Passero, is a playful personal snack bowl designed especially for
the purpose of Office Snacking. A beautiful object which brings meaning to our work environment controlled through our desks in a surrounding of perching shreds of paper and office articles. A metaphorical representation of childhood memories has been transformed into a playful object to combat the presence of ugly technical office articles and the absent respect for snacking while w o r k i n g .
Passero respects that desire answered through beauty and mean-
ing & offers an interesting opportunity to enjoy those moments. It intends to make a proposition towards work related anxiety in the changed office environments where small morsels consumed in the spirit of Slow Consumption will help us draw away from the snack 'grubbing' by allowing snack 'nibbling'. Almost a literal translation of the 'nibbling' of food which is the
nature of snacks and birds, Passero wants to change that 'Bowl' into a beautiful idea always in front of you. A beautiful suggestion of a bird sitting on your desk, but who knows what it has brought you inside!!

Office environments are inhibitive to lead a normal paced life...rush and run...and a pa pile of work load, leading nowhere else el than anxious..panicky self. Curbing which many succumb C to ‘Grub’ over ‘Eat’. A normal act of snacking becomes frustratingly indulgent, escaping the objective of deriving pleasure from that humble consumption.

The Context of Office: While sitting in the office, we sometimes wonder what are we doing inside?... missing all the pleasures of Nature, which are outside...Passero is the offering to provide that solace by bringing small beauty to your desk. An idea of a Sparrow which has just arrived from outside on your desk to offer you something...something that you like and hold personal unlike a Lunch which you share and eat with others... The Context of Childhood Memories: From the distant memory, the reminiscent idea from our childhood of feeding Sparrows, who are loved for being small and next to 'live toys' kind of animals...they are our childhood friends and embedded in our memory for the first beautiful animal we confronted and we loved...it is the agility of a sparrow more than those small stature wrapped in a bulging curve of its body, that astonishes all of us, even now!! They are adored characters despite the idea of age...and that's why they are significant. The Context of Eating: In a metaphorical sense, Passero derives the idea of being your office snack companion with the small bits of chunks that birds consume (nibble), so much in praise to the Slow Food Philosophy, of "Good Consumption". Passero, is a figurative idea of that act of nibbling, which is sincerely considered to be seriously effective in Consumption Patterns. There need be a game of 'Hide & Seek' to be made with our food, because the more we tend to eat ALL what we SEE!! And this unconscious behaviour has become our Habit...leading to succumb to grub ALL to combat work anxiety... It is so common that we do not notice but still continue in numerous unnoticeable ways. A simple act of Eating for Pleasure gets transformed into Consumption of Food!! This attitude has been circling offices for long time...without any modest solution...Passero, intends to occupy space there. It has not been designed to begin absolute or complete change in our habits but through a small intervention conveyed through the form of the bowl, the intention is to make us aware of deriving Pleasure besides nutrition from food. The act of PLAY through 'Hide & Seek' works to remind each time we nibble to consume WELL and not MORE. In simple words, it is PLEASURE derived through PLAY. The Context of the Product Offering: Passero, breaks the mundane surrounding of our office articles by providing a happy style of eating snacks where you enjoy your personal morsel with utmost satisfaction in the playful secrecy as desired... This slight privacy of eating has been combined with the playful character of 'Hide & Seek' behaviour with your food by its hood, which signifies Slow Consumption as you open and close it!! The Context of the Office Snacking: The changed work environment has changed a lot in the patter we consume...the availability of work all the time round has made us stuck to the computer screens for long hours. And this further has resulted in bringing our food table in parts to our work desks...the growing culture of Snacking is a need more than just a desire!! But there are still no products available in the market which looks to satisfy that need...we still bring our kitchen utensils in our offices, the same bowls...which are meant to be used in the dining rooms are dragged into newer environments...And this is simply outrageously unaesthetic show of the lacunae!! Long ago we realized that we need newer specialized objects for this need, objects which are not just Functional but Emotional too...much in sync to the contemporary spirit of a simple act of Consumption. How it works: Passero, is imagined to be a system which will grace the walls of Office Kitchenettes beautifully as a Nest with birds. Nest which is a holder to the birds.
