2022 MLB Postseason Toronto Blue Jays Clinched shirt meaning: Ives’s name was catapulted into the 2022 MLB Postseason Toronto Blue Jays Clinched shirt moreover I love this spotlight in 2017 when Adwoa Aboah wore his work—an ivory white, society swan-inspired gown partially made from upcycled vintage pieces—to attend

the Met Gala. “There was no plan,” he says, of how he approached that sudden influx of industry attention. “My strategy when we started doing this officially after I graduated was to take it slow. I had one shot at this, so I really didn’t wanna screw that up.” That willingness to take the necessary time to think about what comes next has allowed him to dream big while making smart decisions that align with his vision and values. “I struggle with being a sustainable designer and the whole idea of making more product, because at the end of the day, that is a contradiction in itself,” Ives explains. “There’s nothing sustainable about making more clothes for a world that is already so heavily saturated [with them].” In order to mitigate this contradiction, about 75% of his brand’s product offering is made from vintage, secondhand, or deadstock material. If there are products that haven’t sold at the end of a season, Ives and his team work to find a new way to repurpose the material. “To figure out how we find our way out of this mess,” he says of the fashion industry’s issues with overproduction, “someone has to try something. I’m fine to be the person that tries it.”
