Achievements:
In 2007 and 2008 I won the National Championship in Belgium with my team. We also won the European Cup in Bulgaria. In 2008 I received the award of Most Valuable Player. In 2011 I received the award of Best Batter and in 2012 I received the award of Best Batter and Best Rookie. In 2011 we ended 9th at the Senior European Championship in Italy where I was starting catcher.
When I was 16 I started to play in the Netherlands in the first team which plays in the highest division of the Netherlands. I am still playing on that team as starting catcher.

Interview
What makes you different to other athletes? I am a person who never gives up, I keep trying until I get it right. I am never satisfied with good or fine, I always want to do things perfectly. Perfection is a thing I pursue in life but I am aware of the fact that it is not possible every minute of every the day. I am down to earth and aware of my abilities or disabilities but on the field i always act like i can do anything. My coach always taught me to fake it until you make it and that's a saying I truly pursue. The same counts for my academic life, I never give up until I completely understand it. My parents always told me to never be satisfied with a 7 while you can have a 10, to never be satisfied with hitting a single while you can hit a homerun. So the difference between me and others is that when I really want something I will do anything to achieve it. When I really commit to something I will keep trying until it's near to perfect.
College Goals Academics: graduate in Law or Criminology. Softball: I want to learn as much as I can, work hard and do great things on the field with my team. My biggest dream would be playing in the World Series with my team and achieve great things there.
Life Goals My parents always told me to be as awesome as you can possibly be. So in everything I do in life, I try to live up to that saying with softball, with school and as a person. You can do a lot of things in life but life means nothing until you get the most out of it. So most of all, I just want to be able to look back at my life as meaningful and complete.
