Depressed Midwest is a project that aims to draw focus towards the skateboarding community and culture in central time, and hopefully inspire others to go skate and create things themselves. This issue features a section, "Depressed Trip West", which contains photos from a recent trip to Los Angeles, CA. Along with this issue of Depressed Midwest, my good friend, Alex Rado, helped film a short skate film that will accompany the zine. Check the Vimeo link for the video! The zine is still young and developing, with nothing concrete or absolute about it. I hope to eventually expand the project with work from other photographers, or anyone else that is open to sharing ideas
