center of it all. He did not blame Him for his imprisonment, neither did he stop to preach the gospel. This teaches us that, Christ remains Christ even when things go wrong. You being sick, unemployed, rejected and all other negative things must not shift your focus from Christ. In tribulations we exalt Christ, in joy He is still the King, lack or abundance give glory to God. We might not be where/what we want to be, but that cannot separate us from the love of God. We shall stand and make Him the center of it all. Have faith in God and know Him for Who He is, not only for what He does and nothing will ever move you. I know my God heals, but even if am not healed He is still God. He moves mountains, but even if nothing moves now, He remains God. Be more interested in knowing Him, who does all these things than the things He does. When you have Him, then you have all these things. Make Christ the center of it all today…!

The Bible says in the book of John: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

WELCOME TO THE WORKPLACE, LORD.

Lord, am I the only one here who gets You today?

by: Heidi Krumenauer

The work has a way of taking a toll on everyone. Universally, it appears the office environment is all the same – backstabbing, rumor mills, brown-nosing the boss, pushing to get ahead. It’s a wonder any work gets accomplished with all the extracurricular activity among the worker bees.

conflict, arrogance, nastiness and general tension among my coworkers. I had pushed through the day, counting down the hours to call it a week, and I was looking forward to spending the rest of the evening at home with my husband and boys. I secluded myself from the office activities long enough to pray:

It had been a particularly grueling day with a high level of anxiety,

Lord, am I the only one here who gets You today? Do these people even know you exist?

And if they do, can you please help them see what a mess they are making of my day? I felt very alone – very isolated from people who show kindness and compassion to each other — Christian people. God knew I needed to feel some inclusion again, so He made the drive home an interesting one.

FEATURED

Just a mile from the office, I pulled up behind a car with the license plate “1ST PRAY”. Once on the Interstate, I changed lanes and ended up behind a car sporting “13 COR 13” (Corinthians 13:13 – “… the greatest of these is love.”) I was starting to see God’s message in the traffic. A couple miles up the road, a truck pulled in the lane ahead of me – his bumper sticker said: “Jesus Saves”. In the lane next to him, a car displayed the ichthus (fish). OK, God, I prayed. It’s very clear. Even when I don’t always see it, I’m surrounded by You and people who love You. I continued to thank God for providing such a clear visual for me. But in my prayer, I wondered how many days I, too, act in an unpleasant manner, just like my co-workers were doing that day? How many times do others wish they could count on me to provide a Christ-like environment, but I don’t offer them one? Were there days my co-workers also felt isolated from kindheartedness, and I was a reason for their pain? In 1 Peter 3:8 NASB, he lists the characteristicsmof a believer as “… harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit.” I knew how badly I felt that day at work, existing in an environment that reflected none of these qualities. Exodus 23:2 says: You shall not follow the masses in doing evil ...” And I was sure I had. For years I’ve driven around with my own ichthus on the trunk, proudly showing other drivers there’s a Christian behind the wheel of my car. And while it gives the impression they’re sharing road space with someone who -

loves the Lord, it’s not enough. People need, and deserve, to see more than a sign of Christianity. They need to see Christians living it daily. "For, the one who desiresmlife, to love and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. He must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and his ears attend to their prayer, ..." (1 Peter 3:10-12 NASB) Lord, help us all to give you full reign over our lives so your righteousness and love flow through our beings. Flood our workplaces and everywhere we go with the calming influence of Your Spirit. Amen.

Forgiveness Text: Matthew 6:14-15 “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

A. The last lesson of 2019, it comes a few days before we entered into the new year, I know that for most the people this was a time when they were updating or drafting their NEW YEAR’S resolutions. B. Not only does it close the year, but it also puts to rest the theme of the quarter THE WAY TO TRUE HAPPINESS ,LIFE AND HOPE which was adopted from the sermon on the mount Matthew 5-7, a very lengthy and insightful sermon preached by our Lord Jesus Christ C. A sermon that teaches that if we are to be blessed in the year 2020, we need to manifest all the beatitudes: > We have learned that we need to be perfect as our Father I heaven is in, > We learned that seeking the kingdom of God first will be peaceful for us, > We now know that His Words are the rock in our lives, even when things are bad, we can always rely on His Word. > We have learned that in the new year we have to ask and seek from God because He is constantly listening to us > We now know that we need to incorporate fasting in our lives whether as a church or individuals, because prayer works efficiently with fasting in 2020 > Now we understand better that making an oath means I intend to keep it , if not I should not make it at all, > We also know that in 2020 our nature as Christians should be visible to our neighbors and the community at large as a church > Most importantly blessing comes when we actively live out our faith.

Jesus was hinting certain aspects about prayer not that people knew nothing about prayer, but He was correcting certain tendencies on prayer Matthew 6:5-13. Where does forgiveness begin a) Even in the Old Testament atonement was a sacrifice that took place to ask God for forgiveness of sins Leviticus 4;20,26 b) With that being said the old covenant had to do with vengeance rather than forgiveness a lot (when someone omitted an offence they would be stoned) c) We see forgiveness unfolding in the work of grace or the scheme of redemption, hence we see Christ being empathic on the forgiveness through His blood Matthew 26:28 “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” d) With the death of Jesus there is no offense that can never be forgiven by God that is how grace operates. He is able to wipe the slate clean because God is love and if we sincerely ask, He forgives Ephesians 1;7 read What forgiveness means for us ( When praying for forgiveness) a) Verse 12 “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtor b) In our prayers when we petition God to be forgiving of our debts Matthew 6:12, we need to be willing to forgive others for trespassing against us c) Debtors – is a moral sense indicating the obligation to a righteous life we owe God (as people of God we an obligation to live righteously for God ,but we fail on a daily basis),we fail under our christianship to be good people so we sin against God d) In our prayers due to our failures we petition God for forgiveness, this is us going to God and asking that we realize we fall short so He must forgive our shortcomings Matthew 6:14 “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you a) Trespasses – can be considered as falling /committing an offence /sinning

b) Jesus teaches this with the knowledge that Jews were people who were vengeful, they would not easily forgive (The new covenant was that of peace and forgiveness (so Christ would teach forgiveness the woman caught in adultery ,under the law she was to die ,bur Christ says when she deserves death under the old law. We all do because let us look at ourselves if we are sinless then let us kill her John 7:53-8:11) c) He says whatever offence against us we need to be forgiving (we offend one another in many ways but He says there is no big offence that is unforgivable) d) These are the conditions of our forgiveness: i. Vengeance leads to chaos (we serve a God of order not of chaos) ii. Forgiveness leads to peace with God iii. Forgiveness leads to peace with men iv. When we are forgiven by God peace is available and we live our lives knowing that we have mercy at our disposal at all times hence we need to extend the same courtesy to others who around us e) Ephesians 4;32 “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you: i. We have to be able to recognize that grace is because of one man on our behalf so when we offer forgiveness is not only for us but for the next person too ii. You see God did not offer forgiveness so that he might feel better (we have a tendency of saying it for you, you forgive, that is true, but it is also for the person you forgive) iii. God forgave us because He had Love, when I think of love I think of the following; a. Compassion, Mercy, Grace, Peace, most importantly I think God’s nature b. When He sent us Christ to come and die, His concern was more on our remission than our offences (because had He concentrated on our offences, we would have died, because our offences say we deserve punishment) c. When we forgive truly we need to grieve or mourn for the sins of your brother rather-

i. And if we have the tendency of saying this was the last time Christ says we should forgive each other 77 times 7 Matthew 18:22 ii. We are an extension of God so Love comes as part of the package, WE INHERIT THESE BEAUTIFUL ATTITUDES FROM GOD HENCE WE NEED TO LEARN FROM HIM c. We need to admit that forgiveness is not as easy as we speak of it bur here Christ says we shall be forgiven if we also forgive ; 1. Sometimes when we are hurt, we become protective the next time someone hurts us again and we live our lives avoiding peace with each other because of matters pending Hebrews 12:14 “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Remember blessed are the peace makers for they shall see God 2. Forgiveness makes that promise of seeing good a possibility if we maintain good relations with each other through forgiveness, it prevents the end of relationships) 3. If we are hurt, we can forgive but the scars will remain as reminder what we suffered, and we should avoid letting others suffer at our actions or words 4. How you relate with other depends on you not on them, Romans 12:17-19 read

YOURS IN CHRIST PASTOR BONGANI GAMA

FORGIVENESS

than focusing on the offence and what it does to you) hence Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted and in this case the comfort will be from the fact that you love and have mercy on your brother d. Compassion always bothers itself with the next person rather than self

It's Your Choice Message taken from 1 John 5:18 (KJV) 1 John 5:18 (KJV): "We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not." Have you ever wondered why old sinful habits keep tripping you up, preventing you from moving forward in God's blessing? Or why you are unable to grow in the spiritual things of God? The Bible says we canbecome well skilled in the Word of righteousness, and spiritually mature to discern what is of God, and what is not. The plain truth is we are only as spiritually mature as wedesireto be. In the natural, when we want to achieve a goal, we do EVERYTHING in our power to succeed. Imagine if we used this same tenacity to grow ourselves in the things of a God? 2 Peter 1:3 says "God's divine power has givenus everything needed for fullness of life and godliness, through the full, personal knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence." Because we are born of God, sin has no power over us. We can turn our backs on the devil and diligently pursue knowing God and His ways. This gives the devil no grounds to touch us, and even if he tried, he would come short every time. Decide to put your past behind, pursue God with all your heart and His power within you - will cause you to overcome.
