gathered in Sabah Al Salem’s Sheikh Saad Al Abdallah Sports Complex to compete in the latest edition of the Red Bull Half Court Kuwait. The event, which saw the qualifying round and the national final take place back-to-back, brought together teams of three to battle it out in a unique streetball format, with a fastpaced undertone and a small window of time to score. With a solo basketball hoop to shoot in, this demanded a whole new way of strategizing and playing the game.

The event, which saw the qualifying round and the national final take place back-to-back, brought together teams of three to battle it out in a unique streetball format, with a fast-paced undertone and a small window of time to score. With a solo basketball hoop to shoot in, this demanded a whole new way of strategizing and playing the game.
In partnership with Aqua Eva, Spalding, Fila, and McDavid, this year’s Red Bull Half Court Kuwait edition also debuted its female category, which did not disappoint when it came to living up to the tournament’s intensity and grueling matches. The team that came out victorious were On Point against Phoenix and Defenders won against team High Voltage. As for the winning team from the female category, team Defenders snagged the win against team On Point.
After matches that showcased the true spirit of streetball, the winning teams solidified their place in the September world finals in Serbia, where they will represent Kuwait and compete against talents from over 30 other countries, in the hopes of winning the grand prize and being crowned the Red Bull Half Court Champions.
The 3v3 basketball tournament tips off in five continents worldwide. With 15,000 expected participants in 2023, Red Bull Half Court is the world’s most global streetball tournament.
