Schieck, DDS Please provide a brief history of the company: I started practicing in Austin in 1990 after nine years in Arizona. My first twenty years I practiced at 810 W. Oakland Ave NW in Austin. In 2010 I built my current office at 607 18th Avenue NW in Austin.
What sets you apart from other companies and why? Other companies don’t have my staff. I have a great group of people who I believe love their work which is helping people, everyday access dental care which equates to healthier lives.
How many employees do you have? 8. We just added four new employees!

Tell us a little about your business. What are your specialties? We are a family dental practice in two ways. In one way we literally are a family practice in that my son Dr. Tucker Schieck has joined us. But more importantly, we are a family practice in that we serve the dental needs of the whole family from preventative to restorative. Our specialty is customer service. What are some of the new things your business is doing? What are you most proud to tell customers, and why? We are always looking for ways either through technology or by technique to make the dental visit a comfortable experience. We also try as much as possible to have our services be patient driven versus doctor driven. Other than the usual services you might expect from a dental office, we also do facial cosmetic procedures Botox and filler injectables. We treat Sleep Apnea with oral sleep appliances and we can treat cold sores with laser. Very nice services, all of them.

What are your goals for the upcoming year? We just doubled our staff size so getting all our new employees totally engaged in great patient service is goal #1.
