Leadership Training of Alabama WMU
When: Friday & Saturday, July 22-23, 2016 Where: Shocco Springs Baptist Conference Center, Talladega Who: Anyone (church or associational) who in any way leads Women’s Ministry, WMU, Women on Mission, Adults on Mission, Acteens, Youth on Mission, Girls Ministry, Girls in Action, Children in Action, Mission Friends or Royal Ambassadors (in cooperation with Alabama Baptist Men’s Ministries).
Equip is a time of enrichment, training and encouragement for WMU and Women’s Ministry leaders or anyone interested in missions and ministry. Training conferences help leaders focus on specific areas of ministry and their leadership needs. Additional breakouts provide times of enrichment with missionaries highlighting their work, as well as other speakers sharing on a variety of missions, ministry and life topics. Ministers’ Wives Luncheon Wives of all ministers (pastors, youth ministers, music ministers, directors of missions, etc.) are invited to attend our annual ministers’ wives luncheon held in conjunction with the State Evangelism Conference. This year’s guest speaker will be Kathy Litton, NAMB’s National Consultant for Ministry to Pastors’ Wives. Registration is required for the luncheon.

Temporary Child Care Training Alabama WMU’s Temporary Child Care disaster relief ministry provides free childcare during disasters for children from infants through grade 6. This training session will prepare volunteers to serve on a disaster relief team through the ministry of Temporary Child Care.

Alabama Challenge Team Challenge Team members are young women who are committed Christ-followers and are actively involved in their churches. They represent Alabama WMU at events and assist with the planning of COMPLETE. They also are eligible for a mission trip scholarship.

2016 Emerging Leaders Forum Help a young woman in your church develop her leadership skills, make new friends and deepen her relationship with Christ. Emerging Leaders Forum features sessions with Christian female leaders and missionaries, leadership development activities and spiritual development studies. There will be a “next-level” track offered for girls returning for a second year.
