It also boasts one of the best roof-top views of the northern Johannesburg landscape, in the direction of the Sterkfontein caves, which echo Mark Read’s interest in fossils and natural science. At a prestigious opening event on Thursday 5 November, Mark Read introduced the intriguing building to some 280 invited guests. The first artists to be exhibited at the new gallery are highly acclaimed Karel Nel and Willem Boshoff.
