It is time that we remember our Lord and Saviour Christ’s sacrifice, the ransom that was paid, the salvation that was attained, and the glory that awaits us. Brothers and sisters, be awakened to the truth that is in Christ who saved us from sin and death. Know your worth, the value that is placed in us, the beauty that we possess in the eyes of our father in heaven. We are loved beyond measure and saved beyond any degree that we can imagine. It is time to take up our invitation to the feast of grace, find peace in Him, and walk in the LIGHT. Amen.

Next Week’s Question... Forgiveness is the atonement of one’s wrongdoing, graciously given. Have you ever truly felt relived of a burden by another individual? If possible, share a personal example of your own.

Q: Christ showed us love on the cross. When, in your experience, have you encountered examples of love? A: Well, first off, I would have to say that nothing on earth could ever compare to the love that Christ showed on the cross on Good Friday. But still, I see people showing a similar love every day. For example, love that is unconditional. When my friend’s.... And also love that is patient. My wife... Love that endures through the ages. I saw an old couple one day walking...

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you. “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned? It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father. “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things

have taken place. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven. I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven. “You have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment, and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raqa,’ will be answerable to the Sanhedrin, and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be liable to fiery Gehenna. Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court with him. Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison. Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny. “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to

Ezekiel 2:2–5

1

As the LORD spoke to me, the spirit entered into me and set me on my feet, and I heard the one who was speaking say to me: Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, rebels who have rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have revolted against me to this very day. Hard of face and obstinate of heart are they to whom I am sending you. But you shall say to them: Thus says the LORD GOD! And whether they heed or resist—for they are a rebellious house—they shall know that a prophet has been among them.

2 Corinthians 12: 7–10

Brothers and sisters: That I, Paul, might not become too elated, because of the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, an angel of Satan, to beat me, to keep me from being too elated. Three times I begged the Lord about this, that it might leave me, but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me. Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

~ Sunday School Lesson (YG Style) There are many times, in the life of a Christian, when we will find ourselves being accused of false intentions because of our history, background, or even just how we appear on the surface. This situation will present itself one day for all who show a genuine passion for Christ and his Love. We will be criticized for our Christian living and the expression of these virtues. In these moments of distress and disbelief, lean on the understanding of God alone. There will be no need to justify ourselves and our actions, for God alone will bring justice to our deeds. Continue to persevere in His name and always remember, “In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I (Jesus) have conquered the world.”

Notes:

Mark 6:1–6

G

Jesus departed from there and came to his native place, accompanied by his disciples. When the sabbath came he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished. They said, “Where did this man get all this? What kind of wisdom has been given him? What mighty deeds are wrought by his hands! Is he not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him. Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and among his own kin and in his own house.” So he was not able to perform any mighty deed there, apart from curing a few sick people by laying his hands on them. He was amazed at their lack of faith.

~ Prayer Box “For my grandma’s health, that she might find relief from the bodily pains of old age.” “For my sister, as she prepares to bring a new baby boy into this world, that her child might be bealthy and welcome with warmth and love.”

“For my father’s ankle, that he finds a speedy and strong recovery.” “For the YG, that they grab onto the guidance of new leaders and continue to follow with eyes fixed up Christ.”

“For my mother, that she can keep strong as she works to start up her new business.” “For my aunt, as she continues to battle the cancer that is debilitating her body. God grant her some peace of mind. Let her find solace in You.”
