By Antoine Chaya

Antoine Chaya is a senior director of strategic accounts with the Oracle Corporation in Redwood Shores, California. In addition to an MBA in management, Antoine Chaya holds a PhD in information technology management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Georgia Tech’s information technology management (ITM) programs are intended to address the growing field of IT and its impact on business. IT has changed how managers work in terms of everything from business analytics to social media. The ITM PhD program at Georgia Tech, which began in 1990, explores how advances in IT have changed the behavioral and economic landscape not only for businesses and consumers but for society and government. The program helps prepare graduates for careers in research or academic teaching in the information systems field. Most students complete the program in five or six years with a doctoral defense presented to the faculty at the Scheller College of Business.
