A Letter to the Minister of Tourism, Government of India, in kind proposal to initiate the INDIA CULTURAL CENTER in Milan, Italy. Dear Madam I am a professional student in Milan and have been here for the past two years in the midst and the thick of the city. My personal request to forward this proposal as a proud citizen of India is to open an INDIA CULTURAL CENTER in Milan. Like other cultures who have fastidiously realized to come near to people through their own cultural centers, India is in an emergent position to make its mark through the approach of bringing a physical TOUCH POINT to Milan. There are already a Brazil Cultural center, a Chinese Cultural Center, although more or less in the BRIC terminology, India seems to be missing!! Despite the fact that people have respect for this nation incomparable to other nations, people do not have a direct access to the resources which India cultural center like organization could provide. I have personally been related to the links of India within Milan for the past 2 years with my activities ranging from Teaching Hindi in the University of Milan to organizing a cultural event on India showcasing the Indian culture through its food/photo gallery/dance and music on June 16th, 2010, exchanging resources with professors studying Sanskrit / Hindi here in Milan and all through those conversations, I came to conclude that a physical place as a knowledge center on India is a necessity now. In the acute shortage of time for presenting this idea (in impromptu), I am unable to explain in detail towards the deeply felt need for such a place much concerning to the oft talked topic with the Consular General of India in Milan, Mr. Chakrovorty on the need of such a physical touch point. Although I will appreciate if given a chance to present in elaboration the whole project, I may well be honoured to do so.

In my capacity to realize I have managed to make a LOGO IDENTITY for such a proposal. Within my creative limits this has to be termed as a teaser towards the proposal. Although I will be privileged to conceive and if possible realize such a humble idea into reality. I have often seen this more passionately and thus this impromptu proposal appeared to me the best possibility to approach. I will be delighted and honored to hear on this. Thanking you. Best Regards.
