THE BABY HUB HK

Long-time DB resident Marcella King has set up The Baby Hub HK, a home-visiting service for all things baby. Various personalised packages are on offer to support new mums and dads on their parenting journey. In addition to regular health check-ups, a home visit typically includes developmental assessment, postnatal support and advice on bonding with your child. Marcella can offer support on feeding, including weight monitoring, breast feeding, bottle feeding, weaning onto solid foods and pumping schedules. She can also provide hands-on help with everything from sleep routines to allergies. She offers home safety assessments, helper training and group workshops.

Marcella has over 25 years of paediatric experience, and runs the Central Health Family Practice Baby Clinic in DB. To find out more and get some support, visit www.thebabyhubhk.com.

IDEAS FOR MOTHER’S DAY

We’ve got plenty in the magazine this issue to get you in the mood for May 14. Sharon Lesley

Le Roux’s article in the parenting section, page 38, focuses on what Mother’s Day means to children as well as mums, and why it’s one of only a handful of celebrations observed by families all around the world. You’ll be wanting to treat mum on her special day, so we show you how to make a healthy and delicious blueberry mousse cake on page 48. And you can turn to our Mother’s Day wish list, on page 36, for inspiration on gifts – everything from flowers to bubbly, and most for under HK$500.
