Welcome to the 25th Annual Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival and Lecture Series. It is our pleasure to present the world premiere of three short films at our awards ceremony.
We are presenting American Triptych directed and written by Trailblazer honoree Booker T. Mattison with films by our Micro Budget Fellows Camille Simone Thomas (Gro Up) and Liz Sargent (Take Me Home).
Congratulations to our honorees Booker T. Mattison, Stacey Holman and Mugga for their many contributions in the film industry. We are proud to honor their work and selfless support of emerging artists.
Through our Screenwriting and Micro Budget Fellowship Program, Reel Sisters has moved from showcasing films in the festival to supporting women of color in developing stories for film and television. Join us in supporting script to screen projects by making a donation to Reel Sisters.
As the first Oscar qualifying film festival for women filmmakers in the nation, we are com mitted to carving out a space for women of color to reach a global audience.
