The Paradigm of Yoga: Rest & Activity - and an heuristic metaphoric tool, "The Tree of Life", to understand the paradigm with. This document is still undergoing revision, this is version 17:3, 19 Nov 2008. I notice, now that I read my own wordings on-line, that there seems to be a certain 'wordiness' to my phrasings (doh, me ears burn a bit). I'll have to rephrase - but I do think the main points of the ideas I attempt to convey have been stated and that the metaphoric view I present allows for an understanding of the algorythmy of recursivity of yogic method, i.e. process. Yoga is a process to unite the two apexes of life, rest & activity, in the individual, and thus the prescriptives of specific method should not be looked upon as ideological determinates - this work represents a naturalistic stance on the darśana, the vision, of yoga.
