Christoph Köller Dr Köller (* 1960) is a co-founder and managing partner of Goergen & Köller GmbH (G&K), a consultancy company based in Germany, which specialises in innovation management projects.

His primary focus lies on projects at the interface between marketing and research results which address the integration of new technologies into the business models of targeted markets. Dr Köller especially supports research institutions and SMEs which intend to create impact of their research results in society and industry. He has developed and applied innovation evaluation and management methodologies as well as innovation processes which find widespread use by his clients.

Dr Köller has conducted various projects in the field of innovation management and knowledge & technology transfer with major research facilities from Fraunhofer Society, Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres, Leibniz Association, and universities. The business activities comprise innovation marketing, knowledge transfer, marketing strategy, market development strategies, and the development of innovation methods.

Dr Köller is currently engaged in a project focusing on the impact of humanities and social sciences in Germany. The goal of the project, which is coordinated by Prof. Eichinger, IDS Mannheim, is to analyse the current situation of German research institutes for humanities and social sciences concerning their actions and abilities to transfer research effectively and efficiently into innovations. In another recent project, he developed an instrument in cooperation with DLR and Rheinische Fachhochschule Cologne, called “Enabling Innovation”, which allows to identify the innovative potential of non-university research institutes and to give advice how to improve it. It is planned by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research that Enabling Innovation is applied in all major German research facilities.

Dr Köller brings more than 20 years of consultancy experience to the table. Prior to founding G&K, he was a managing director of SCG (St. Gallen Consulting Group) International Management


Consultants and co-founded the former Imacon GmbH, a method-driven consultancy company. Dr Kรถller studied management at the University of Cologne and graduated with a PhD from the Marketing Department of Prof Dr Richard Kรถhler. He has been a managing partner of G&K since 1999.
