Please provide a brief history of the company: The 215 Holding Co. purchased the First American State Bank Brownsdale location in 1993 and the Austin branch was purchased in 1998 from TCF Bank. As an entire company, there are 16 First Farmers & Merchants Banks in Minnesota. How many employees do you have? 17 between our Austin and Brownsdale locations. Several of them work regularly between both locations which provides a great sense of teamwork and service to our customers. Tell us a little about your business. We offer lending for agriculture, consumers, commercial, and mortgages along with a suite of digital products to manage your finances.

What are some of the new things your business is doing? Since fraud has become more and more prevalent, we have an app called Card Valet which allows debit card holders to turn their debit card ON or OFF and also receive notifications when their card has been used for any purpose. It puts control back into the consumers’ hands at the touch of a button.
What are you most proud to tell customers, and why? We Believe in You. It’s more than just our motto, it is how we approach every aspect of the financial services we offer to our customers, along with the commitment of ownership to keep First Farmers & Merchants a local Community Bank.
What sets you apart from other companies, and why? Our employees, Why because we all believe in the Community Bank experience. A Bank dedicated to serving the community not only through providing an excellent customer experience, but through community involvement and support as well. What are your goals for the upcoming year? Continuing to build our customer base. We strive to be the best in the area when it comes to serving all our customer’s financial needs.
