THE GOOD

The Tokyo Olympics were a major highlight of 2021 for me, I was lucky enough to have the chance to be one of the first surfers to ever represent the US in the Olympics which made the experience extremely special. After not competing for a full year in 2020 I have a new appreciation for surfing and getting back into a jersey again. Being able to travel and compete with the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour in 2021 was absolutely amazing!

THE ADD

My two major surfing goals are winning a World Title on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour and a Gold Medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics! My personal goals challenge me to be the best version of myself and as a surfer. These on-going goals give me constant motivation, pushing me to work harder everyday to hopefully achieve them.

THE BUZZ

In 2022 I will be competing in the Pipeline and Teahupo’o events for the first time, which is pretty special! Having these events on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour is a huge moment in women’s surfing that will continue to push the boundaries of the sport for generations to come!

THE GOOD

I am grateful to say that it truly was one of the best years of my life! I went deeper in my meditations and connection to the True Self, so that I feel lighter and more peaceful than I ever have. I spent a lot of quality time with my husband and two young sons, and we bought a farm in Hawaii that we are converting into a cacao farm! When we are there (we are back and forth to California) we really just spend time in nature, swimming in the waterfalls and eating guavas!

I turned in my manuscript for my new book, which I am passionate about because I believe it contains important information to help people on their journeys. I grew as a human enormously, and I have loved holding space for our online community, the Solluna Circle.

THE ADD

2021 was a big restructuring year for my brand, Solluna. We reorganized our website, warehouse, customer service structure and beyond. In 2022 we are super excited to launch more products, including our highly anticipated Fertility, Pregnancy and Postpartum Holistic Mama courses!

THE BUZZ

My new book, You Are More Than You Think You Are: Practical Enlightenment for Everyday Life, launched this month. The information in this book can help so many people overcome the negative beliefs and emotional blocks that hold them back from tapping into the infinite potential and joy within all of us.

It’s the first time I’m sharing my full playbook on creating your best life ever in all areas - love, abundance, confidence and being fearless.

THE GOOD

I consider 2021 the “Year of COVID Clarity.” People left unfulfilled jobs; new health practices were adopted; hobbies (and even homes) were restored; and my favorite - dress codes became relaxed. Say YES to the yoga pants! While the pandemic brought a great deal of pain to so many, it also brought purpose, inspiring us all to sharpen our focus on the people and practices that matter most.

THE ADD

Unlike any other sport/industry, golf experienced a surge during the pandemic. Joining record numbers of newcomers and enthusiasts who socially distanced on golf courses, I began golf lessons in 2021. Working for a golf organization, I consistently felt the pressure to learn and vowed that I would be ready for the links by year-end. Year-end 2022 is going to be the year! Maybe 2023?

THE BUZZ

“Inspired” best describes my feelings about 2022 and the efforts that are collectively being led to address the racial injustices and disparities that have long plagued our country. Few times in recent history have we seen such diverse groups and organizations engaging in efforts to increase their understanding, advocacy, and support for underserved and marginalized groups. Our organization is no exception as we build on diversity, equity and inclusion priorities developed to grow and improve our sport, our business, and community impact.

THE GOOD

OMG there are just so many… My floor routine went viral, I graduated from the #1 Public University in the nation, UCLA, I opened the MET Gala & was dressed by Stella McCartney, I was a part of Simone Biles’ Gold Over America Tour which was incredible. I’ve been working on some partnerships that will be coming out very soon that I’m very excited for you all to see.

THE ADD

I honestly am very proud of how I have attacked 2021. Everything I wanted to work on last year got its fair attention & has only gotten stronger since the new year has started.

THE BUZZ

As I mentioned earlier I have some other partnerships lined up that I can’t wait to share with you all very soon.
