The SEVC workshops and laboratories adhere strictly to the ethical oversight directions and approval under Spanish regulations in their use of live animals. The number of animals used is always minimal. Every effort is made to avoid situations and procedures that would cause anxiety and pain in the animals, and appropriate sedation and analgesia are used whenever necessary. No animal will be euthanised to meet the needs of any SEVC workshop.
