THE JUDGES Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab (“Dato’ Dr. Amir”) is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CyberSecurity Malaysia, the agency that monitors e-sovereignty of the country. He has approximately 30 years of ICT working experience in the telecom and IT sector in the Government as well as in the semi-government and private sectors.

During Dato’ Ts. Dr. Amir’s leadership as CEO, Cybersecurity Malaysia (CSM) managed to contribute to Malaysia’s achievement in attaining top 10 ranking in the world, at International Telecom Union (ITU) Global Cyber Security Index studies and became first Malaysian to chair World Trustmark Alliance (2014-2015). Besides that, during his leadership, CSM was awarded as Best Cyber Security Innovation Award 2015 recipient by FireEye Global and won Champion Prizes at the World Summit of the Information Society (WSIS) for 2 consecutive years (2016 & 2017) and also most recently in year 2020 as a winner of WSIS Prizes 2020 Category 5 at World Summit of the Information Society (WSIS) 2020: “Building Confidence and Security in the use of ICTs. He was also selected to receive an ASEAN Award as the Outstanding Chief Information/Security Officer in conjunction with the 10th ASEAN CIO| CSO Summit and Awards 2014 held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 2 December 2014. On 2nd May 2018, he has been registered in Malaysia Board of Technologist as Professional Technologist which has allowed him to use abbreviation “Ts” before his name.


THE JUDGES Dr. EL Ching have conducted research on “The study of cargo crime during road transportation in Malaysia: Application of Routine Activities Theory in relation to cargo crime within the supply chain in Malaysia� and awarded with Phd in Criminology from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2019. Worked with Royal Malaysia Police Force for 10 years in Crime Investigation Department. Left the Police force and joined National Semiconductor in Penang. Worked at TNT Express and Logistics as Asia Regional Security and Safety Manager, Finisar Malaysia as Safety and Security Manager, Sunpower Solar Cell Manufacturing and Honeywell Global Security. Last position as Asia Pacific Security Director before retired in early 2020.

Dr. Ching Eng Leong, PJK

Currently the Secretary of Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Penang since 2017, District Chairman of MCPF Seberang Perai Tengah since 2018, Vice-Chairman of OSAC (United States Oversea Security and Advisory Council US Embassy) Malaysia from 2011 and become Chairman in 2019. Also the Vice-Chairman of ASIS (America Society of Industrial Security) Malaysia Chapter for 4 years and Chairman since 2019.


THE JUDGES Magda Chelly is currently leading Cyber Risk Consulting for Marsh Asia. Magda is very involved in diversity initiatives and is leading the Women of Security Chapter (WoSEC) in Singapore. Magda previously co-founded Responsible Cyber and is a former Chief Information Security Officer. She has a Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and is a Certified Information Security Officer (S-CISO). Magda has been supporting companies across the world as a CISO during her career, building cyber security strategies, and technical roadmaps for continuously changing technological landscapes. She has been a keynote speaker for international conferences, and is recognized as an international influencer, globally.

THE JUDGES Currently serves on the Board of Directors for ISACA Malaysia Chapter. a non-profit organization for IT Security, Governance, Risk and Audit professionals as the Chapter President. He is the CIO of Jewel Paymentech, a financial risk technology company providing intelligent risk solutions through artificial intelligence and machine learning. He has also held positions in Standard Chartered and British American Tobacco being a SME in the area of risk and compliance. Prior to that, he was with PwC where he served clients primarily from financial services and manufacturing industries in various security consulting and audit engagements. Ser Yoong holds a MBA from Putra University Malaysia (UPM) and a BSc. Information Systems & Management (1st Class Honors) from University of London (LSE). He is certified as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT).

THE JUDGES Bonnie Butlin, also known around the world as “Canada’s First Lady of Security” is the co-founder and executive director of the Security Partners’ Forum (SPF), a first-of-its-kind agile international network of security professionals, bridging all domains and disciplines of security. Under the SPF banner, she created the Women in Security and Resilience Alliance (WISECRA), which engages a growing network of women in security and resilience associations and groups globally. Since 2013, Bonnie Butlin has received some 22 international and national-level awards, accolades, and recognitions related to security, resilience, and leadership. In 2017, she was appointed to the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network in Cybersecurity, and in 2018 was appointed to the Global Advisory Council of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM).

THE WINNERS Asou is a CISM, CISO, CISSP, CEH, CHFI certified professional, and hold Master of Computer Science (Security in Computing). She has authored and co-authored several scientific papers and books and has conducted a wide range of training courses in computer forensics and cybersecurity in the region. She is currently working as cybersecurity Lead at Schneider Electric (APAC), managing multiple cybersecurity streams like vulnerability management, security standards and regulations, SIEM and SOC implementation, cloud security, executive training, project management, and cybersecurity R&D strategic plan. In addition, Asou has an excellent reputation for cybersecurity strategy and implementation, resolving problems, improving customer satisfaction, and driving overall operational improvements in both IT and OT domains and for different industries globally.

THE WINNERS Raihan Ismail has been in the IT industry for more than 15 years, focusing on Information Security audit, governance, risk and compliance. She has contributed her knowledge and expertise in various industries throughout her career path; namely, telco, investment holding company, audit firm, IT solutions provider, retail, and port services. She has driven initiatives that have proven significant improvement in an organization's cybersecurity maturity posture. Raihan holds a degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Information Management from local universities. She has published several academic articles and papers for local and international conferences. She is a Certified Data Center Risk Professional, Certified Disaster Recovery Professional, she is also certified in several security product range from Microsoft, Symantec, TrendMicro and Websense. She is currently pursuing for more certifications in the areas of security and cyber risk. THE WINNERS Close to 16 years of experience within internal and external audit focusing on Insurance, Banking and Manufacturing companies. Reshvin started her audit career in IT Advisory, KPMG Malaysia as an Associate. Subsequently, she joined ING Insurance Berhad and Danajamin Nasional Berhad before joining Zurich Insurance Malaysia Berhad in 2013 as an IT Audit Manager. Reshvin has been engaged mostly in IT related audit works, including IT Controls such as IT security, business recovery processes, IT general controls and others. Knowledge and experiences from IT Audit were also applied for non-IT audits to support more in-depth review.

Currently, she is holding the position as Head of IT Audit for Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad covering General and Takaful business. She provides support to IT audits in Malaysia and Globally. This working platform with a wide network has enabled Reshvin to further enrich her local and international knowledge and experience. In 2020, Reshvin was also being admitted as one of the directors for ISACA Malaysia. She holds a CISA certification from ISACA.

THE WINNERS With more than 20 years working experience in Banking, Oil & Gas and Consulting Services, Devika Rani Krishnan is a thought leader with a vast background in governance and delivery management under Transformation and Change comprising of Organisational Changes, Service Transformation/ Programme Management as well as overseeing the governance in Risk and Control. She is currently spearheading the Risk and Control governance within the SCB COO of Trust, Data and Resilience (TDR) portfolio. Her main priority in this role is to ensure compliance to Cyber Security Controls and Standards are met throughout the TDR COO functions.

Devika Rani Krishnan

Her key achievements in this role is setting up a monitoring and tracking capability for elevated residual risk treatment plans and enriching the various risk governance forum packs for obtaining better outcomes. Prior to that, as the Head of the Centre of Excellence, she was managing the Impact Assesments & Technology Application Risk & Compliance function, which essentially ensures Cybersecurity risk assessments and control design effectiveness are managed and enforced across all technology applications within SCB. In her extensive experience, she has always aimed to drive for excellence and continuous improvement as well as supporting the people she works with to further achieve success and deliver effective change. Her motto throughout her career is “How can I help make this better” and with a growth mindset, she’s constantly striving for perfection without being deterred by setbacks while being self aware enough to work with limitations that sometimes present limitless opportunities.

Her area of expertise is in Information and Cyber Security, Internet of Things Security, Smart devices Security and Mobile Security. She has extensively worked on research projects revolving Mobile devices, Smart cities applications and Smart homes. Her zeal in these areas is well demonstrated in her research projects and grants, lecturing, student’s supervision, and training/consultancy courses. Manmeet holds several grants involving APT-groups and Privacy Risk. She started off her career in Integrated Circuit (IC) Design field where she was involved heavily in R&D and IC consultancy. With over 10 years of experience in cyber security, she specialises in Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII) policies and framework, ISO 27001, technology strategy and business continuity. An avid technologist, she is passionate about synergy of business and technology. Dr Carrine is also part of Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Malaysia Association of Information System (AIS) and Malaysian Institute of Management. She was part of the team which spearheaded Malaysian Women in Security (MYWiS). She champions women in cyber security and cyber safety for all. She is also the Vice President for Nanyang Technological University Alumni (Malaysia). Dr Carrine Teoh holds PhD in Information Technology (Cybersecurity) from Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia, Master of Business Administration from University of South Australia, Australia and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP).
