SPEAKERS THOMAS ROBINSON, AIA Principal and Founder / LEVER Architecture Co-Chair Thomas Robinson is the Founder of LEVER Architecture, a design practice based in Portland, Oregon. His firm is widely recognized for material innovation and pioneering work with Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT). Robinson has lectured on mass timber throughout the US, Europe, and South America, and served as the USDA Wood Innovation Grant Visiting Professor at the University of Arkansas.

ISAAC CAMPBELL, AIA

Co-Founder / OFFICE 52 Architecture

Isaac Campbell is a Co-Founder of OFFICE 52 Architecture, a design practice based in Portland, Oregon dedicated to producing beautiful, well-detailed and ecologically mindful work expressive of place. The firm’s work has received numerous awards, including the 2021 Green Good Design Award and the 2019 International Architecture, American Architecture, and Green Good Design Awards from The Chicago Athenaeum.

MICHELLE LAFOE, AIA

Co-Founder /OFFICE 52 Architecture

Michelle LaFoe is a Co-Founder of OFFICE 52 Architecture and has over two decades of design and materials research experience. Michelle believes architecture, art, and technology are interrelated and thrives on combining overarching project vision with poetically practical material applications. Her creativity and design acumen has led to a range of award-winning projects. Michelle is a licensed architect and accomplished artist.

KYLE LOMMEN

Principal / Allied Works

Kyle Lommen joined Allied Works in 1997. In 2003, he opened the New York office and served as Principalin-Charge for numerous significant, high-profile projects. After returning to Portland in 2009, Lommen has been the Principal-in-Charge for a number of Allied Works’ most significant projects including, but not limited to, the National Music Centre of Canada, the US Embassy in Maputo, Mozambique, and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum.

JEN MARCHESANI

Vice President Sales & Marketing / Shildan Group

Jen Marchesani is the VP of Sales & Marketing for Shildan Group. During her 11+ years at Shildan, Jen has worked on many iconic projects featuring sustainable terracotta rainscreen and sunscreen. In her diverse role, Jen leads Shildan Sales & Marketing while also working with owners and architects to develop unique shapes, custom glazes, and project-specific details. In 2019, Jen was featured in The Architect’s Newspaper’s “Women in Facades.”

JACK MCCUTCHEON, PE Structural Designer / KPFF

Jack McCutcheon is a structural designer for KPFF. In recent years, his work has focused on designing with mass timber building materials including Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), Glued-Laminated Timber, and Mass Plywood. He was the lead engineer for the Catalyst building in Spokane, WA: the first building of its kind to utilize CLT shear wall cores. Jack strives to be a resource for the broader adoption of this material.

JARETT PELLETIER, AIA

Associate Principal / Ennead Architects

Jarrett Pelletier is an Associate Principal at Ennead Architects. Jarrett brings 16 years of experience designing buildings with extremely complex functional criteria and has worked successfully with preeminent institutions such as the University of Michigan and the University of Oregon. His high-performance designs strive to increase social connections through intelligent planning and his innovative architectural expressions have helped clients articulate their unique vision through design.


SPEAKERS MORGAN REYNOLDS, AIA, LEED AP BD+C Associate / Thornton Tomasetti

Morgan Reynolds’ 8+ years of experience include both conventional and bespoke building enclosure systems and materials, with a specialization in custom, high-performance unitized glass and aluminum curtain wall assemblies. Reynolds has also worked extensively in other aspects of facade engineering including performance mock-up testing, geometric rationalization, parametric design, and digital fabrication. He is a member of the AIA and Urban Green Council.

ANDRE VILHENA

Associate / Holst Architecture

André joined Holst Architecture in 2017, bringing over a decade of experience in residential, retail and commercial architecture. He completed his Bachelor of Architecture, Planning and Design at the University of Melbourne. His passion for the full spectrum of design, from sketch to construction, is driven by a desire to create meaningful architecture that enriches the experience of the individual and their broader community.

KIM WILSON, AIA

Owner / Holst Architecture

Kim Wilson, AIA, is Principal/Owner and Quality Director at Holst Architecture in Portland, Oregon. During Kim’s 22-year tenure at the firm, she has been instrumental to its growth and key in establishing Holst’s reputation for quality design and execution. Her body of work at Holst includes a range of multi-family residential, commercial, educational, and non-profit projects.

Young specializes in building enclosure consulting relating to new and rehabilitation construction projects. His work includes high- and low-rise commercial, institutional, and residential buildings. In addition, Young has extensive practical experience with exterior wall, window, above- and belowgrade waterproofing and roofing systems, from conceptual design though the building enclosure commissioning process.

Mark provides laminated glass training to architects, designers, engineers, and contractors. Michael Zanotelli has over 20 years of real-world experience on many of largest, high-profile projects throughout the Western United States. He works closely with inspectors, glazing contractors, and curtain wall consultants as a trusted resource on a wide range of curtain wall projects. Prior to his role as Facade and Curtain Wall Specialist for the Western US and Canada, Michael was the Western United States and Hawaii Regional Manager. MIKE CROWDER | Kalwall

Mike Crowder, LEED AP, has 25+ years of experience in the building materials industry as a national sales manager. For the past 20 years, he has been a key member of the Kalwall/Structures Unlimited team, traveling across the U.S. and Canada educating architects, engineers, and contractors on the benefits of natural daylighting. Mike has presented over 2,000 AIA-accredited courses.
