About Will I am fully committed, give 110%, and very driven. I have grown up with football, my father, an FA coach, also had a long playing career - Chelsea Youth, semiprofessional in excess of 20 yrs, continues to play and has run/coached both men’s and youth teams. He is American and as a result it is my first country of choice to live and study in.

In 2011 I was fortunate to be nominated by my school to attend a series of engineering master classes at Imperial College London. Since then I have been inspired by engineering and would like to pursue this avenue in the form of a degree in structural engineering with architecture or similar.
Why America? I have found that the US college system allows students to combine serious development of their athletic talent and abilities with their academic studies and provides the environment to excel in both.

Interview
What makes you different to other athletes? Absolute commitment. From experience, many teammates do not manage to maintain commitment consistently, particularly when not physically in competition. Since finding out about the opportunity to go to America, I have begun gym classes with a personal trainer, who has also put me on a football-specific diet, with a resultant increase in fitness and stamina. College goals? My two main goals at present are to maintain my academic record to ensure that I get the best opportunities for my further education while continuing to develop both my football skills and fitness to ensure that I perform to my optimum ability, both as player and team member. I want to take every opportunity to progress my football to the highest possible level, whilst continuing my academic development. Life goals? My main goal is to play football at the highest level possible, ideally as a professional player. Being passionate about the sport, I aim to play for as long as possible and progress as far as I can, further continuing to give back to the sport by training and helping younger athletes as they progress. However, given that football has a finite term for players, I will continue to develop my interest in science and engineering as a second element of my skill base for later life.
